Score from 52 reviews Good
Fantastic breakfast, complimentary soup, comfortable room.
Towels thin, ceiling tile very old and warped and carpets need to be cleaned
Out dated. Staff not very friendly.
Beakfast! It was good.
Location was good - easy to access and out of the middle of traffic in town. Room was clean - a standard motel room in size. They provided a refrigerator and microwave, and a flat screen TV with some satellite channels.
While everything was clean, room was fresh smelling and bed was good, everything is dated. They could use some updating - carpets, etc. They offered a free breakfast (which I did not take advantage of) but did eat a dinner in the dining room. Everything was OK but not great.
Price was good and staff was friendly. They had a great hot restaurant style breakfast and beautifully décor. All in all a nice stay.
Door would not latch unless you pushed up against it and then you felt like you were going to end up going through it because it was flimsy.
Comfortable beds Fresh breakfast
Unfriendly and unhelpful reception
Unhappy staff, all facilities are dirty, our sink overflowed and flooded our room from the room above us. We were moved to another room, that tub wouldn't drain so you showered in 4" f old water. Swimming pool was green and they were draining it into the parking lot. Unkept facility, needs to be torn down and rebuilt.
Good and cheap restaurant
the room was very clean and comfortable and the check in quick and efficient.
Comfortable bed, room size
Front desk staff wouldn't take my prepaid USD debit card as payment. Breakfast staff didn't bring my coffee. Staff generally not friendly
I really liked how the staff treated us. I liked the happy hour snacks, good quality breakfast with real food, the pool is large enough to do laps, there is a hot tub, basically the value is incredible. If you come to Taos and want to feel like you are staying with family stay here.
The cleaning product smell in the room smelled like wintogreen lifesavers.
Nice young lady at front desk checked me in. Rooms were clean, need a little update.
Wait staff in restaurant at breakfast were not attentive. No smiles, waited for coffee a long time. Not nice.
The free breakfast was great. The girls at the desk was very nice to us.
When I made my reservation on line I asked to be put on first floor. When we checked in we were put on 2nd floor, no elevator and back of motel. My husband & I have cancer plus my husband has had 2 knee replacements and broken hip. We have no energy so it was very hard for us to do stairs and with the restaurant being in front it was very hard for us. Due to all of this it was a miserable time for both of us.
Not all venues in this chain are created equal. Happy to say that this particular location is very convenient to Taos plaza as well as all nearby locations that you may wish to visit(Taos Pueblo, Millicent Rogers Museum, Rio Grande Gorge Bridge). It is well run and offers all the amenities as described on the website. The room was very spacious, with comfortable beds and good refrigerator. The bathroom is modern. The breakfast is served in the regular restaurant dining room. and is delicious. A nice touch: every day, between 5 and 7 PM there is complimentary soup served. I suppose it could substitute for dinner (if your budget is tight) or if you have availed yourself of a super lunch at one of the many great restaurants in Taos. But that depends on your plans. There is a large, clean, underused hot tub, great after a day of activities, as well as a reasonably large swimming pool (I had it to myself!), in a nicely landscaped area. The WiFi works very well. Good value for your money.
The only glitch was on one of the mornings (we stayed three days) when a large group overran the breakfast facilities and there was a wait for service. Make sure you ask about this the night before so you can accomodate your breakfast time. It is a chain after all so it is not particularly long on charm but sometimes efficiency is more important.
Great having shuttle to the plaza, and the lemon water in the lobby was really appreciated.
Bed pillows just OK
Most all of stay...not enough working outlets in room. Wi-fi not great. Staff, accommodations & location wonderful!!! We'll be back!!!
See above comment.
The breakfast! location Good value.
Hotel exterior and hallways run down.
It was quiet and staff was awesome
Room was to warm to even sleep
Everything. Great room, free breakfast and location. Nice pool and jacuzi. Free happy hour soup and chips. Less than 10 minute drive to Plaza. Free parking by Guadalupe Church.
Great breakfast. Convenient to all of Taos.
A bit in need of a rehab but a great value for cost. Close to down town area staff was very helpfull, room was clean breakfast was better than most. Would come back! If you need new and updated you probably won't like it, but if not you'll be very satisfied.
The courtyard and the pool. Which we spent most of our time.
Staff was great.
Would be nice if it was down town.
The location at the south of town was great, close to several nice restaurants and easy access to nearby tourist destinations. Rooms fronting on the pool were nice. Breakfast was passable.
The A C was noisy and we were unable to control the room temperature. Also, the configuration of the drapes left a large upper window uncovered, so the morning sun woke us very early. We found two spiders in the bathroom.
We loved the breakfast that came with the room and the drink tickets for the bar and the manager's special. Although I didn't use the pool, the pools areas seems quite nice (great for families with children). The lobby was beautiful and the staff was wonderful - among the best I've encountered. All-in-all, a very nice place to stay in Taos.
No elevator -- next time we will request a downstairs room!
