We liked the room, it was large and very comfortable. It also had all the amenities we ever would have wanted. Convenience to grocery store made it easy to save money on a quick lunch or snack. We were visiting family so the view was not a big factor. We would use the Clarion again when we visit.
I found the bed to be a little firm but my husband it to be too soft. You can't please everyone. Considering the value the view was okay, if you are going to view the ocean you will have to pay a lot more. No water view, but the ocean is only minutes away. Otherwise we found everything to be very satisfactory.
We liked that it was clean, offered the Continental breakfast and that the room had a microwave along with the refrigerator. Wished that there was more of a tea selection. I brought my own teas and Splenda. No other guests bothered us. Being close to S&S and Hanks's breakfast nook across the street was definitely a plus.
After working and traveling, it had been close to 12 hrs w/out eating and upon dropping our bags off in our room we headed to the restaurant only to find out that it was closed for a private party. With no other options available to us (as we didn't have a car) we went to S&S and got a grinder for dinner, which we heated up in our room.
Large. comfortable room. Nice bedding and pillows. Good breakfast included!
A little outside out Edgartown so it was a good walk to town or a taxi ride in.
Convenience to all attractions. Quiet, staff was fairly friendly.
Leaking toilet, breakfast was poor choices,
The staff covered our booking problem well. They found us a room although it didn't have the facilities we booked. They offered a discount and we finally negotiated a reduced rate. The rest of our stay, they were very courteous and helpful
We booked this room in November. A deposit was taken. On the way to Martha's Vineyard we missed our ferry. We called the hotel to say that we would not be able to check in until 9:00 PM but that we would be there. They said fine. When we got to the hotel at 9:00 we found that they had given our room away and the hotel was "sold out". After some complaining and checking, a room was found. The price was ridiculous. I get that this is a seasonal business, but this hotel is basically a nice Motel 6!
Hotel was clean and located in a good spot. We were able to walk to town.
Disappointed the outside patio wasn't set up. For the money the continental breakfast was horrible. If you're charging that much have some fresh bagels. We should have realized it was going to be horrible when we were told about the deli next door at check in.
Was easy to find. Continental breakfast was a nice perk.
It would have been nice to have an outdoor sitting area.
Loved the location & also loved the rooms, very very nice will definitely stay there again. Super clean & really quiet this time of year. Was well worth the room rate especially when compared to the next place we stayed at!
There wasn't anything I didn't like about it.
Conveniently located next to the Stop and Shop supermarket. Short walk into town. Bus stops out the front of the hotel. Places to eat nearby. Clean and comfortable room and bed. Good room facilities (especially the microwave). Free wifi.
Noisy guests (majority of the guests were temporary off island workers) coming back to the hotel late in the evening and leaving very early in the morning. Room heating fan was very noisy. Very basic breakfast. Wasteful use of form cups and plastic plates/bowls and cutlery. Patchy wifi.
Was there for a trial and the location was convenient.
Asked for a quiet room and was told I had the best room in the hotel. It was next to a stairwell in the front of the hotel on the street where the traffic noise kept me awake at night.
