Cannot think of one thing we would change.
My husband and I stayed with Laurie for the first time at the end of July. Laurie had home baked goodies and milk waiting for us when we arrived. She offered a lot of information on Homer, where to go, what to see, several good places to eat, etc. The view from this B&B is amazing! Laurie has a beautiful couple of acres that was very quiet and calming. There is a shared patio facing the Spit but we did not use it. We had just missed a moose and her baby when we arrived! We stayed in the bottom cabin and while there was someone staying above us, we very rarely heard them through the ceiling. The cabin is tastefully decorated, very clean, and had everything we needed plus more for our stay. We only stayed one night but wished we had stayed longer. We will most definitely return (probably in November) and stay here again.
A nice, large, two room apartment with a nice view of Homer (albeit through some odd windows and trees). We had nice, quiet neighbors downstairs, so it was a restful place to sleep. I also enjoyed the continental breakfast items that were provided--baked goods, cold cereal, milk, and oatmeal.
No Wifi, even though the information from Booking.com says they have it. Would have liked a larger bed.
Great cabin. looking forward to getting back there next season
Perfect peaceful location and beautiful grounds. We used the outdoor deck & grill and that was perfect for easy meals for the family.
The Eagle's Nest was very clean and everything was in good shape. If you don't care about having a view, it might suit you.
We were disappointed in the lack of view from the Eagle's Nest (due to obstructing trees on the property as well as the small windows facing the water). "Breakfast" was two muffins sitting on the table when we arrived (we apparently were supposed to save them for the next morning), a quart of milk in the refrigerator, and dry cereal in the cupboard. We spent a week driving around the Kenai Peninsula and this was the most expensive room we stayed in - we were expecting more.
