Good location. Decent value for the money.

They could not provide parking for their guests. They made no amends for being unable to provide parking and seemed rather nonchalant at this fact. The location gets very loud at night as it is next to an apartment building. The breakfast wasn't very good. And the coffee was atrocious.

Would have liked a few more options for the continental breakfast~fruit, tea variety. Grateful, however, that it was included!

Location - Situated behind Hyatt Beach Resort and about 200m away from the shoreline is the plus point. But there is where it ends.

Cleanliness - Or the lacked of it. The building was built in 1969 and recently(<3yrs) refurbished as a boutique hotel. The white theme you see on the webpage is probably taken when it was new. Current reality is that the orange carpet is brownish with stains(reads germs), curtain is dusty and dirty, floor tiles likewise. In short, very dirty. Parking - Stated as available on website without need for reservation BUT the reality differs. Upon arrival, was told it is fully booked throughout my stay and go park somewhere else nearby. And I found out later it is undergoing some minor renovation ...but hey, I would appreciate some honesty and update on their website to assist in my decision making when booking a hotel. Additional Charges - You would have read by now the US$10 extra per day is ridiculous, as really i do not need any of the services. Ambient Lighting & Noise - If you are a light sleeper, this hotel is not for you. The curtails allows plenty of light to slip through so daylight is perpetual in the room. No way to darken it. Late check-in @ 1600hrs - Check-In at most hotels are from 1200-1400. 1600hrs is way too late. I arrived at 0800hrs(having travelled 27hrs) and despite writing in early for an early check in to no avail.

Only for one accommodation three times were written off from the card and I wait for a refund

The extra Amenities charges. The jack hammers in the morning. The noise and ambient light in the room that could not be abated.

Advertised free wifi, dvd rental. Free to use but charged $10 'fee' to cover 'free' wifi and dvd rental? The 'free' wifi was super slow and unreliable. 4Pm check in 10am check out. Booked double room given twin. Check in staff were rude. Don't bother with the breakfast. Old hotel shabbily renovated to become 'boutique'.

Good location

Absolutely no for this hotel. Train station is calmer than the hotels rooms. The hotel stuff gave us ear plugs for the noise from the street, since the room has poor windows. Extremely bad value for your money. Avoid this hotel

I liked the price, the staff, and the facilities took care of my needs and the location was great. It was nice to have Wifi, tv, dvd rental, a balcony, and parking.

Overall I thought it was great. But several (two) of the outlets did not work in my room, the curtains were very dirty on the bottom (picky I know), and Wifi was spotty. And the continental breakfast was very weak. There was nothing but bread products. Some fruit might have been nice. These are very minor though. It would not deter me from staying there again.

Location

Did not honour my booking, I had reserved a twin bed room, instead was given a queen bed room with a horribly uncomfortable sofa bed. The breakfast given was awful, no fruit, no yogurt, only cereal and bread which for someone like myself which can't eat gluten was inedible. I complained to the hotel regarding the discontent with the room but they did not give me any solutions or discounts, only waived the $10 amenity fee for the breakfast we did not eat. The hotel is located in a very noisy part of town with trucks and buses coming at all hours of the night. So don't stay there if you want a good night sleep. For the amount of money I ended up paying $317.96USD for 2 people for two nights I wish I had stayed elsewhere.

Excellent location. Very budget friendly. No frills. Great value for the money.

It is pretty cheap compare to other hotels near by. However, the room is small but it fits for 2 people. It has a good facilities where you can borrow dvd and ps3 games and also beach equipments.

Staff was nice, especially Phyllis.

The lock on the door didn't work. Hardware was broken and the nails would not stay into the stripped wood. There was no upper dead bolt either. The staff tried to fix it but the entire wooden molding needed to be replaced. They had no other rooms available and said I could not be reimbursed the first night but would talk to the manager about getting second night reimbursed. It was President's Day weekend and Honolulu hotels were booked so I had no choice other than to spend the night. I was offered a door wedge as my "security system" (too short to stop the door actually once door was off the metal door jam) and was told they would have the night security man walk by my rooom often. (Oh course, then I'm wondering how honest the night security man was?) I am a woman, traveling alone and did not feel safe. I did find other accomodations the second night and they did reimburse me my pre-paid second night. Additionally, my bathroom was not real clean...hair on the floor and heavy dust on the light fixtures. A couple other things you should be aware of, the hotel offers parking but when I arrived they said they only offer "limited parking", which was taken so I had to park a couple blocks away. They also charge $10 incedental fee for "free" continental breakfast and one dvd rental. My room was next to the elevator and the nieghbors have a dog that barks very often so earplugs are a must. Whille my room could potentially be the exception, I will definately not stay here again.

1) Being put in a tiny room first after being told that there was nothing else available. After complaining we were put into a larger room. Why do people lie? 2) nowhere to hang up a towel in bathroom. Anywhere! Very difficult to get in and out of this bathroom. I wonder how a handicapped person could possibly handle it. 3) there are no screens on ANY of the windows(including the bathroom) so impossible to allow in fresh air without flies and Mosquitos coming in. 4) the deafening sound. The miserable unending shrieking sound of Tour Buses, cars and people all day and might was the shits. I had one of the worst nights sleep of my life. I tried plugging my ears and hoping it would stop.....it didn't. I live in Kailua and found this place through booking.com. I would never stay here again. I will warn people to never stay here. Very dissatisfied !

Staff is very friendly. I lost my room key. They give me an other without penaulty. Hotel is very closly to beach (second line) and so convenient to beach and surfing. I hope to came back in future.

I was under the impression I was staying at a cute boutique hotel, but I was very wrong! My room on the 2nd floor was just above the street and the noise of passing traffic was unbearable. The 2 windows in my room were made of frosted glass slats that you could not see out of....I Felt like I was in a prison cell! I changed hotels after one night. They charge hotel prices for hostel conditions.....and whats with the daily amenity charge.....what amenities??

The location was good. One block from Waikiki Beach

The hotel was old, outdated and dingy. It was next to a hostel and basically looked and felt like a hostel. The rooms were old, sticky, and dingy. The only thing in the room that was ok was the set of Ikea furniture and the flat screen TV. The bathroom was terrible, smelled like urine, was dimly lit, rusty fixtures, dirty shower and sink. This hotel was nothing like what it's pictures boasted. I would not recommend this unless you like hostels for hotel prices.

Itis all about location at affordable rates. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Noise. Waikiki is busy and noisey...cannot escape it...rooms streetside get loud early...request rooms further back from street and it becomes tolerable.

Close to beach! Comfortable bed.Cheaper than more upscale alternatives in the area.

Behind the loading zone for the Hyatt, lot's of early morning street noise. Still a lot of money for a cement room.

Liked the free dvd coupon and continental breakfast.

Construction noise in the hotel started at 7am and went on for two hours. I did not receive any sort of discount for this disturbance, and I had wanted to sleep in.

Location is great. 1 minute from Waikiki Beach, even though we didn't go there often because it was crowded and basically it's swimming for little kids. You can find better places for swimming. It's budget friendly and they treated us pretty ok. We hadn't pay amenity fees after unfortunate insect incident in our room.

Room was to spartan with no chairs (have to use ones from balcony), floor should be cleaned regularly (I know it's beach location and you can therefore expect some sand) but it seemed that it wasn't cleaned for many days. On 2nd night we found a cockroach in our bed. Photos looks much better than reality but this is often problem.

-Our room 807 was next to noisy neighbours in 806, who were smoking and shouting on balcony all night, and it took 3 complaints at10.30 Pm, 11.15pm and 1.00am pm before the matter was attended to -no coffee/tea making facility as advertised
