The location was great. The beds were fine. They did have a wine opener at the front desk I was able to use.
No black out curtains!!!! To top it off my room was right across the street from the courtyard sign which is lighted all night. You can hear everything people say in the hall and the construction down the street shook the building.
I enjoyed the free wifi and the breakfast. The room was nice in terms of the bed, room size, having a desk, microwave, and fridge.
I didn't like the closet, it wasn't deep enough for my suit jackets so I left the door open. The shower floor looked dirty, but the adjustable shower head was a plus. The restraunts they offer in the menu book were all terrible, just yelp the area to experience the fantastic food of Portland.
horrible smell on hallways, you should stop breathe while going out from elevator way to your room. Hard to get wifi connection inside your room.
Convenience of location.
Looks waaaaay nicer from online photos than it is in reality.
Big breakfast selection. Staff very friendly and helpful. Indoor pool was nice.
Bed too soft. But my kids loved it.
location, free breakfast
I went to ask the server on 1/9/05 if I could possibly have an english muffin. He yelled at me, from his workroom,"Don't you know this is staff only." I did not feel comfortable, I did not report this before but I thought you would like to know. I will never return to this hotel.
Location was very close to the max line trains and convention center. Free breakfast was good.
Shower was the size of a matchbox. Original booked room smelled like cigarettes (this hotel is a non-smoking facility). Bed had a slope which was very uncomfortable.
Breakfast, location, security making rounds. Also their staff were extremely polite, nice and helpful.
The entire place smelled like asbestos and feet. Our room in particular smelled like the set of a porno/workout video. They were replacing the floors or something, but the whole place was damp and a bit nasty.
Bed was comfortable Close to venues and shopping
Bathroom needed work - caulking, cleaning. Carpet was old and dirty Very noisy
It was one the cheapest (middle rated) place to stay.
Around 30 minutes walking to downton. Mattress was extra soft (it seems that you sleep inside the mattress and I weight less than 145lb). Very basic and retro bathroom.
Traveled 13 hours by car for an nba game and the location was a 7 minute walk from the game. Place was clean and beds soft but comfy
Trams outside my window. But it's Portland. There are trams everywhere
Location comfort and facilities and size of room
room was clean; proximity to downtown & convention center
hallways were being remodeled; confusing signs, etc.
Bed & location to moda center
The remodeling did not give us access at night when we checked into our room, but only 1 out 3 exit access doors. I have a knee injury & my knee was extremely sore & my wife's foot was in a cast. Plus it was raining hard & we both were soaked by the time we got into our room.
room was clean; excellent location for eateries, shopping, Starbucks, MAX train, convention center, etc.
general cleanliness of corridors, lobby, etc.; must (hopefully!) be doing some redecorating....lots of bare, concrete floors, plastic wind (?) barriers in corridor, corridor carpet gross
Location is awesome, the room was great, bed comfy and room clean. Good value for the price.
The outside of the room was all torn up on the floors and some kind of construction was being done but we didn't see a sign on the second floor about it. The hallway was always freezing cold and smelled very strongly of weed one night and people were running around screaming another night. But I guess that's not really the hotel's fault.
The location is great. The hotel is close to MAX station and just 2-3 stations from city center.
Location was good. Easy access to downtown via the Max. Shopping and restaurants all within easy walking distance.
The hotel was undergoing major renovations and was in a mess. We didn't know that at time of reservation. There was a free breakfast but it was not up to regular standard for Quality Inn. There was dried out egg which I think was omelette!, no cream cheese for the bagles and 4 greasy sausages.
My husband and and I stayed here after a much needed night out. The hotel was close to the venue and the price was affordable. I was impressed with the bed. Very comfortable!!
The facilities are old and the room had an odd smell. While the main area of the room was nice the bathroom was not. The actual bathroom was only large enough for a stand up shower and the toilet. They were clean but the paint on the walls looked like it hadn't ever been done. There was even pen marks and dirty fingerprints all over. It was gross.
Staff is very friendly.
Out dated but clean.
Location and comfort
Wifi did not work in our room. After a day and a half into our stay and many attempts trying to get onto the internet and speaking to different people at the front desk, someone finally called us back and told us that it did not work in the location of our room!!!! Q
The bed was so nice and comfy and breakfast that was provided was better then what other hotels offer :)
Would of liked a bigger bathroom with a tub
I liked its close proximity to the train station. $7.00 cab ride. The room was very clean and quite comfortable.
The exterior left a lot to be desired. I was skeptical when I arrived.
Bed Comfortable, room clean, staff helpful
Decoration poor in places but undergoing refurbishment.
