Hollywood Downtowner Inn    

The staff was excellent, went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Lots of free parkingspots behind the hotel. Our special request was seen to. Big sized beds. Good breakfast. Overall a good motel with walking distance to Walk of Fame and other tourist attractions.

Noisy from Hollywood Blvd(not a suprise but still negative). Zink in our room(nr 16) had no hot water. The water smelled a lot of chlorine so you had to brush your teeth with bought water.

The gentleman at the desk was very helpful and looked after us very well.

The decor is quite dated but everything is clean and we had a comfortable stay.

Very noisy, (guests and street noise), at night a lot of lights were left on and the curtains didn't block it,not enough parking for the number of rooms

Good location, close to underground station, close to famous Hollywood places, safe area. In our room we had all we needed (microvawe, coffee machine, TV set, wifi), we did not miss anything important. Breakfast was quite ok.

For a motel, this place is awesome. Fridge, microwave, AC/heater, parking and coffee maker provided and working :)! The courtyard of the inn is beautiful, the staff is wonderful, breakfast was delicious given that it is a motel, and the room provided a comfortable stay.

Location is a bit shady, however that is Hollywood blvd in all it's glory. Wonderful place to stay just be cautious if your a female who plans on walking at night.

There were no printing facilities.

The staff was super friendly, they even gave us late check-out at no extra cost. The location, very close to the action in Hollywood. The breakfast was really good, with a basic selection of cereals, toast, scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, hash browns, and fresh fruit and juice, nice little restaurant with character.

The cockroach we found in our room. The pool that was advertised as heated but was not, the bathroom window did not close, and the sliding glass door was cracked all the way across and did not lock.

An individual living room makes the Inn special. l

The bed is too hard.

They are continuing to make improvements and that's good. And it's looking nice, but we had no where to hang our towels. But thier Breakfast is good. I went with my Mother & Aunt two ladies very hard to please. And thanks to the cook. She made them feel at home. I already liked theDowntowner and have stayed many times. The real test is YES my Mother is looking forward to staying again. Thank you.

The POOL is not heated. And for the same price I can stay at the Hilton here in Fremont and thier POOL is always heated even Thanksgiving. And the Ice Mechine was out of order and that was 3 days. They could of gotton it fixed in 3 days.

The staff were really friendly. Hotel location was excellent.

The breakfast was the best thing in this stay. Though it is located outside the hotel, after a short walk you enjoy your meal in the best breakfast place you can have in L.A. "The House of Tacos" offers great hot food with a variety and quality that will satisfy your appetite.

The Staff. The reception employee was extremely rude and unhelpful. She gave a late check out to the couple in our room and made us wait for hours. She refused to help in anyway. The staff was the worst in the stay. Though the room and the sheets were very clean, the bathroom was not. They obviously forgot or chose not to do it after the previous residents left the room.

the experience is very bad. it's too noisy to sleep and the facilities are very poor.

Nice location. 2 blocks from the 101 and walking distance to all the Hollywood attractions.

The hotel was clean and the hotel's staff was kind and available. Good wifi.

The hotel is not in a good position as it is in an unsafe area. If you have a car there are no problem but if you don't have the car I don't suggest this hotel. Breakfast very poor.

The location is very good they have swimming pool and they are very friendly...

Close to the Greek.

The gentlemen that checked us in was wonderful, friendly answered all questions about the area. The woman in the morning refused to give us towels stating we had enough towels. Four women needed more towels.

The hotel staff was V. friendly, always helpful when we had doubts about restaurants, nearest laundry, the best way to get to a place, etc. The receptionist even took the phone next door once - where breakfast is served - so I could talk to my sister who was calling from Brazil. During our two-week stay in the us, the most varied and delicious breakfast served was, undoubtedly, at the Hollywood Downtowner Inn.

The room we stayed at was V. different from the pictures we saw at the website. It needs to be refurbished and painted, as well as the bathroom & kitchen. The linen & pillows were clean but the towels and the room as a whole should be better cleaned. I even found some clothes from the previous person who occupied the room in one of the drawers...
