Breakfast, free WiFi, location!, staff.. Amazing value for money. Couldn't believe we were able to find so cheap accommodation in the heart of NY. Was expecting much, much worse, but the hotel is in good condition (in general).
room was a bit cold, but we are used to overheat our rooms back home, so I guess it's all right
Location was good
breakfast was basic
A basic, clean room. Good value for a little over 100 euro per night. Hairdryer and safe in room.
Walls are thin, so hope for neigbours that are not loud.
Arrived in the middle of the historic Blizzard ... Staff was friendly, and showed us to our nice and WARM room. Breakfast as expected.
Reserved a room when the hotel was part of Comfort Inn. Was choosen because they had smoking rooms. When we arrived, Hotel was taken over by Hotel 35. Smoking no longer allowed. That's the only negative thing I could think of :)
Location is very good.
Rooms are too small, even for NY standards, and dated. Staff is not welcoming. Breakfast is terrible. In the end, there are better options for the same price in this city.
Friendly and helpful staff Great view of the Empire State Building from bedroom window, though I imagine most rooms don't have this.
Busy at breakfast if you went at 8 am, as this was when the school parties all descended; very busy and no where to sit. Easily rectified by turning up earlier though, so only a problem on the first morning.
Excellent location, friendly helpful staff
No tea/coffee making facilities in rooms
Location and small breakfast
Room is too noisy. You can hear everything from street and from other rooms on the same floor. What is more, the heating unit makes a strange noise that is hard to get used to it. If you wanna save some money stay there. If not, go to another place.
Right in the heart of Manhatten and near to everything. A very comfortable hotel with a great bar attached.
The lifts were slow, but thats about all!
Friendly staff,nice and clean
Could maybe do with extra lifts, only 2 and renovation on going at the time of our stay, which the workman also needed to use the same lifts. Would also benefit from tea/coffee facility in rooms
Loved the location, the staff was helpful and the room was clean. My husband and I was very thankful that the staff was able to hail a cab for us. Never done that before and was nervous that we would not get one because there was an ice storm and most of the cab drivers stayed home.
The staff were very helpful especially Matt who always went out his way to do anything to make your stay better and I even had cold one day and was going to get me cold remedies which was so kind .
Thought the free wifi was pretty slow having stayed here previously under the comfort inn brand and Internet was a lot better
Location, size of the room, nice staff
Temprature of shower changes all the time, the bed was too soft for me, I found a used cigarette under the bed, toilet doesn't flush right.
Great value, as we booked a room approx 10 months before our holiday. Excellent location for Times Square and other majors that you need to see e.g Madison Square Garden. Taxis are EVERYWHERE so you are never short of a ride somewhere. Room-wise we only cared about a good shower and a good sleep. Both were ok.
Rubbish trucks were cleaning up the streets every night so the noise was slightly annoying, but we got used to it after a night or 2.
The breakfast is very good. There are many seats available and many different options to eat.
Great hotel right by a central subway station. Nice comfortable sized room with great wifi. Free breakfast included which was more than adequate although not much choice. Very nice staff who were happy to keep our bags in a side room after check out.
Bed was rock hard and very uncomfortable
Very close to attractions with easy access to Penn Station to and from the airport. Great location! Staff were very helpful and friendly. Free access to a computer and printer for online check in. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very nice!
Room was quite cold even with extra blankets. Room was dark and old fashioned.
Location Brendans Bar & Grill Breakfast
Heating was turned off accidentally by someone and we didn't realise why it was so cold for 2 days before we asked for it to be checked out. An engineer was sent up and it was fixed immediately.
Didn't like that they wanted to charge me 25 dollars for a fold out bed when I already paid 250 dollars for the night
Excellent location. Just off Broadway. 10 min walk to Times Square, 2 min walk to Empire State and Maceys. Very friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again :)
Breakfast was a little crowded but it's free so can't complain.
Location was great, close to shopping and 34 / 35 street subway stops, not far from Time Square - 2 subway stops
Lift is small and slow, can be a problem if you have a lot of bags. Breakfast got progressively limited during our stay.
The location was excellent, within walking distance of great shopping, theatres, Time Square, the Empire State and loads of places to eat. The Subway was just at the end of the block making getting around the rest of NY easy (once you work out the subway system!). The staff were awesome, always very helpful to us 1st time vistors to NY. Breakfast was great and our room was very comfortable. My one word of advice if you decide to stay here is avoid the rooms at the front of the hotel as the street noise is very loud and goes all night. To the hotels credit, when I mentioned this they offered us another quieter room
The location is just great! Empire state building, metro station, Macy's - 3 minutes walk. The room is not big but enough for two. The breakfast is basic: omlette, eggs, toasts, bagels, coffee/juice/tea. Overall this is a right choice if you prefer value for money.
The heating is hardly regulated. In one of the rooms there were a lot of hairs in the bathroom. But to be fair in the next one the bathroom was clean.
A new favorite in the Big Apple. Staff was polite.
