Location, location, location...The Inn is located on a part of the battlefield and just a few yards from where General Lee observed the battle. Also and just a few yards farther is the ABC brewpub.
The Inn's last day of operation is 31 Dec 2014. That said, and for a noble cause, the removal of the Inn is part of a project to restore this historic site to its wartime appearance.
FRIENDLY AND COMFORTABLE
It was our first stay here.... BUT THEY'RE CLOSING THEIR DOORS... We're disappointed that this hotel will no longer be there.
Loved the atmosphere, cleanliness, and location!! The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was hot and delicious!
Finding out it was going to be torn down!!
We loved everything about this hotel and we were looking forward to staying here more often. Upon our checke out we found out that they will be closing on 12/31/14 to be knocked down. We will be back up to stay around for Chritmas for one last visiti to this hotel
The hotel will be knocked down the first part of January
The hot breakfest! Location! Loved that the museum is there and the restaurant! Beautiful location!
Shower was not the best, bed didn't sleep very well
Loved the fact they offered a nice breakfast. Location tight at the battlefield. Great choice
Convenient for battlefield.
Location was everything you could wish for to view the Battlefields and surrounding countryside, excellent, excellent, excellent what a place. well done to Gettysburg for preserving this site.
Parking all metered in town although understandable it being historic but still worth a mention.
Location, quality of the Inn and proximity of the restaurant. Too bad it is scheduled to be destroyed.
The location was superb. Close to the battlefields and the city. Breakfast was fantastic with all kinds of choices and lots of it. Pool was clean, easily accessible and warm.
The dead bolt on the door did not close.
Wonderful hotel , very pleasant, helpful, friendly staff . Such a shame it's closing . Room was nice, loved the shower . We are are planning another trip and this will be our "go to " hotel till it closes . It will be Gettysburgs loss when it closes . A piece of history it's self .
Wireless wasn't great but we were not there for that
Location great. Very good breakfast. Good value for money. Exceeded expectations
Right on the battlefield
Good location, right on the battlefield and just a short walk from town
Clean rooms, personable staff, beautiful location. Great restaurant. Very sorry that it will not be there next summer. We had a wonderful weekend there.
Should have frig and microwave in each room at no charge. Most hotels have this item today.
Location, staff, facilities, breakfast
Absolutely nothing. ( except to hear the hotel is being knocked down in 2015).
Everything from beginning to end. So. sad to learn that they are tearing the building down. this is prime. location and beautiful .
That it is being demolished
The bikers very noisy
Very comfortable room size of the room was bigger than expected. Incredible location. Not your usual Quality Inn …. better
Pool closed too early breakfast area was extremely crowded and hot food was not very good(eggs were bad both days0
Location is ideal in the heart of the Gettysburg Battle area.
Maid service could stand some improvement. On the last evening, my husband had to go to the office for wash clothes. Soaps were not replaced either.
Location is perfect.
Convenient location to battlefield and town. Staff was cheerful and very helpful. We would definitely go back.
The breakfast was very good!
Noisy!!! The AC was very loud and the walls were so thin we could hear everything from another room that should have been private sounds...
Great staff & even though the buildings are older, they are maintained in excellent condition. Above average breakfast buffet.
