Score from 533 reviews Good
Our rooms were close to elevator and snack/water area. Everything was clean and the maid service was excellent.
The hard beds. The round about way to get to the hotel. One exit for leaving and one for arriving. When you don't know the area I was confused.
The rooms needs updating, Wi-Fi was poor, the refrigerator was loud.
Lights went out, no shower curtain
Location to FedEx Field.Food at restaurant was good. Staff was very friendly and was willing to help in anyway.
Mattress was horrible. Tub in shower did not drain well. The restaurant was not clean,
Proximity to DC metro area & general services.
Breakfast no longer included in price.
Location close to all activities.
Air conditioner very noisy thou out the night.
Location was very convenient for my trip, easy to reach from BWI. Spacious room with tea & coffee facilities. Shopping center in walking distance. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Somewhat used look of many elements,Wifi relatively slow.
Overall we enjoyed our experience. Parking and WIFI were free, staff was friendly and a shuttle was provided to get us to the metro.
What we didn't enjoy was that the bathroom was dated and had tooth paste stains on the door/front of counter. There was no complimentary breakfast. And a stranger walked into our room while we're were resting after a day of touring. It left us feeling like anyone had access to our room. The hallways were extremely hot as well.
- Standard Holiday Inn
- Expensive for the location (OK, Goddard is very close)
Interacting with the staff was pleasant and productive at all times. The room was quiet. The price was appropriately competitive.
This hotel is old-looking and needs to be refurbished. It's one of those places whose general wear and tear could cause one to downgrade the cleanliness unfairly.
Breakfast was not complimentary when I get a hotel around those rates with complimentary breakfast I chose the free breakfast.
TV didn't work well. I called maintenance once, they fixed the problem, but it happened again.
Room was clean. Location good. Nice rides to Metro, always friendly and surprisingly prompt.
Cold mashed potatoes. Inedible cole slaw. Reheating mashed potatoes in kitchen did not warm them sufficiently. HVAC needs a lower speed fan too. Refrig/Freezed had standing water in it all three nights. Only left note for cleaning staff, not the desk, we were off to have fun.
staff very friendly cleanliness
Close to 95 and attractions. Beds are great.
Someone didn't clean up the shampoo bottle out of the shower.
-Waiting staff in restaurant extremely slow - Noise during all night due to loud neighbours - Sunday bar not opened. Did not get anything after long flight.
The location was great for my needs. Easy parking. Excellent customer service at the front desk!
In general everything about this hotel was dated and worn. This was especially true of the air conditioner. When it was working it was very loud. And then it quit working, and of course the timing could not have been worse. I reported it on my way out around 7pm. When I got back around midnight it was working again. That was excellent customer service! You still need new AC units and hopefully they will be quieter.
Very spacious room, Very Clean, Friendly Staff
Very low toilet (my family is tall), Fire alarm was pulled in the middle of the night so we all (myself, my fiancé and 5 year old child) had to get out of bed at 2:45am and go outside until the fire department let us back in 45 minutes later but it wasn't the hotel's fault so I won't blame them for that
Hotel's location - not difficult to locate.
The lobby does not project a good image and the room looks a bit tired. They promised free breakfast but I had to pay $10 for it. Most annoyingly, 2 housekeepers knocked on my door to ask if I was staying another nite and I said yes only for front desk to call me later that I had to check out cos they were overbooked. Good thing is they recommended a better, cheaper hotel am happier with.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Overall the hotel seemed run down and shabby. My room wasn't cleaned twice during my 4 night stay. I expected a little more for $100/night.
I liked that the room was nice and had plenty of space. Also Very comfortable and A/C blows really cold :).
The bathroom door in 714 would not shut and close smoothly. Looks like the hinges were falling off.
Close to metro station.
The pool was nice, and so was the restaurant. Coffee machine in the lobby was great.
Poor wifi reception in the pool area
24-hour Latte machine in lobby Buffet breakfast Nearness to Goddard Space Flight Center
Upon arrival no rooms were available (I was only an hour early). We had lunch on the facilities and returned in an hour only to learn that my room (a king) was still not available. I was told I could be given a double queen which I reluctantly accepted. I noticed that I was being charged an additional $40 per night and asked why. I was told "it depends on the availability of the room." I said I would wait for my confirmed king at the lesser price for which I originally I booked it. The price for the double was changed to the lower price but this transaction tainted the entire stay. You couldn't accommodate me so I compromised on what I was promised and then you attempt to charge me for my compliance with your lack of readiness. Ridiculous!
