the staff working during the day were friendly, the room was not renovated but it was clean.
the lobby/reception area was very dirty, and smelled like smoke.
It was disgusting.
The location is great and while parking was tight there was always a spot. Wifi worked well and free of charge.
They are updating however the end result is not that great. -The reception and main hall look as if it had never been vacuumed. -The rooms noisy and while we had a refurbished room it was still of poor standard compared to its rivals across the road (which I stayed at the year prior for the same price with better service and facilities). - Breakfast avoided at all times. - A/C worked well but was at bed hight and also a little noisy. The web site depicts a well maintained, modern, well located hotel. Sadly the cleanliness, noise levels (stomping elephants) and general feel had us unsettled for our stay. Check out their rivals across road!
I didn't like anything about this place. It's a dirty place all around. I stayed there because I got there at midnight and was very tired and didn't want to bother looking for other places. Had to pay $10 to park my car behind the hotel which looked like an alley. Didn't seem safe at all. Motel 6 it's a 4 star hotel compare to this hotel.
Leaving. This place was horrible and dirty.
Everything. Over priced & dirty. The sheets & towels were stained. Sleeped with our clothes on. Did not shower in the morning because it was to filthy. All we wanted to do is get out. Better off sleeping in your car. Felt like a crack den from the 80's.
The rooms (we had booked two of them for three nights) were far below acceptable standard: run down, dusty and bad-smelling. The windows overlooked directly onto another building, with a distance of about two meters. Their external air conditioning unit was right below us and we could see into others' rooms. Building material was accumulated in big, dirty piles all along the corridor, not to mention cement dust everywhere. we also smelled urine at the end of a corridor. The shutters were bent and broken and the air-conditioning cover was removed, exposing the machinery. There were cobwebs and dead flies in the corners. We took pictures to formally protest to booking.com for the refund of the first night.
I like the beds and furniture. The location is perfect
No enough parking. Parking is not free The air condition has a time. It turns off every 5 minute.
We liked the room it was very nice.
That the hallways smelled like weed. The hotel didn't match with the rooms (to very different). I also never received the down payment back. To expensive for what we got and duality.
Location is great, right in Hollywood, basically next to the walk of fame.
Linnens were torn and had stains One of our windows had no curtain whatsoever (so we woke up as the sun rose...) Our room was very old and didn't look like the pictures at all!! Old furniture, old and battered AC, old and dirty/rusty bathroom. All in all if you need a place to spent 1 or 2 nights you'll be fine (I'm not looking at the price though), but don't expect any basic luxury or decency. I think this establishment is way over-priced!!!
Location Excellent staff
Front desk staff was nice
The room was filthy...boogers on the wall in the bathroom...broken floor tiles...peeling paint...MOLD IN THE SHOWER AND AROUND THE BATHROOM SINK.
Everything it was dirty dusty under construct.
Bathroom area was dirty
There were cock roaches in the room and in the lobby area. I requested a refund of my money and was told by the desk clerk he could not authorize a refund. I chose not to stay and drive me and my family back to San Diego at 1 am after visiting universal studios. I was assured by the owner the charges would be credited back to my credit card. I am still waiting for my refund of 214.00. I have the owners cell phone number. I have made several attempts to call him but he is now ignoring my calls. His name is Rueben. I will say the desk clerk Andrew was polite a and understanding and tried to help as much as he could. It was only his 2nd day on the job so he probably had no idea if the caliber of employer he was working for.
Near everywhere in hollywood
Air conditioner is noisy
There was a female at reception desk, Anne, that was very pleasant while one blonde male was very lazy and
Cleanliness was very bad, The carpet in a hallways, downstairs and upstairs was practically black from uncleanliness. That carped had a bad smell. The dinning area was uncleansed and trash box full with bugs, I don't know how I ate there once, while booked for 4 days!!!! The breakfast was very poor and they serve stale food. Regarding the room, the linen were dirty. In overall they do not take care for cleanliness.
The hotel is undergoing renovations and is a royal mess! Make sure that when you book you demand a newly renovated room. Those are very nice and very comfortable.
There is a mess everywhere you look in this hotel due to renovations. I'm really surprised they are staying open while renovating. The old rooms (which I had before I requested a upgrade) are aweful! Imagine the worst place you ever stayed and multiply it by 10! I had to put a tshirt over the pillow because it was so dirty and smelly. The towels in the bath were old and stained like the pillow cases and sheets. On the flip side, the newly renovated rooms are really nice. I think that when the renovations are complete, it will be a great little hotel.
Best part is that the hotel is very centrally located and steps away from Hollywood Blvd.nice and safe location...Rubin was very courteous and a real gentlemen. Our stay was comfortable.
Average Breakfast, not gr8
The beds were comfy
Half finished room. No microwave no hanging space no iron and everything was dirty. The breakfast was ordinary. The entrance was dirty and their was no attempt to clean the public areas. The kitchen was filthy.
So dingy, scary looking place, worn out hotel. Dirty.free parking turns out to be $10/night.
Scary holes in the walls no parking unhelpful staff workers rude and prevented guests from leaving parking lot dirty rooms dirty bed sheets
I liked how it was a walking distance from everything
I didn't like that it had so little parking
Location was good.
First, you should never list this "hotel" for someone to stay. It is a total disaster! It is dirty, roach infested, poorly staffed and furnished!!...and I believe it contains asbestos!! A Motel 6 would be a better stay than this place. Horrible stay. I tried to find another hotel but everything was booked!! I will tell others about this diaster!!! Please take it off of your list of hotels to stay!!! The worst experience I ever had in MY LIFE.
