Helpful information provided. Felt very comfortable. loved visiting with the other guests
Charlotte and John joined us for breakfast and made us very comfortable. Their home has been ideally set up for the B&B. We only stayed one night but would have stayed longer for sure!
Shower is difficult to figure out the first time, even with instructions provided...perhaps a little diagram with an image of the faucet and where to pull to engage the shower mechanism would help!
Very pleasant little B & B in Hilo, Hawaii. Very quiet except for the evening concert of frogs and birds all croaking and singing until they fall asleep! Wonderful balcony/porch with lots of comfortable chairs and seats to enjoy the tropical ambience!
We would really have expected more than coffee and toast or muffin for breakfast, given the price.
John and Charlotte couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, and gave excellent advice on eating etc.
This B&B is located in a very quiet neighborhood away from the bustle of the city. John and Charlotte Holmes were the perfect host and hostess and wonderful travel guides as they suggested places to visit in our limited stay. We'd love to visit again.
The furniture which has good taste, the owner is very very kind. I really want to stay at the guesthouse again !!
Wonderful hosts, great conversations over breakfast and Kona coffee. The hosts are loaded with good advice for activities.
A little out of town but not that far to cause a problem, airport 15 mins away. Great hosts, very relaxing and a great place to chill
Convenient to Hilo attractions; very helpful local info from hosts; only two rooms, so breakfast shared with one other couple; lounge and lanai for guest use
It's very hard to find this place and everything is a bit too old.
The owners are very kind and we enjoyed our stay.
John and Charlotte were excellent hosts. They made me feel at home and are very knowledgable about the area.
Best part were the host and hostess, who made every effort to share thier home and experiences living in Hawaii with us. They were really great!
Charlotte and John are very nice and friendly! They have a big heart. We wish we could stay a few days more. It's everthing there: Private bathroom, shared kitchen, free WLAN, a huge lanai with beautiful view.
The whole stay was great, but we especially enjoyed the good shower and the breakfast with warm muffins and fresh fruit salad. But the whole stay was great! In addition, the hosts are extremely kind and made us feel like we were at home!
wonderful friendly helpful people extreme attention to detail great beds would go again in a heart beat
The owners do everything to make you feel at home, they are very warm and welcoming. The room has a private bathroom and enough space to put your luggage away. You can sit and relax on the lanai, with a view to the ocean. They serve a nice breakfast, there is a fridge you can use and you can borrow all kinds of coolers etc.
We loved meeting and spending a little time with John and Charlotte, our hosts. This is just the sort of place we would come back to, comfortable, welcoming, and unpretentious. I won't be at all surprised if our younger daughter sends a follow-up email at some point.
John & Charlotte were great. Our time was limited, but because they had suggestions pre-typed out we were able to fit in Rainbow Falls! Also, upon leaving we left a Memory Foam pillow, Charlotte called and volunteered to drive to the airport to try to catch us before our flight!
It was Really amazing! Very beautiful You Really feel like beeing @ Home
Tree frogs are a problem in Hilo and very loud all night; this takes some getting used to--but they're all over the Big Island. (sound like chirping birds)
Beautiful and convenient location; the Holmes do everything they can to make you comfortable and to provide information. A very special couple.
The mattresses were a bit dated. Not very comfortable. Breakfast were disappointing, fruits from cans, cereals were dampened. Wifi was not very stable.
We rented the room with two beds, bathroom was big and had two basins.
We liked everything!!!!
We liked the location. It was up the hill a little ways from the town, yet easy to access the main attractions of Hilo. John and Charlotte are a lovely couple and it was a real pleasure to know them. I would definitely go back. We shared some great conversations with John and Charlotte. They are a wealth of information.
No TV in rooms, but for us no issue. Nothing to complain!
Great hospitality, Charlotte and John are so friendly and welcoming owners, the terrace was a good place to sit and relax while listening to the birds...the 19 year old cat was very cude and faithful, breakfast with selfmade muffins and whole wheat bread was very tasty. We would really recommend this place!
The friendly and personable service from the owners, Charlotte and John
Very friendly welcoming and helpful owners
