I stay in hotels alot for business and this hotel was very accommodating. Old; however, that leads to it's charm. The location was close to every place we wanted to go. The staff was pleasant too!
There were a mouses in the walls!!!
Our air conditioner was very loud. After the room cooled down we turned it off and opened the window. No restaurant but the cafe next door had good food.
Pleasant, helpful desk staff. Called cabs for us and arranged transportation for early morning airport departure. Not far from attractions. Paramount Studios is just down the street. Our friend stayed in room next to us. Said they heard banging at night (they thought it was the elevator, which was by their room) and women's heels walking in hallway which kept them awake. Next day we noticed that the elevator does not make banging noises and the hallway was carpeted... WE LOVED IT!
thought its closer to Walk of fame, horrible public transport in LA
Hollywood sign view, free parking next to the hotel, helpful stuff,
Wifi drops out Not a good location if you dont have a car
Nice Staff Clean Rooms
No ice or vending machine
Parking was great and they didn't charge extra. The WiFi is very easily accessible. The hotel staff upgraded to give us a room with a view of the Hollywood sign. Only down fall was melrose avenue is a very loud street 24/7 so make sure to bring ear plugs . Had to keep the t.v. on or the fan ( even though it was freezing) bc of the noise level. Every time someone else staying here opened their door you can hear it. I would definitely stay again
the inside is old.
located close to many things around
The hotel is very basic but clean and comfortable place to sleep between exploring Los Angeles
Great location everything in LA is spread out so you need a car, shopping on Melrose and 5 mins walk to the best Italian restaurant outside of Italy
There was no phone in the room. There was a cafe next door but no bar or restaurant in the hotel itself.
There was a fridge and free coffee was provided each day. Close to several shops and a couple of good restaurants.
They didn't have a phone in the room but that's really minor
Love this hotel. Has a nice cafe next to it and the hotel is in a great location. Great value for money. Our room had the view of Hollywood sign. Can't complain. The staff go over and beyond expectations to help you whether it is with directions or making the room more comfortable
I didn't like the fact that when we booked for room online it said no deposit required. But when we got to the hotel we had to pay a $100 deposit requested by Manager.
My favorite was the elevator. Was very old fashioned.
No breakfast service No vending machines A bit Far away
Staff ( Michael in particular!) Lovely cafe nextdoor Got a room with view of hollywood sign
Cafe was closed and vending machine empty but there's a gas station across the street and a cafe down the road
location, friendly staff, comfort of the bed
We had travelled most of the day, and were exhausted when checking in. The guy at the desk could sense that and went out of his way to perk us up and make us laugh. The room was smaller but very comfortable. Great for us as we were only there for one night and just needed a good nights sleep.
no ice machines, no wi-fi, no room phones
old school Hollywood style, close to central Hollywood
Decor and ambience of hotel excellent. Room so comfortable.
wi-fi was weak
the location, the staff, and value
Great staff, really helpful with any queries or issues. We were given a great room on the top floor with a view of the Hollywood sign. Lots of places to eat nearby. A taxi to the Chinese theatre costs about 10-15 dollars. There is plenty of parking at the hotel.
No breakfast in offering but in 1st.floor is lovely cafe. Unfortenately one morning chef was went out and breakfast was not available.
Comfort, cleanless and style of rooms
They are not true
It was a cool concept but it was underwhelming.
