The breakfast was poor. Apple juice tasted like water. Had to ask for waffle mix, no boiled eggs. Condiments were missing. Disappointing. Also, large hotel in the off season but no clean rooms on the bottom level with few guests. Staff not dressed nice to meet public.
Convenient to National wildlife Refuge. Friendly staff. Free breakfast. Cheap rate.
Could hear neighbors upstairs walking around. We had a nonsmoking room. When we returned from our 1st outing, the bathroom smelled as though someone had been smoking in it. Built up residue of dirty fingerprints around bathroom door handle. Mosquito guts (or worse) on wall. Housekeeping did not clean off countertops nor replace used plastic cups. Watered down juices for breakfast.
Clean beds and easy to bring in pet dog. Loved being on Chincoteague Island
Location, cleanliness, price, WAFFLES, stay here at least twice a year.
I like everything
The front lobby staff were wonderful. Check in was taken care of quickly and the friendly chat was welcome! The cleaning staff were very friendly the next morning and breakfast was delish! I will definitely be back!
Location, good pillows, they accommodated a pet (at $15/night but subject to eviction without refund on an arbitrary condition).
Shower had not been cleaned well; entire room smelled mildewy/musty; back sore from uncomfortable bed.
Very noisy. Drunks in the rooms nearby laughing and shouting until 2 am....both nights
Tv had a poor selection of channels. Wifi was 1.5 Mps so slow it was a joke!
Musty odor; burned out light bulbs; could not get on to wi-fi, frosted fridge
Breakfast was great. The front clerk was kind. We are mature Harley riders and we're treated respectfully.
We enjoyed the island in the hotel pool was very clean. I can't think of anything that I did not like.
Loved the breakfast buffet.
The breakfast area was too small and little variety.
You won't find a more willing staff or a better location.
It was a little pricey, but it was also an excellent location at a good resort during prime season.
Cabin room was enjoyable. Close to many good places to eat and shop. Minutes from the beach.
It was cheap!
We had to ask for a room change as there was an awful smell in the one we were given.Several light bulbs didn't work. The pool was right next to the busy road.
Great little hotel and location
The AC unit was older and made fairly loud noises throughout the night
The older, mellowed pine paneling and high ceilings with exposed beams harken back to an earlier era of beach vacations. Very quiet to be on a main drag. Rodeway Inn is within a short walking distance of good places to eat and explore.
When you stay a week, the breakfast offerings are too limited, and not enough different fruit is available. I prefer a hot breakfast that includes eggs, and for these prices that should be do-able.
A little outdated facilities
It was dog friendly for any size dog
We were constantly killing drain flies, management was informed, they couldn't spray our room because we had our dog, but they did not offer us another room, so we used a lot of lysol
Great location and within walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants.
Not really any dislikes.
Hotel was priced nice for a weekend in July. We only stayed one night and found it was nice that they still rent out rooms on a nightly basis unlike most places in nearby Ocean City. Staff was very friendly at check in and check out. Within walking distance to shops/restaurants etc. Kids really enjoyed the pony "lightning" they have on the grounds. I also liked that they offer a laundromat type of facility and picnic tables with charcoal grills. We didn't use either of these, but it was a nice option. Would definitely stay here again, and most likely will next year.
My biggest complaint would have to be the pool area. Pool was nice, but most of all the chairs surrounding it seemed to be dry rotted and falling apart so seating was limited. The only other complaint I have and this is not the hotels fault, is that it is on the main road so traffic can get a little busy coming and going to and from the beach. Inside breakfast area is a little small, but they do have a nice outdoor seating area to eat at as well. Wifi did not work for us unless we were at the pool.
The hotel is located in a perfect spot. It is in walking distance to shopping areas, ice cream shops, golfing, beach and various other spots. The staff was friendly. The highlight of the hotel is the on site grill areas which make in nice to shop and cook right at the place you are staying at.
Not much that I didnt like, but, I think that it was pretty pricey. Otherwise I would rate the hotel at a 78%.....high C.
Loved the location. Within walking distance to alot. Quiet motel. Pool was by room and the kids loved that. Short drive to beach. Will be going back next year !!
