Fun people and free bannanas
The room was way to hot. We opened the window, but it was always still too hot, and the bed was too short for me and saggy. Also, the locker was inadequate for me this time. Might be okay, but not for this trip.
The location, friendly staff, breakfast and lounge area while we had to wait for plan.
We think my husband got bitten by bedbugs..a real worry for you
cool staff, great breakfast, cool tours, nice kitchen I liked the shape of my room (a U), which seems a bit odd, but i was at the end of the room so it was almost like having a private bedroom
no nights out (pub crawls or anything), slowest elevator ever
Cleaned, Cool, Organized.
The bed could be better.
-It is cheap -Location -Breakfast
Great vegetarian food in the cafe! Also the free central park tour with Bob was very good!
The second night I was there, I could hear loud banging upstairs the whole night... No one in the dorm room could sleep well.
Nice staff. Big room. Good kitchen although sometimes too crowded.
Basic breakfast, a bit far from subway station and supermarket.
Good atmosphere, breakfast, more or less nearby the main attractions, wifi works in every places, well prepared staff.
Drink beer isn't permitted any time in any place. The lift us old and very slow.
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, clean place, nice atmosphere.
the quality was as expected of an HI hostel - clean and comfortable.
the staff didn't seem that much into recycling. i tried to give my map of the area back to them to reuse for the next guest since it was in good condition but was told that they are not my garbage disposal and to find somewhere to throw it out myself. the attitude was disappointing, especially since the hostel tries to encourage hostellers to buy local, minimise impact etc.
John in the breakfast room was so happy every morning, it was infectious! Showers/toilets seemed to be cleaned daily. Organised activities for Halloween.
Good morning in other language.
Some plugs were not working. Wi fi too slow some times. No health option no the breakfast.
1.Hostel tours - I think it is a great way to explore the city as well as meet some interesting folks. 2.Good breakfast and round the clock coffee. Clean and well equipped kitchen. 2.Clean rooms and bathrooms. 4.Friendly and helpful staff.
The staff who greets everybody "Say good morning with you language" during breakfast. The bed has individual lamp
The bedroom has small space to move around. You just need to sleep there, no other activities.
Tax and breakfast included. Great location. Quiet accommodation. Friendly staff
Very well located, price is ok, the beds are fine and clean, and they offer a wide range of activities. Breakfast was good, Wi-Fi worked
The elevator is slow, the air conditioning was noisy, the light in the shower didn't work and the water was not very hot.
Less than 10 mins walk from subway, 15 mins to White House Staff generally helpful Nice atmosphere, free tours of the city Rooms basic but clean
First time staying in a dorm room, found it difficult sleeping
The kitchen is big enough, staff are nice, good location, clean bed and bathrooms
Nice staff and facility. Location is not bad. It may takes 15mins from union station by Circulator(red line) But circulator's frequency is 20-30mins.(noted every 10mins) But, If I visit again, I will stay again.
Most of the things were excellent: staff, environment, cleanliness, location and comfort!
I just wish you guys didn't charge for things like $4 for locker and $4 for keeping luggage in basement. It gives the vibes of a money making Hotel, which is the opposite of the carefree vibes that a hostel should give. The other hostels I've stayed in usually take a small deposit for the locker's lock and key which is refunded at check out. As for bags, you can put them anywhere for free and pick em up whenever you are ready to leave, at traveller's own risk of course. But you see, there's no "fees" business in hostels. I've you've paid for the room, a person should feel that he is good to go. Also there shouldn't be a daily $3 tax for HI non-members. So that's an extra which people are not mentally prepared to pay for before booking the room. Instead of extra tax for non members, I think you should offer special rates to members, that's okay. But all these last minute fees and taxes can be annoying for the traveller.
Really cheap. Near to National Mall and other attractions. Great free activities. Free good breakfast.
Air conditioner a little bit noisy. Showers could be better.
