I liked the view, the eagle in the tree and the peace. Also the access to the beach by way of the stairs. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast good. It was quiet and clean. We were welcomed nicely and felt at home.

Was clean with a comfy bed. The property had beautiful view of the Homer spit and across the bay.

Bathroom was small had to step in the shower to open or close the door to toilet and shower.

They made us feel like family after a long grueling day of traveling, so gracious and even offered to try and accommodate a stranded teen who we were chaperoning. Susan's banana bread was the best!

the bed was so comfortable. Fresh baked goods, yogurt, juice and Keurig were a nice light breakfast. An eagle that we nicknamed Homer stationed himself in a tree outside our unit. we would come here again in a minute. it's off "the Spit" in Homer, so it's relaxing and very quiet.

it was a bit of a challenge to find.

The ambiance of our room was just fantastic! Much attention to detail!

There was a scented air freshener that we had to put outside because it was quite strong.

Location overlooking the beach was great. Would not have wanted to stay on the spit

Breakfast was less than average. Same fresh fruit was served every day. If you didn't like bananas you were out of luck. The breads (pumpkin and banana) were good but coffee cake was marginal. All breakfast items very carb laden.

The staff was nice and helped us get a new hotel room.

We thought we were staying in the beach house that was on the wedsite photo, instead we were in the double wide trailer behind it. We were scheduled to stay two nights and only could handle one.

Room was very nice, good size and well appointed. Perfectly clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. Beautiful location and view. Owners were nice. I loved photographing the eagles only steps from the back yard. Great place!! I would definitely go back!

wifi was sketchy. Bathroom was small. Shutting the door required stepping into the shower. The top of the shower was low and I bumped my head a couple of times. These were small issues and would not influence my desire to return.

Wow, what a position. The cottage was right above the beach with amazing views across the water, seals, whale and bald eagles thrown in for free! Excellent facilities, barbecue available, breakfast goodies supplied. A hint - if you want to go fishing when in Homer book ahead, there were no spaces any of the 3 days we were there.

    Loved it all.

    - Note: The owners appear to be planning to sell the property (July 14). I hope future owners can continue to provide such a good experience. - This is a great property. The room was nice, with a quirky decor. - The view from the garden was outstanding. - A nice complimentary breakfast snack was provided, but note that this is not a B&B in the traditional sense. But overall, our stay was great.

    - WiFi did not work for much of our stay, with limited apology. - there was no housekeeper during our stay. If you arrive on a Sunday or holiday, the housekeeper is not there. We found this quite odd - either you provide a housekeeping service, or you don't! - we had to sign a very strict sounding liability waiver on checkin, and there were lots of signs everywhere with dire warnings about not having pets, coolers, candles, adjusting heater etc. We felt this was quite nannying, and could have been communicated in a more friendly way.

The beautiful view of the beach and the bay. Watching the eagles in the tree in the backyard.

Comfortable, but plain accomodations Did not serve a hot breakfast, provided muffins or bread, bananas and yogurt in our room each day. We actually liked not having to have breakfast served at a certain time, but felt that people should know it's not a conventional B&B.

The location is fantastic and exceeded my very picky criteria. The owners are very nice. The decor of the room was nicely done and it was very clean. The outside grounds were very pleasant. The whole area is nice and quiet and right on the ocean.

Our room was pretty cramped with no comfortable furniture except the bed. The bathroom does not have a vent.

    Nicely designed.. Clean and quiet.

Very overpriced. Small room. Unless weather is nice so you can use porch and the yard the room is not worth the price. Might be worth $75 - $125 but not $175 - $200. Many others at the price that are better in the area. Would not recommend.

We reserved the cabin located above the beach in Homer. It was incredibly comfortable with a terrific view of the inlet and Homer Spit. This was one of our all-time favorite place to stay and sleep in all of Alaska.
