Our hosts went beyond the norm. I let them know in advance that my husband keeps a gluten free diet. She had excellent gluten free granola for him and she even gave us the rest to take home. Many thanks!
The tour of the winery, Joe the owner was very pleasant and informative of every detail of growing the different types of grapes.
Nothing, great experience
Beautiful Boutique Vineyard property , cool ocean breezes allowed the best sleep and great wines !! Owners Joe and Melinda treated us like family , joe taught me more about winemaking than my past 4 trips to Napa !! Stay here ,, Trust me you will love it !!
Hosts were super nice people
We had a fantastic stay at the Honey Oak House. The owner/hosts Joe and Melinda were wonderful. We have stayed at B&B's all over Europe and rarely find a similar level of hospitality here in the USA but we found it here at Honey Oak House. I highly recommend taking Joe up on his offer for a vineyard tour. We can't wait to return.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Honey Oak House for his birthday weekend. It was an even better experience than I anticipated when I booked it. What really made it was the balcony and the view. We loved sitting out on the balcony having a glass of wine or cup of coffee looking out at the vineyard, as well as at the neighbor's farm next door ... complete with cows moo'ing and goats baa'ing!
A really nice place; kind and helpful hosts, a cosy but spacious room & wonderful surroundings. If you like, there's a wine tasting of the various Laraneta wines produced from the vineyard, and an entertaining and informative tour of the vineyard. Joe & Melinda have various excellent restaurant suggestions to fit your needs. The breakfast included various pastries, fresh fruit, good coffee, etc. And we got a bag of fresh homegrown fruit when we left. If you visit the vicinity of Paso Robles, do stay here!
The bed and breakfast was intimate, friendly, and comfortable the way a bed and breakfast should be. The owners were hospitable and attentive. They even sat and ate with us.
Would have liked a olive oil tasting.
It was a beautiful location. Friendly hosts.
It was an extremely hot day. Would have liked a fan in the room.
Charming house. Lovely location with incredible views. Good facilities in room, close to town, friendly hosts, homely charm.
I recently stayed here with a friend and it was just what we were looking for - a quiet place out of town. The room was comfortable and the hosts were very welcoming. We really enjoyed tasting their wine and olive oil and were glad Joe was willing to give us a tour of the property. I'm used to having a homemade meal at a B&B and this didn't include that but the breakfast selection was diverse and we certainly didn't leave hungry. I would definitely stay here again!
Lovely setting, very comfortable accommodations, helpfulness of owners,
We were made to feel very much at home. All our needs were quickly met. We enjoyed wine-tasting with Melinda. Wine making and maintaining a bed and breakfast is obviously something Joe and Melinda are passionate about.
The fact that we couldn't stay a little longer!
Very nice room with separate entrance.
Did not sleep well as I kept waking to the cookoo clock noises.
Lovely to be welcomed by the owners and offered wine from the vineyard on arrival. Also enjoyed being shown around the vineyard by Joe and finding out more about their wine making. Great breakfast.
The hosts were very friendly and helpful about the local area. Our room was very comfortable and clean with lots of thoughtful touches. The location was lovely.
That we hadn't booked to stay longer!
You want to see wine and be on a vineyard this is hands down the best place to do it. Family run and they are fantastic!
Loved it! Very friendly couple, lovely house and very pleasant atmosphere.
The owners, wine, room we stayed in, view and the balcony we relaxed on.
They had one palm tree that just didn't fit in. I know it's a family heirloom, but maybe it can be moved to the back. :)
