Location in the heart of Ballard
Shared bath a little bit of a hassle but never a problem. Also noisy neighborhood but fun. Full of energy. Ear plugs were great. Slept with window open.
The Inn, the location, the beds, staff, the athletic club
Waiting on the bathroom, no ac it got a bit hot at night.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Location, price, easy access to Scandinavian Seattle, Cosy, nice helpful staff.
The place is clean and well kept. The staff were friendly and helpful.I liked the neighborhood, it is full of neat shops and cafes.
I did not like the parking situation. There was nowhere close to the place to park the car overnight and they wanted 15 bucks to park in the lot of a nearby hotel. When we got to our room we noticed the earplugs on the nightstand. We were awoken very early the next morning by obnoxiously loud music coming from the gym next door.
Loved the hotel, room, opening windows, the neighbourhood. I was excited to stay here and was not disappointed!
The spin class across the street at 6am. That was pretty obnoxious, but hardly the hotels fault.
Nice location right in pub and dining area. Lovely old house with great staff, clean and lovely room.
Is is very noisy given it is in a pub and Restaurant area. No air condition, which is probably only an issue 4 weeks a year. We were there in August and it was hard to sleep with windows open... Very loud!
LIKED THE LOCATION, ALTHOUGH A LITTLE FAR FROM DOWNTOWN SEATTLE.
THOUGHT THE PRICES WERE TO HIGH FOR WHAT WE GOT.
The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean.
No closet and minimal number of coat hooks, meant we had to "live out of the suitcase". For some strange reason, our room had no bedside tables. Also, it was quite noisy on Friday night, since the hotel is near bars and restaurants.
The location was awesome. Great restaurants and bars within walking distance. And a block from the bus to take you anywhere. Definitely an up and coming neighborhood so it will only get better.
Minor complaint: the light switch for the restroom was outside in the hall.
It was clean, in an interesting neighborhood, good mattress and price.
The street noise (bar hoppers) went every night until 2:30 - when the bars closed. There were loud partying voices, loud motorcycle engines. That the rooms include earplugs is a good hint. Also the room was really warm despite cool time of year, so we needed to have the window open...making things even louder.
CRAMPED ROOM, NOTHING MORE THAN A BED, TV, AND NIGHT STAND! SHARED BATHROOM SHARED SHOWER STALL A SMALL SLIDING WINDOW OPENING ONE FOOT AWAY FROM SIDEWALK/STREET. NO A/C slooooww wifi NEVER AGAIN!
Located in the heart of the some of the best dining spots. You have access to the Olympic Gym, which is beautiful, old and has everything to offer. Linens and towels are European quality. Rooms are cozy with a old/new charm.
Street traffic can be very loud at night.
Very close to everything, bars, resturants and not too far from the city (if you have a car). It's a good area. Shared bathrooms but very clean & didn't have issues with it. Friendly staff.
Very very small room. Our bed was in a cavity in the wall, hardly any room to open 1 of our bags. No fan or air-con. And because it is close to bars there's a LOT of noise at night, hotel provides war plugs that did the trick.
This was a great find! I will be back and am anxious to stay there again. The cleanliness was beyond impressive.
Quaint, history building in an excellent location. The staff was very welcoming and pleasant.
Due to the location and how popular the neighborhood is, it can be a bit noisy at night. The hotel provided earplugs, though, which was very thoughtful!
One block from my son's apartment. The free gym access.
We could hear people in the shower. The shampoo wasn't great.
All the things! Seriously though- the room was clean, hotel was in an awesome location and the staff were great!
Location is fantastic. Hotel is clean and tidy.
Room was small for the amount we paid. Poor sound insulation from the street noise.
The character of the Inn was inline with the Ballard neighborhood. I liked the setting of the inn. One does not need to venture far in search of things to see and do in Ballard.
The walls and windows were paper thin. I'm a bit of a light sleeper so I found it hard sometimes to stay asleep. The street noise on Ballard ave isn't overly loud, but having some more white noise would have helped the ambience out a bit.
It's location suited our requirements in Ballard. The staff were very helpful and the hotel/Inn was clean
The owners have just opened a new 5 star hotel beside the Ballard Inn (which we moved to for our last 2 nights). However, both are overpriced. We paid over $200 a night for the hotel room. This is a hotel in a suburb of Seattle (not in Downtown). It's a 30 minute bus ride to Downtown?? Onle being opened 2 months meant the rooms and facilities are superb. Seattle is an expensive city, so maybe that is why the prices are pitched so high. The price we booked with you $135 did not include taxes which added a further $20 per night? $150 a night for a room that was only adequate (no en-suites, no wardrobe, no food services, no security safe, no lift). It will now be used as extra rooms for the hotel the owners just opened. Very overpriced for what we got (but Seattle is an expensive city)
It was clean and the location was great. It was right on street with a lot of restaurants and night life within walking distance.
There was a lot of noise from the street so it was hard to sleep. There was no coffee maker or phone in the room. I realize it was an old hotel but it could have been made much more comfortable.
The charm of the old-world decor is quite pleasing and the location in the Ballard area with its attractions leaves little wanting.
We had a King room for 7 nights but thought hanging space for clothing very inadequate and towel rails in the bathroom non existent. While an explanation for the lack of room telephone is acceptable perhaps the management should consider provision of a pay-phone for use by guests, especially OS visitors.
The room was comfortable. The hotel itself was an interesting older building, set in an interesting area.
Being right on a trendy street ended up meaning being awakened by people leaving the bar at 12:30 a.m. on a Tuesday. Quite a bit of street noise during the week so I'm imagining the weekends are very noisy. Parking was also a challenge if you didn't want to pay extra for the nearby parkade.
