Room tended to get stuffy
I love the history of this hotel, it is old but has nicely updated rooms. The rooms are quiet, cozy, and chic, and the beds comfortable. One of the most clean hotels I've stayed in. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I love this location as it's within walking distance to many clubs, tourist attractions, bars, and eateries. The surroundings may look a bit shady but the atmosphere is familiar and inviting.
The Wi-Fi has greatly declined since my last visit, practically non existent. Perhaps a busy weekend?
super small rooms, no elevator and no help to bring suitcases to the room, no facilities like place to put the suitcases.
The small breakfast included is a plus. Comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. big rooms.
no elevator. a bit noisy. some staff members were nice but the rest were not that much.
Clean and new rooms, not very big but for one or two nights Ok. Small but good breakfast. Only 5 minutes to walk to the Walk of Fame.
in the evening the area around the motel is a little bit suspect, but we never felt unsaved there. The parking space was expensive ($15 for 24h), but there are more possibilities to park the car for less money or if you arrive at evening and leave early there are parking meter.
Price is reasonable and staff are friendly and accommodating.
Front desk is not 24 hours. You can only checkin at 3pm. No possibility of early checkin, though you can store luggages at the front desk provided that they are there. Breakfast starts at 8am, which is a little late for those going on tours.
The hotel location is great near the Hollywood blvd and the staff especially Neffy (hotel's manager) was awsome and helped us with any question or problem.
I loved how close we were to everything. Being able to experience the city life staying here at this hotel was a plus. Bathrooms were extremely clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. A little small but absolutely perfect for couples .
The only thing that bothered us was the door having only one lock which caused a little paranoia. So maybe upgrading the doors would be it.
The gentleman receptionist (sorry I can't remember his name) was extremely helpful and went out of his way to help us on numerous occasions. The location was excellent and just one street away from Hollywood Boulevard. The Pizzeria restaurant opposite was also excellent value and the meatballs were the best I've tasted!
Nothing about the hotel but Hollywood Boulevard was horrible, tacky and dirty!!
* Very good service from the gentleman at front desk * free basic breakfast
The location is great Very big showers Very comfy beds Very helpful staff Cute breakfast in the morning Feels very charming
Very nice location clean room nice bathroom friendly staff
No elevetor breakfast poor
Bathroom cleanliness was top quality. Bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly.
Parking was too far from hotel. Also when the parking company moved our parking area because they were hiring the car park out for a function - we were not informed and got back to hotel to park late one evening and had a hard time finding a new place to park. We paid for the parking spot so we should have had that park available for our whole stay. The new parking area was not secure. Walking around in that area at night trying to figure out where you are going to park is very unsafe and really gave us a bad taste about the whole stay. Actually for the price of the accommodation parking should be free.
Nice hotel. The location is perfect, right next to Hollywood blvd. Room was spacious with a very comfy bed and lots of pillows (which is awesome).
I stayed for 5 days, and my room wasn't cleaned even once!
Location very good, just one block from the walk of fame, and 5 mins driving from Hollywood universal studio
No elevator, Room very old and small, bed is right next to the door... AC too loud and there was strange noise at night from somewhere
Ligging tov Hollywood, Universal Studios, Sunset Blvd, Beverly Hills.
Isolatie van vloeren, muren, ramen,... Veel lawaaihinder, voornamelijk 's avonds en in de ochtend.
location - 5 min by foot to hollywood blvd 15 min by car to the grove with apple store and wholefoods market 10 min by car to universal studios Really one of the cosiest motels
no elevator to the 3d floor))
Location was great, just a 5-10 minute walk to Hollywood and Vine metro station. CVS Pharmacy is conveniently located just across the street for groceries and other basic items. Room is a good size and well-designed; simple but comfortable. Breakfast items (bagels, apples, bananas, cereal bars, coffee/tea) were great for eating on the go. Reception staff were also very patient and helpful with enquiries. Had a very nice five-night stay here.
Wifi slightly spotty. Breakfast served only from 8am onwards, which I felt was a bit late.
The Hotel Hollywood is a perfect hidden gem in the heart of Hollywood. The area was a bit shady at night, but nothing to be worried about and no harm. Only one block from Hollywood Blvd. and less than a mile from the tourist attractions of Grauman's Chinese Theatre and Hollywood/Highland. The room was small, but very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Continental breakfast is served in the morning with bagels, fruit, coffee, tea, etc. The staff was excellent - extremely nice and helpful. It is definitely a place I'd recommend to anyone especially those on a tight budget.
Friendly staff, gave us good advice what to do, printed stuff for us. Really nice!
LA in general not a great city. The neighborhood could be better but as we slept early because of our jet lag we were not out that late. But we can imagine it can be scary late in the evening.
The location is close to Hollywood Boulevard and metro station Hollywood / Vine The staff is really friendly and will help you with anything The room was clean and quiet
The breakfast is laid out in a small room facing the lobby and there is no place to sit down
Hotel near red line metro. Clean basic rooms. Staff friendly. Close to a 7 store. Short walk to Hollywood Boulevard.
Location at night didn't feel safe. Breakfast area too small. Food not fresh. No hotel staff after 10 pm. No good restaurants for a mile.
Woke the people up at 1.30 am, plane was sooo late... Staff were great, room was clean, location is great. Parking is well organized. Would stay again.
breakfast could be better, and somewhere... Workers next building were demolishing walls during whole night... bad noises, but really, not up to hotel stuff.
I had the most amazing experience at Hollywood hotel, I checked out and went to NYC and realized I had left my tablet PC, I called a week later, the gentleman at desk checked ( i forget his name, but I know he is from srilanka) and confirmed that they had found the tablet and kept it for me..and I picked it up when i came back to LA..without any fuss..THANK YOU HOLLYWOOD HOTEL .I thought I had lost them..but it was really awesome to get it back and staff's amazing honesty to hold and give back to me is touching. Stay wise its close to everything the walk of fame, Hollywood highland metro and pub, food...can;t ask for more at the price offered.
