Score from 687 reviews Very good
The hotel was very clean and the room was quite nice. Wonderful location very close to the theatre district and not a far walk from Central Park.
Good size room for solo traveller. Comfortable bed.
Room C-101 is located below the lobby to the right of the elevator. There is a lot of noise from foot traffic outside the door, the vending and ice machines, and outside (there is either a bar or a club in the vicinity and you can hear the bass all night). The shower is also tiny and water escapes so there is a puddle on the floor after a few minutes.
I was able to get the $99 promo (excluding taxes) and I feel that it's a good deal considering the location. It's actually in the Hell's Kitchen area but you will get to Times Square by walking 2-3 blocks. Its proximity to other touristy attractions is a must a well. Anyway, I love the free wifi and they weren't kidding when they said they have fast internet connection. I also love the pillows (all 5 of them!). The room also looks new and the bed looks good as well. By the way, their check-in time is actually 3 pm but their front desk staff that time (November 26) was kind enough to let me check in early at 9 am because there was already a clean room available. Now that's great service!
The space is really small but it was not really an issue for me because I was traveling alone. I was also in the second floor so my view is not so much. In fact there was a building currently being constructed in front of the inn so I have to put my drapes down for privacy. My total bill is still pending but I hope there are no additional charges because when I computed the $99 rate plus taxes, I don't think it will amount to the total I saw on my bank statement.
Very convenient walking distance to the Intrepid (air carrier and museum) as well as the passenger cruise terminal (tho we had to take a taxi to the cruise terminal due to luggage). Hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. It was very nice to have tea/coffee maker in the room.
I'd forgotten how noisy Manhattan streets are, even at night. And it doesn't matter how high up you are: bring earplugs!!! Also recommend changing the king bed in our room to a queen, so there would be room to walk around the bed and somewhere to put luggage. Room space was very tight!
Simple accommodations Priced well
Very good beds, modern and clean interior. Location is good.
Hectic and congested set up for breakfast. Quite noisy.
The hotel was pretty much what I expected . Staff were very friendly and helpful, at any time of day. Good for the breakfast, if you wanted it.
The hotel was farther away than I thought. The rooms were also smaller than I expected and no where except for a few hooks to hang your clothes up. I would have liked to have a computer in the lobby area to look things up and to print out boarding passes for return flights home.
Every thing was excellent from staff, location, comfort. Over all very positive experience would definitely stay here again.
Great staff! Cozy room. Good selection on the breakfast items, never walked away hungry.
With only one elevator, it made getting to our room interesting. The elevator tended to get confused as to which floor it was being called to.
Location was decent; 3 to 5 blocks from Times Square, subway access and most theatres. Staff was pleasant. Complimentary breakfast was very good.
There was an odour present in the room. One elevator to service the building was inconvenient. The room was so small it was difficult to navigate around the room with luggage. The view was unimpressive. Wi-Fi was slow.
WiFi worjed great and it was just a few blocks from great restaurants and activities
Our room was too small and construction across the street woke us early and made for noisy days
The location and ease of going to Times Square
Very small. Poor breakfast.
- Great location - Great value for NYC, especially considering its central location - Excellent staff - very helpful and friendly. Hotel would be sub-standard without them! - Comfortable, large bed - Free WiFi - Great for business/short stay
- Small rooms - Very basic breakfast with a very small seating area - Lack of storage space in rooms - AC in room very loud and no dial to adjust temperature
The location was great. It was close to public transport and hop on hop off buses but far enoug away to be away from the busy parts. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Ther was nothing much apart from general noise from other people which wasn't the hotels fault.
We found the staff outstandingly cheerful and helpful in every respect. Included breakfast was plentiful, varied and good quality and a 24 hour tea and coffee making station in the lobby was really convenient. Trays were provided for you to take breakfast to your room if preferred which was very relaxing. We came back about midnight or later several evenings and felt totally safe. Public transport was easily reached although we found we were close enough to walk most places. Our room was very comfortable and stylish with lots of little extras provided and with a bath as well as a power shower. Overall, a terrific week's stay, and the nicest hotel staff I've ever encountered. Well done to the manager, much praised by his staff for his kindness to everyone and clearly setting a great example in making everyone's stay the best possible experience. Thanks!
The building site across the road was a bit noisy at times but generally not too bad even though our room was directly opposite.
Clean room Large bed Very helpful staff Not too far from Times Square and the subway station
Room had everything we needed and was cleaned everyday.
Breakfast was chaotic hardly ever got a table. Building work taking place across the road woke us up early every day. Communication about payment not great, we wanted to pay cash but was autpmatically taken off a card we didnt want and noone told us.
Location and value and value for the money.
Room smelled musty, strong musty smell and carpet felt sticky.
The staff are amazing, good and clean rooms. Little small but for Nyc is ok. Good breakfest.
Few tables to have breakfast. And the location is not the best, you need to walk few blocks to the subway station, but i think is a good value for the money.
Very nice hotel, hot breakfast daily, staff went out of their way to assist us , in every way (taxi, directions, tours). Excellent value for the money. Clean rooms and flat screen TV's.
The lady who checked us in before midnight was very pleasant! And staff generally all throughout the day were very helpful. Breakfast was simple but very good! I love the make your own waffle! Clean rooms and proximity to public transport and sites was perfect.
Nothing major, the toilet if not mindful could choke up on you. Apart from that, everything was sweet.
Loved the breakfast. Loved the staff.
The size of the room very crammy for 4 girls with suitcases going on a cruise.
The room is clean and you can get access to network at anytime.
God location for cruise ship port
Extra Small Rooms. Our room on the cruise ship was bigger.
The AC didn't work properly and the cleaning staff did a poor job "cleaning" our room each day.
