The Hotel Hollywood    

Staff were great! Very helpful. Room was extremely clean and comfortable. The location was a short walk to hollywood and subway. Breakfast was great and yes the breakfast room was small but it added to the character of the place. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything was great. We were on the top floor and the stairs were no problem. A little bit noisy at night but our inability to sleep was probably due to our jetlag.

The hotel is very close to the Pantages Theater and all Hollywood attractions. The staff is friendly, curious and very helpful.

No Elevator. Very small breakfast area.

Considering the price compared to other hotels in the area it was good value for money. The rooms were small but made good use of the limited space, and were very clean and nicely furnished. The hotel was not far from the walk of fame and across the street there are places to eat as well as pharmacy/supermarket. Breakfast was bagels, fruit and coffee, delicious!

Neighbourhood felt a little unsafe at night. Our room was on the ground floor and we could hear a lot of street noise and yelling etc, not much that the hotel could do to help that I understand, but we didn't sleep very well because of it.

The guy at the reception was one of the nicest persons we have ever met. He was super friendly and helpful all the time!! The hotel was nice and clean, close to the subway and to shops and restaurants. Perfect location for tourists.

Breakfast area was a bit small but it was not a big problem.

Close to the venue and in the heart of where we wanted to be in Hollywood.

The bed in our room had a terrible sag in the middle and was very uncomfortable to sleep.

Location was good in Hollywood area. Hotel clean with historic feeling. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel has guest access (daily cost) to a close, fenced parking lot with come and go privileges. Daily cost of parking was not high. Parking at your hotel is a definite necessity in this very busy and widespread city.

It did not have an elevator and we were on the 3rd floor. Not good for people who have heavy luggage.

We liked the convenient location (near our daughter's school and our son's work), the clean room, the convenient parking.

We didn't like the late (for our schedule) hours of the lobby, front desk, breakfast, and business center; by 8am, our day is half over. We would have preferred those amenities to be available earlier in the day.

No one was available at the reception during normal office hours, had to call a US number just to be able to check in

The location and cleanliness of the hotel. Easy walk to metro station (Red Line), and also closeby attractions - walk of fame, ... about 15-20 minutes. A centrally located place to other places of attraction via public transport - use day pass USD5! - Santa Monica, Downtown, ...

Room is small and no elevator. We were on the third floor. No 24 hr front desk - need to check in yrself if arrive after their office hours - good thing our airport shuttle driver helped us to call the number we need to contact to get into the hotel! Breakfast time is 8 am on weekdays or 9 am on weekends.

The staff was super friendly and aproachable. The rooms were clean every single day and were really cousy. the market and CVS just a block away makes it easier to stick to a low budget vacation or just to buy some extra things you need. It's really close to the walk of fame, dolby theatre and Chinese Theatre (about a mile or so). All in all it was a great hotel and so happy i found it on booking. If you're in a tight budget (or even if you're not even counting the money) this Hotel is the perfect option since it's fairly close to whatever is important to visit in Hollywood.

Everyone mention the breakfast and the space where it's served. On my behalf and considering my friends opinions. yes there could be another options to the continental breakfast (bagels, juice, coffee and a variety of things to eat along with the bagel) but as mentioned there is a CVS and a market nearby. And the breakfast is served almost until lunch time with fruit included.

We are old movie buffs and just loved that we stayed in the same room Marilyn Monroe had! And that James Dean had also stayed at the hotel. We liked that it was walking distance from many Hollywood sites.

Friendly staff, good location. Nice to have breakfast available. The staff were happy to look after our luggage whilst we went to Vegas for a few days, which was really helpful!

The room we stayed in downstairs (102) was a little noisy as it was right by the stairs, reception and the front door.

Great, simple room near everything.

Location is good: a 5 min walk to Hollywood Blvd, and close to highways if you have a car. Note that this hotel is located at the eastern part of the Hollywood Blvd, which is not a very safe area at night. But we never felt unsafe, especially that we had our own car and did not walk at night. The room was very clean. The staff were very helpful. I asked for a hairdryer and a luggage scale, and they were more than helpful in providing them. In general the hotel was good value/money.

Parking is not for free, but this is la anyway! At least the price was reasonable. Breakfast is horrible. We ended up skipping it. The hotel does not have an elevator, and I saw other comments asking poeple to prefer 1st floor rooms. I was given a 1st floor room, and did not like it at all. It felt like sleeping on the street, especially that the windows blinds did not provide much privacy. If you are fit, can carry your bags on the stairs, and you plan to stay for more than one night, choose an upper level room.

Staff is very nice and helpful. Location is very good, near the vine subway station, near Hollywood boulevard and close to Sunset boulevard. Continental breakfast provides you with a lot of food.

Maybe a bit expensive, but cheaper than other hotels in the area.

Great location, very helpfull and friendly staff, very clean, free wifi and a great breakfast to start you off. I would not go back to Hollywood but I loved this hotel.

It was noisy on the first floor. Breakfast a bit limited.

at the time of the check out the front office told me there is nothing left and I can leave, and I insisted that if there is anything I should pay for please let me know and I will pay in cash and guess what they did they used my husband card without a permission while am in the room and can process the payment cash and take 100$ for smoke a cigarette in the room without informing us that is not allowed .
