The location was great for where we needed to go. Staff was very polite.
Thought the bed would have been a queen. Double kind of small and the pillows were not enough. The trash in the stairwells should be emptied more often to avoid it smelling.
non smoking room, smelled of smoke loud thru out the night running above us slamming doors all night women talking very loud
Beds are too hard. Water in the sink is very slow. No service esp at night.
The location was good
Everything else was stinky and nasty.
Room wasn't to bad. It worked for what we needed, a place to sleep.
Room smell Property was dirty
We were placed in a handicap room. The bathroom was awesome. The room was very clean. Low price
No coffee! You have to ask at the desk ahead of time for anything you might need. Thought we were getting breakfast.
It's was quiet and clean. Good for a one night stay!
The bed was hard):
Got there after calling to tell them we would arrive after 11. NO ONE WAS THERE TO CHECK US IN!!
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very Quite, pleasent location. Great bed, and very clean. I really enjoyed my stay and hope to go back soon.
Overall, it was a suitable location for my visit.
There is a problem with people smoking around entrance ways, hallways and stairwells despite signs that advise not to smoke within 25 feet of those areas. One of the staff told me that fines can be imposed for people smoking in those areas but they have to catch them. There are not enough security cameras for the size of the property. Especially in areas like the hallways and stairwells. The beds are very old and the bedspreads have cigarette burns.
the location worked great we have stayed in your motels in other sites in Washington that is why we chose the Tacoma.
the room we had was handicapped for my wife the problem we had was the noise we were with I think families who live there they stood out side our door talking loud and smoking we did not get a good rest we will not stay at this location again
Clean, quiet, comfortable Good value for the price
This is the second time I have stayed here - the first time was so good, second not so much. Second time I had to change rooms and then the second room I went in I pulled back the bedspread and striped the bed. The sheets had pen or marker all over them - HELLO it was black ink on white sheets - obviously housecleaning should have caught that, then the front desk told me that I could switch rooms again and I just looked at him and said NO thank you - I was very tired and didn't want to have to change rooms again. I guess I should have, I looked at the little countertop in the kitchen and there was hair on it, so I had to clean that up and because the door didn't want to shut properly but thankfully I was only sleeping there and not staying there a long time. I also found this bed to be really hard this time. This time I was on the second floor in the back part of the hotel, it was very noisy and not pleasant at all!
Free internet and close to restaurants.
Tired, shabby decor, small tv.
First time with extended stay accomodations...loved the ammenities!
Motel feel, next to car lot
Loved the kitchenette with all of the usable wares that was great! Loved the price!
Bed was hard as a rock! Sheets appeared clean, but the blanket and bed spread were obviously not. Room smelled of cigarette smoke, requested non-smoking due to allergies, but it had recently been smoked in. Carpet needed cleaning and ALL of the doors and door frames need wiped down, dirty finger prints everywhere.
The accommodations met our standards of cleanliness & hospitality. We did not experience any 'neighboring' disturbances. Parking was ample & convenient. We were conveniently located to outer areas of travel involving minimal road travel time. enjoyable experience :).
The hotel is close to the freeway and there are a lot of stores and restaurants close by.
Made our reservation through booking.com which was fine. When I booked the room I accidentally reserved a handicap room. Catching the error I called the hotel and asked to not be put into this room and asked to be put into another size bed room. The lady who answered at the hotel assured me it would not be an issue. Upon arrival Casy was working the front desk and we were still in a handicap room. I explained that I was not comfortable using a handicap room it should be available for someone who needs it. Casy said not a problem and put us into another room. When we reached our room it smelted musty and old and then I noticed the bed was only a double size. We went back down stairs and asked to be put into a queen bed room like I had reserved and paid for. That is when Casy's attitude took over and not in a polite manner. He explained to us that the only queen bed rooms were handicap rooms because no one had made the switch when I called in a week earlier. Then he changed his story and told us that the only queen beds were in handicap rooms and there was nothing he could do. I am 5' 11" and my husband is 6' 4" so sleeping in a double bed is NOT an option for us. Then again how many hotels only offer double beds???? Casy was arguing with and finally said he had a room with 2 queens beds, but would have to charge us an additional $10 a night. That was unacceptable since we booked and paid for a queen bed. We explained to Casy that is was not our error and we would gladly stay in the other room, but we would not be paying. Continuing to argue he finally made a call to the hotel manager. He told the manager on the phone “I have a situation here and he needed to talk." Instead of explaining what really happened he was beating around the bush and making it look like, we the guest, were at fault." I told him very politely to please explain the situation correctly and not leave out the important details.
Having a kitchen.
I read a lot of reviews about this place before making a reservation. My main concern was the so called 'rock hard beds' that some of the other reviewers complained about. Let me start by saying that my bed was not hard at all. It was rather very comfortable. The front desk person was nice too. The main reason for my 'not so good review' is this smell in my room. It was so strong that my nose never really got desensitized. It's not the typical 'bad smell' that you come across in low budget hotels. It was something different. May be they used a strong chemical for cleaning or something but I have never experienced that odor before. Very bad. The stair hall has a very strong odor as well. This place is basically an extended stay/low budget apartment building where locals stay. It's not really a hotel/motel. There are no restaurants or convenient stores in the proximity. The second most annoying thing about my stay was the proximity a train track. The loud train-honking woke me up few times. Washroom was small but clean. There was no mold. The kitchenette is a plus if you like to cook. Wifi is free. Overall for me, not a pleasant experience. If you can afford another 20-30 bucks a night, then stay away from this place.
Proximity to family. Ease on and off freeway. Clean. Staff responsive to needs. We stay at extended stay America in other cities. Good value. Stayed in Tucson for a week in October. You have our business . 1
Good location, very close to all amenities.
Didn't have our confirmed room available. Bathroom was grotty and the sink was plugged.
Smoke detector dangling from ceiling, smelled of smoke, wall outlet missing cover plate, toilet paper holder fell off wall.
The peace and quiet. The view. Felt safe.
The bed was hard and uncomfortable.
