The room was very small for the price and the location wasn't good either. Would not recommend this hotel. For the price Residence Inn is so much nicer!
The price was good and it was close to down town Salinas. The rooms themselves where somewhat modern.
The area was questionable and the pictures of the rooms and hotel were misleading. I had the impression I would be staying in a nicer area. A lot of street traffic could be easily heard from the room.
We chose this location because we wanted a location near both Pinnacles National Park west side and Monterey. Pretty good value - bed was comfortable, continental breakfast (incl. hot waffles) included.
clean and near town
Expensive Breakfast marginal (no decaf coffee)
Room was clean
Breakfast- only 4 talbles available- u have to wait always after 8:30 am Price- during we and special events the price is extrem high for what they offer
room was large, very clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast had a lot of choices.
Not much in the way of shopping or restaurants nearby
Parking space limited, noise neighborhood
Nicely kept up, perfect location for the Salinas Rodeo, 30-minute drive to Monterey and the aquarium, numerous outlets suitable for charging devices, pleasant complimentary breakfast.
Hair dryer broken, need an additional chair or two, pretty standard motel room design - comfortable but nothing special
Cleanliness Comcast Cable service Breakfast
Cramped room. Sheets had holes/stains.
No flat screen tv
TV would not work, toilet broken dirty sheets on one bed. Would not recommend.
all staff services-location-
Apparently there was a overflowing toilet the night before our stay; they went ahead and left the carpet in front of the bathroom and under the sink soaking wet. The room smelled horribly of wet stinky feet/wet dog. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. After 3 nights there my back is still aching. The television is an old tube that was buzzing and it was so obnoxious, that we couldn't even consider winding down with a little tv.
The staff when we arrived did an excellent job. He was very friendly and helpful. The woman after him, was very friendly as well. We were very happy.
I was not too thrilled about the price. Service was great, until our last day, when I called the front desk for new towels, since we used all the ones the day before, from when we arrived, and he said they would have to charge us. I never ever had any hotel, even Motel 6, charge us for new towels. He didn't even let me finish what I had to say, and said, he would see what he could do, and hung up on me. I was going to give him a piece of my mind when I was checking out, but I didn't as he ended up not charging us. Overall, we were pleased with the breakfast, and stay.
The staff was very friendly.
The wet carpet from being clean. And the small breakfast room.
Friendly, knowledgeable front desk upon arrival. Locked stairwells.
Location. Nice exterior but old interior. No waffle batter.
Complimentary breakfast starts to late. Elevator service, to first floor, is turned off at 11PM and isn't turned on until 7AM. This is very inconvenient from the 3rd floor, early in the morning.
The remodeling was nice and the breakfast wasn't too bad either.
The fact that they charged me 50$ more than the price said and they charged me before my stay was over.
very comfortable sleeping and good free breakfast choices, including waffles for breakfast..nice attractive clean room
The guy at the front desk is awful. Such an unpleasant person. Zero social skills, acts like he's doing you a favor letting you stay here. Very poor english. Couldn't barely understand him. After 10pm main entrance door closes and you have to go thru the stairs. That sucked in the cold night. Shower was terrible. Tub looked old and there was no plastic mat. Room was extremely small and stuffy. Yogurts served for breakfast were 2 weeks expired. Wouldn't stay here again.
Room cleanliness and breakfast area clean.
We arrived at 1 a.m. and after checking in at the night window we had an outsider scoping us out twice. It made us nervous and uneasy.
Quiet & clean
The breakfast was terrible considering the room was $400/night
