For the price I expected something less appealing, the place was very clean, very new, loved the decor! I will definitely be back! Rooms were small but we didn't need a big room found it to be very comfortable
We got their kinda late and the only staff member that was there had his back to the window/door, we had to knock on the window for him to notice us, thought they should have an after hours buzzer or something.
The location was fantastic. Right in the heart of the events.
The hotel is much smaller than it seems. It's a decent size if you plan on sleeping and nothing else. But they do offer free coffee and donut to cure your hangover the next morning.
The position was good..close to the walk of fame
I arrived and nobody was there to welcome, the hosekeeper open the door and asked me to wait about 20 minutes because the person in charge of the check in went to the bank. When he finally returned he did not even apologized for mu waiting.i have asked for some info for the area and he didn't know anything telling me he was from somewhere else. The rooms are nice but very noisy from the corridor. You can hear cleaning or other people talking.
Close to Trader Joe's and Hollywood/Vine, Close to Flyaway bus to airport, super comfortable bed and fairly big bathroom, very clean
Reception were less than friendly, rooms were stuffy
Good location, close to multiple places. Not too expensive
No free parking. Very annoying receptionist (2 of them are both annoying and impolite). They are not helpful at all and they smoke. Talking to some street guys all the time. Seems like some of them is high or something, just doesn't understand normal English or questions. Very unpleasant to deal with.
The front diced guys they are the best
the fact I couldn't pre pay for the room is flat out stupid. I had booked this for artists coming in to perform and I had to physically go to the hotel and pay. Not Cool. Its 2015 not 1981
Everything in the room was broken. The handle of the bathroom door kept coming off completely and when pointed out to the staff they simply said to just not touch the handle!!! The fridge had broken shelves and was horrible. Over all this experience in the Le Bon was our worst experience ever in a hotel!!!
Location is really good. Wifi is good. Have simple doughnut as breakfast and free coffee.
Small room with only queen bed. Bathroom has no door but only curtain.
the location is great Bed is very comfortable
poor wifi signal in room noise outside during night shower water is not hot enough
internet not working Noisy heater Tiny room No parking
very close to metro, Pantages Theatre, & Palladium; many dining and entertainment options a short walk away; one block to grocery store; fast (but unsecured) 802.11 b/g/n
rooms are fantastically small (smaller than in Hong Kong/Kowloon business hotels); rooms not serviced after approx. 1PM; zero sound-proofing; adjacent to LATE NIGHT hip-hop club (so zero-soundproofing is a MAJOR problem with rooms particularly on the east side & also the south; ONLY hotel where i have ever been phoned 15 minutes prior to check-out time and advised to be certain to check-out on time
Very nicely refurbished to a high standard. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Rooms are small, but not a problem as they represent excellent value for money and are very nicely decorated.
No secure luggage storage facilities (left under stairs and no tickets). But this worked fine and there were no problems.
Convenience to the Pantages and the room was relatively quite despite being in party-central.
Proximity to the theaters. Contemporary look to the place and nicely appointed rooms (though very small). Free light breakfast of coffee and doughnuts.
Didn't like the plastic covered mattress
Wifi is good. Cute and clean enough. Very small rooms. Great location.
There is no parking. Desk attendant just kept saying, "You need to talk to lot next door." I kept trying to ask if there was something we were supposed to say and he stonewalled me. "Talk to them!" He literally acted like it was a rarity for someone in L.A. to have a vehicle and staying overnight (it IS a hotel, after all). I go to public lot as instructed and it is a madhouse!! There must have been a matinee starting at the Pantages, because the parking lot was a zoo. They were moving people in so fast I couldn't talk to anyone if I wanted to. I paid and parked where instructed and it was obvious I was going to hotel, as I had my luggage and went to back. The next day, I checked on my car and it was fine. I stayed two nights and when I came out on Sunday, my car had been towed. The tow place was closed on Sunday and though I had plans out of town, I was forced to stay another night. The bill was $300, plus the cost of the room and food for another day. The parking attendant said the hotel staff was supposed to tell me to tell them I needed overnight parking and it was extra. This was never communicated. Also, there is obviously an adversarial relationship between parking lot and hotel management. Because of tow and extra stay, I paid $450 more for my weekend (room and food and a daily impound charge). And missed my plans for the day. I repeatedly tried to draw out more details from the desk clerk regarding parking when checking in and he was useless. Not serviceable or forthcoming with information at all. As an executive in a service-related business and former travel writer, I was appalled at the lack of assistance. And obviously furious that I got towed when I did what I was told to do and paid for parking. Also, there is no view to outside. Second room window literally was again a cinder block wall. There was no ice machine, no instruction on wifi and no instruction on TV.
I stayed in this hotel this Monday. Small cozy place . Nice small room with everything you need. I loved the fact they had coffee and donuts in the morning - which were delicious and which was nice , considering the price. I will definitely be back. Location was great, right away on Hollywood BLD.
location is relatively good, close to Metro and to air port shatel.
very small and nerrow hotel
Because the refrigerator was situated in the closet space, that made it difficult to utilize the closet itself. Perhaps if the doors were removed or changed somehow, that space could be better accessed.
the staff was keeping talking over the phone while i was having the check-in or even, other enquirers, not helpful enough
In the middle of everything in Hollywood - great restaurants & nightlife.
I had high hopes for this hotel from what I saw in the photos and description. But I came in very late & was assigned a room right next to reception, which is merely a desk against a wall. Despite the new look of the hotel, it suffers from new construction standards that California maintains: (1) walls are so thin you can hear everything from the other side of the door. (2) there's the Argyle Club next door. You don't hear the music but the club goers standing outside more than makes up for it. (3) Young guests come stumbling through the hotel, talking so loudly at midnight and managers being okay with it. (4) I was woken up by the front desk person / manager in the morning not only by his excessive talking but grating shouting tone for 15 minutes. When Booking.com tried calling him about my noise complaint (about his tone) he insists that no one is there. If you're ok w/ noise by all means go for this place.
Clean, and location was not bad. TV was working well.
I could hear every little thing from the next room. From outside, of course. I was totally exhausted due to jet-lag, even though I woke up sometimes because of the noise.
Toilet had a poor flush-had to flush 3times and it still wasn't clear. Size of room was small, we had a large suitcase each and I had small hand luggage-tripping over it. Bed was comfy but really noisey when turning and twisting. Staff kept ringing us"check out now!" And hangs up, at 10.50am. Check out is 11. (A bit rude we thought!) Probably wouldn't stay here again unless I was stuck!
It was close to the Palladium and the shampoo smelled good.
This was the worst hotel experience of my life. At check in, I was given a room on the second floor. I entered the room and found someone was already in that room. Do not leave any valuables in your room because this probably happens often due to the poor quality of the staff. I was then given the only room left in the tiny hotel... the room right outside the front desk. The walls are very thin. I could clearly hear the room next to me snoring and the room above me watching tv. Something they don't mention on the website is that the right side of the hotel shares a wall with..... wait for it... a dance club! It was pretty loud on the left side so I can't imagine what it is like on the right. Two nights in a row, I woke up around 12 am to someone yelling at the front desk trying to get his money back and check out of this nightmare of a hotel. The guy working the desk was very nasty and said there's no way he will get his money back. I heard a lot of noise from the guy at the front desk playing xbox all night. The air conditioner is also very loud. It is near impossible to sleep in this place. ... please take my advice and spend the extra 100 a night for a real hotel. The hotel advertises breakfast. Well, don't count on it because they will only have donuts and only after 8am. Yes, breakfast starts at 8am. I asked if the guy could make some coffee in the breakfast area and he did. He waited with me for the coffee to be done. He then poured himself the first cup and walked back to the desk to go play some more xbox. The guys working here are a complete joke and are a big part of the reason that this hotel is one of the worst in the universe. To anyone who is considering staying here. .. please don't make the mistake I did.
