Ocean view and cleanliness
The bed was making to much noise. lol
Was clean and the location is fine.
When we arrive there were nobody expecting us. The maneger talk with us by phone. And insist that we haven't any reservation. Was very bad!
The ocean front view the peace and quiet and the convenience of the location.
The continental breakfast could be better then a choice of bagels or toast, which comes with the room. Most other hotels due provide better free breakfast.
Right next to the beach
No coffee in room, one of our room keys stopped working so we could not get into our room. We called the number on the phone, the lady who answered was super miserable and reluctant to let us back into our room. Sink and bathtub leaked all over when ran.
The view of Long Island sound was beautiful.
The walls are very thin, the structure of the building is very old. It needs updating.
My wife and I arrived in early evening. Did not have much daylight left. Had dinner at restaurant on site. Wait staff were very accommodating on our late arrival. At first our King bed felt firm and uncomfortable.....but to our surprise...we both woke well rested. Not one bone cracked when I got out of bed. The morning view of the Sound was very relaxing. I opened the sliding glass door and went back to bed just to lay there while my wife gathered coffee and muffins from the restaurant. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the view and fresh air. We walked the beach attached to the property and collected shells along with some great pictures. Memorable experience.
The hotel was older but it was well maintained and it was clean.
The woman who checked us in to the hotel was extremely rude. Our reservation name had changed when we changed the credit card we were using to check in. We were unaware of this and gave to the wrong name checking in. The woman was incredibly rude when telling us there was no one staying there by that name. When she finally came out of the office to talk to us she took our credit card and then rudely threw it back at us when she found out she was wrong and we had made an innocent mistake.
while on a 10 day east coast trip were had 1 night stop over at this hotel. It was right on the beach and room on upper floor had a small balcony. Great location. A little off the beatin path.
The so called breakfast that was included was a bagel and juice or coffee. We also had a late dinner and is was less than average.
VERY clean On the ocean very nice neighborhood bar/restaurant on site balcony off room in room fridge and microwave tons of little seashells on beach THE PRICE!!
place needs a little updating beds need a little updating TV cable was fuzzy at best
First time since we've been staying there was an abundance of flies in the dining area. A real turnoff.
Nice town, beach right there, nice views of Long Island, friendly/helpful maid service, food pretty decent at Marnicks. Room was clean, wifi worked well. All in all a relaxing experience.
We asked for early checkin in our reservation, and would have understood if it was not available. When we got there about noon, the man behind the counter was quite rude and flustered about our even showing up at that time.
Location is great, right on the water, quiet neighborhood. Best bang for your buck. Food at Marnicks was good. Nice staff, clean rooms.
The only bad thing is the TV is old and it does not have a lot of channels but who cares for the price and we did not spend a lot if time in The room anyway.
The hotel checked my credit card before I arrived to charge incidentals. When they realized there was insufficient funds on the card for this, they cancelled my reservation. Why would a hotel be checking my credit card before I arrive, especilly when I specified that I would pay in cash upon arrival?
Location and restaurant
Spent a lot of money in 7 days and didn't get one buy back at the bar
Being by the beach nic quite and relaxing
location, cleaning lady
rude staff at desk and restaurant, did not explain free breakfast clear enough, first morning gave us receipt and didn't tell us we just had to put room # and sign, even though it's a great location we would not recommend, listen to the reviews, I did not a regret staying there.
We spent one night to break our journey Boston/new York. Clean rooms/bathrooms even if the furniture is a bit old. We really appreciated the fact of being on the beach. The restaurant is good and not too pricey. We stayed there because the reviews were good and it is true to what I read.
The breakfast. It is served by a waitress who gives you a menu with prices but when you say you want the breakfast that goes with the room she finds it difficult to tell you exactly what you can have. I wanted coffee and toast, toast is not included so I paid extra for the toast.
I liked it because it was so close to the beach.
I had to take a smoking room.
TV and channels were below average
My wife and I stayed for a relaxing night away from the kids. It was that and more. We arrived early and spent the day on the each which was very relaxing. We retired to our room around five to wash up and get ready for dinner. We didn't eat at the restaurant but returned after for a night cap at the bar. We had a wonderful time. The only thing I would change next time would be to spend the extra $10 for a balcony room!
it is a quiet getaway for a night. Got a little beach right outside the door. The rooms were roomy and clean, the outside deck bar/restaurant was great.
I loved the location. I took a walk along the beach. The view of Long Island Sound was spectacular. The food in the restaurant was excellent. My whole experience was amazing. Yes the rooms are a bit dated but very clean and comfortable nonetheless. I will be back.
Can't think of anything
I loved everything. It was great for a small getaway. In front of the beach. Next to a fair restaurant.
The only thing I didnt like, was the shower. Shower didnt have as much power as it should of been.
