Fabulous neighbourhood, and just a great comfy little hotel. You feel much more connected to the neighbourhood staying here than you would staying a large property. I just love this place and fully intend to return!
It was a great inn! The Ballard Farmer's Market was right out front and that was also a lot of fun. The staff made sure we knew not to park on the street to avoid a hassle in the morning due to the market which was very helpful. It's centrally located in Ballard, everything was right in walking distance!
The cost of the hotel was great compared to Hotel Ballard. It is a very interesting hotel with 16 rooms and shared bathrooms. The bathrooms are in the hallways of each floor. This was an interesting aspect of the hotel. We didn't have to wait for facilities when we needed them so the shared bathrooms didn't bother us. Overall it was a great hotel.
The place looks amazing! It's in a pretty cool area- park the car & explore. Staff were super friendly and accommodating.
A couple of nearby businesses were doing full on renovations - late at night! Does Seattle have no by laws regarding noise at night? This wasn't the hotel's fault but was quite annoying when you're trying to sleep
The location was really awesome, and the nearby gym had really fun facilities. An unusual hotel experience.
The room was really spare and felt really minimal. The TV didn't work.
They did a great job renovating whats left of this historic building, very comfortable and a great value. Yes the rooms share bathrooms BUT that’s how the building was designed over 100 years ago so enjoy the nostalgia, I was there three nights and never had a problem sharing.
The coffee bar (good Coffee) was great in the morning but was surprisingly understocked with the variety of sweetener and creamers. Having a little more variety goes a long way with the most important drink of the day and will leave the guest with a pampered feeling for pennies on the dollar. Apples on the coffee bar were sour and soft, would recommend red apples and more attention to quality.
The location was the best. Ballard is such a cute community and had it not been for our stay we would not have come upon it. The decor of the hotel was very nice also.
The only things were the heater in our room did not work and there was no seal on the windows so we could hear everything even the exercise class across the street at 5-6am.
Very comfortable bed, pillows. Bathrooms consistently clean over 2days. Thank you for the early a.m. cafe, tea....GREAT gym option.
It was in the right place. Centrally located in old town Ballard was perfect for our planned weekend event. Also there was a mix up in our reservation, but they found a way to accommodate us and compared our parking.
We were on the street level and the bars closed we had a lot of company right outside the window. They did provide earplugs, just wished they had done a better job at recommending we use them!
This was a great location to enjoy Ballard. Walking distance to great restaurants, shops and nightlife. Very clean throughout and not a problem to share a bathroom as we didn't see another guest. The morning coffee was great.
Our only complaint was that the room was a little too warm for us.
Nice Decor: Very Clean: Silent room heater: Able to control heater temperature: Free access to the Olympic Athletic Club was a big factor in choosing to stay there: Cheerful/helpful Staff Most mechanical amenities seem to be well maintained.
The bed could be a good deal softer. The vent fan in bathroom directly across from room (#207) is on its last leg and was quite noisy. Would be nice to have some low light in the room.
The in was just lovely, and very comfortable, with a friendly and very helpful staff. There was nothing I could find fault with at all, and the health club membership was much appreciated as well. The shared bath was about 10 feet out our door and sparkling clean at all times. I think this was a gem to find and definitely would stay there again. It is small and quiet, which is perfect for our age group, but a younger, noisier crowd would maybe not appreciate it as much as we did.
a private bath, but it was available at an increased cost which we declined. And I wish there would have been evan a small dresser in the room, as we were there 4 nights. But compared with how nice everything was, and sparkling clean, these were minor points.
The staff was very nice and the location was great. It has a nice lobby to sit in and talk with friends.
The rooms are small.
Wonderful service. Clean and quiet. Very comfortable, great location for experiencing all Ballard has to offer.
Very nice facility just a bit overpriced for not having own bathroom.
Location is fantastic; steps away from the shops and restaurants of Ballard. Staff very friendly. Comfy beds and sheets. Nice coffee and tea set out in the morning.
We paid $99 for a tiny 'full sized' room - I wouldn't pay a penny more. Bed was short, a double, and pushed up against the wall, which made it very awkward. Not enough shared bathrooms for the number of rooms, and they were of average cleanliness. Not sure I would stay again.
Location in old ballard could not be better.
Staff (Brandon) Location, location, location Parking Comfy pillows, bedding and mattress Chandeliers
Shared bathroom idea - but it turned out to be not that big of a deal.
Location in heart of Ballard is wonderful. Knew this space before renovations as love what they've done to update it, and furnish the rooms. Bed was extremely comfortable. Very clean. Minimal, but all essentials covered. Staff was great! Feels like you could be in a small Parisian getaway. Bien!
About the only downside was the noise from the Ballard Fitness club early in the morning---we felt as if we were actually taking the cycling class that started at 6am! But we're good sleepers, and all in all did not distract from the whole experience.
Clean and friendly.small tiny room.great coffee and location.the mattress was lopsided so we did not sleep well.nice and quiet place.
Bed mattress was lopsided and uncomfortable
Location was the best! Step outside your door and you are in the heart of Ballard. Walking distance to great restaurants and bars, yet the room was quiet and we got a great night's sleep. The best of both worlds. Staff was pleasant and helpful with good recommendations for dining and shopping. Definitely will return.
The rooms are somewhat cramped with no closet and not much "walking around" room, but this is a minor inconvenience compared to the cleanliness and convenience of the location.
Great location, lots of shops restaurants close by. Room was clean and common areas were also clean. Good value for the money. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
If you are a light sleeper, it would be a little loud. You can hear street noise and noise from other travelers in the hallways. Staff was away from the desk a lot so the window was closed.
Location in the heart of Ballard
Shared bath a little bit of a hassle but never a problem. Also noisy neighborhood but fun. Full of energy. Ear plugs were great. Slept with window open.
Close to bus stop, perfect for enjoying ballard historical district. Staff is great, rooms and bathrooms are clean, everything is charming at Ballard Inn.
The Inn, the location, the beds, staff, the athletic club
Waiting on the bathroom, no ac it got a bit hot at night.
Staff friendly and helpful.
