Once the renovation is complete and staff are properly trained, the hotel might be decent.
Very unsafe: I was on the ground floor and the windows in the room didn't lock. Paper thin walls: you can hear the front desk staff watching television loudly and late into the evening. The room was very unclean. The breakfast was stale and a very poor selection. WAYYYYY overpriced.
The size of the room, and the Television was a really nice_ BIG_!! The location was local.
It was ALL NASTY_ DIRTY_! Maid didn't do her job AT ALL!! I had to buy cleaner, and clean my room myself! I showed the night guy at the desk how bad it was, he offered to sweep. I will NEVER stay or recommend this place! The manager Kathy had nothing but excuses! There was NO LOCK on the back door, anyone from the alley can come in!!! I have pics too!! This was a real nightmare!!
It is located in an ideal position for visiting the Wolk of Fame.
They asked me to pay 2 $ for hour to keep my bags after check out. They were renovating and the whole hotel was full of dust and dirt and piles of old furniture removed from the rooms.
We had one of the New Remodeled Rooms....Nice and Comfortable. Breakfast that come with the price of the room was pretty great.
No phone in room. Creepy Guy standing ot our door and looking through peep-hole dozens of times night and trying to turn thge door knob. Construction Crew Starting Working very very loud @ 7am. Horrible.
The sheets had stains, there were bugs behind bathroom door. They had renovations that woke us up at 7 am. Never again would I stay there.
The location is great. You are in walking distance of almost all of the things we wanted to see.
The cleanliness was awful. There was hair in the sink, floor looked as if it hadn't been vacuumed. I could see a pill someone had dropped. The kitchenette was just another room with a microwave, no fridge. They was an air freshener on the ac unit as if they knew the room was subpar. Paint on the rug in the hall. We had to pay $10 a day to use their parking lot.
All staff except the lady.
Hotel is very unclean and the downstairs toilet was discusting and dirty.
Location is close to Highland Mall
Noisy Dirty Not enough towels Smelled like smoke
Not clean at all, they check us into a dirty room first. Then they took us to a better room as they claim but we got biting by bugs. Sheets and belows are disgusting. Ooh and I forgot to mention that we reserve a room with two beds and they gave us a king bed room. We checked in at 12am left the room at 4am after 4 hours we couldn't stand the smell and the bugs anymore, also we were scared to touch anything in the room or even lay back on the bed. Not safe at all
It was prime real estate in Hollywood. Room was redone and modern. Had crazy lighting which was fun. Great cable. Good for young people.
Under remodelling so there were mattresses and furniture everywhere, in the hallways and out back. Breakfast was very limited. Room had tile which was different. The shower and bathroom floor were dirty.
Even in the renovated rooms, the floor was sticky and the bedding was not trustworthy. The breakfast room under the stairs was dirty and disgusting. The unrenovated room was just disgusting. Kindly we could move into a renovated room. We were very grateful.
Pictures can be misleading
Stylish newly renovated room; a great home base for exploring Hollywood, in a prime location yet perfectly shielded from noise and tourists.
Included breakfast was nothing special.
Everything was horrible, except for the location. We checked in late and just wanted to go to sleep so unfortunately we didn't demand a different room. The room was FILTHY. Nothing worked. The bed, linens and pillows had stains on them. I didn't want to touch anything. The shower rod was falling down. Floor tiles were loose and every surface was dirty. We bought sheets at the local Marshalls and luckily had blankets in the car that we used to sleep on the disgusting bed. Breakfast is a joke. I checked out the next morning as early as possible and told the lady at the front desk about our experience and that the room was the most disgusting, dirty room we've ever stayed in and that I didn't understand how they could rent out the rooms. I was told (in an incredibly condescending manner) that if SHE had been there to check us in we would've gotten one of the "renovated" rooms. And that the room we stayed in was being demolished next week. She made sure to show me one of the new rooms that happened to be open and that she "designed" the room and said "isn't it beautiful?" Also, she mentioned that most people don't care (like the young guys that stay there, huh?) how clean or nice the rooms are. She was rude and dismissive and did not care at all about our concerns about our stay. She said we should definitely come back and to be sure to request one of their renovated rooms. I don't care if this hotel ends up being beautifully renovated, I would never spend my money at a place that doesn't value their guests. Stay at Loews around the corner! It's worth the extra $!
Location was perfect - 2 minute walk to Walk of Fame, Kodak Theatre and Metro. En suite room was excellent value for money.
Breakfast included but no variation in what was offered i.e no healthy option of any kind. Hotel reception looked as if it was going through some building work and left a poor first impression.
I liked the location of the hotel. One block from the Hollywood walk of fame. I liked the bedding and the large countertops. I also liked the AC unit. I loved the lamps and the look of the rooms, nicely decorated, TV was nice and big.
I didn't like walking in and seeing Paint cans, tools and building materials all in the hallways and common areas. No Ice Machine or Coffee pots in room, also no refridgerator. No tub, only a shower. Very squeaky bed in the room.
i was lucky and got a new room, terrific location , walking distance to everything Hollywood
the place under renovation, very messy, but thats ok , still the location way ahead on points and my room is great, ask for 103 or 109 lol
Tv did not work, nails were sticking up from entertainment center. Bed was stained. Blinds were missing sections.
Wifi and location
lobby was very cheap and poor looking. Everything was cracked or messy and messed up rugs were really dirty, walls were dirty, place kinda stinks, bedsheets had stains on them, bed was made very poorly, it needs a lot of work a whole remodel and clean up from the ground up. Definently not a place to walk into
the only element is the location.
the carpet was completely wet. No lights in the bathroom. we complained and the manager told us that it was not her problem. She did not gave us a discount. it is incredible to realize how the service was bad. Please stay far away
Staff was very friendly and helpful. New rooms are actually pretty great. Vending maching with drinks and snacks. Most importantly: excellent location! Just a few steps from chinese theater and hollywood walk of fame. The location makes it worthwile staying here if you are trying to save a bit of money and can guarantee one of the newly renovated rooms.
We were given a double room instead of the deluxe suite we reserved as it wans't available. We were not compensated or reembursed for this mistake either... Outside of our newly renovated room, hotel looked dirty. Hotel seems to be very old and is being renovated so there is construction dust and materials everywhere and all carpeting is stained. Workers renovating room next to ours started banging away at 7am...impossible to sleep like this on weekdays! Airconditioners could use a makeover as they are noisy too. Towels were stained. They charge $10 for parking per night. No restaurant. Continental breakfast simply can't be called that... It is stale mini muffins and bread, with coffee, something that looked-like-but-didnt-taste-like milk and fake juice.
the staff working during the day were friendly, the room was not renovated but it was clean.
the lobby/reception area was very dirty, and smelled like smoke.
It was disgusting.
