In the light industrial Midway area, this hotel is an 8-minute walk from Old Town. It features an outdoor pool and serves a daily expanded continental breakfast. Each spacious room has free Wi-Fi.

This San Diego hotel overlooks Mission Bay and is a 5-minute drive from SeaWorld. The hotel offers a private beach, outdoor swimming pool and 30-person hot tub.
Score from 267 reviews Very good
The people who lived at the marina were nice, and having access to the closer pool and hot tub was also nice. The upstairs deck was spacious and great to lounge in the sun. The owner was accommodating enough to allow grandma over as a babysitter. Very close to downtown and amusement parks.
Lack of wifi, not the best view, and not very many amenities or very good qualities for the price. I had requested a late check out (1 hour later through booking.com) immediately after booking the stay and was quickly given a reply of that would be no problem at all; the morning we were set to check out I double checked the late check out and got a very prompt no, just not possible. We understood the nature of a boat so when the light turned orange I called to inform the owner as requested and after several calls I didn't receive a call back but later she texted the wrong number and was nice enough to reply that time and told me she had arranged for it to be handled. I had expected better looking sheets considering the price but the were very used looking and had weird stains.
Villa San Juan is located in a perfect location in San Diego. Close to downtown San Diego and many of the tourist attractions. A large roof terrace gives a perfect view over the marina. the children loved the 9 ft deep swimming pool to which we had free access.
This was such a wonderful experience for my family. It was comfortable and roomy enough for the five of us. Amos was accommodating and friendly. Thank you. I want to come back and stay next time I travel to San Diego.
The comfort and room of the house boat were great. The beds and linens were so soft. Ton's of room and the deck was a great place for amazing views
Wifi was stated that it was available but was not.
This was perfect for our group and much nicer than expected. Beds were very comfortable. 2 full baths were a very pleasant surprise. Amos was on top of everything - great communication before, after & during, very helpful, quick to respond. The marina was beautiful - full of cool boats and some foot traffic during the day - as a marina should be! Lovely views and the rooftop deck was just fine - it is an outdoor deck after all. Don't know what smell prior guests were talking about - we had no issues with smell. Amos was very quick to respond when the septic tank needed emptying, there was no prohibition on toilet paper - just a request to limit amount flushed - people are being ridiculous & complaining just to complain. All amenities were exactly as described, including wi-fi when we were on the top deck or on the back deck - sometimes in the kitchen. Really nice location and just the peaceful getaway we were hoping for. Thank you Amos!
The location was excellent.
The railings were unsafe, which the person who helps out told us about, and needed repair. He told us not to lean on the railings. Huge occupational and health issue. Found it disgusting that we had to place the toilet paper in the bin, rather than flushing it down the toilet, causing the boat to smell. On the last day the septic smell was overwhelming. The cleaner started to harrass us to leave an hour before check out time because the next people had arrived.
Great communication! The unit was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Enjoyed being so close to town but yet it felt that we were secluded. Nice kitchen and we were able to make dinner and spend time as a family. We enjoyed our trip and look forward to going back.
There really wasnt anything that we didnt like, but on the first night we got in late and hauling all of our stuff from the parking lot to the unit was horrible! But then in the morning we see that there are carts that we can use to haul stuff. So really it was our fault:)
Kitchen (though no oven) Laundry Separate bedrooms Staff was communicative, responsive and available. Location close to downtown.
Septic that wouldn't allow disposal of TP. Slight septic smell in unit. Water damaged wood on rails of deck on top of boat made it uncomfortable with kids. Top deck was somewhat dirty and not really usable space for a family. Location not as scenic as you'd hope, boats all on top of each other and little view from the boat. Not much privacy with how close the house boats are to each other and how much foot traffic there is right outside.
We were very upset because amenities listed on your website were not available at all! If we knew this beforehand we would have never booked it.
We loved the location. It was perfect. Layout of houseboat was perfect. Beds were comfortable.
Didn't care for the septic smell in bathrooms. Toilets wouldn't flush. Had to go to the Sheraton to use restroom. The septic system registered as full. Made bedrooms smell like raw sewage.
We booked this house boat as we were looking for self catering accommodation for our family for a few days in San Diego. Reservation process was very smooth, and Amos was on hand to greet us and show us around on our arrival. We love boats and being near the water, so it was perfect for us and the marina provided plenty to look at. Another bonus was that it was only a short drive into town and onwards to Coronado Island. The accommodation was excellent, with ample space for us and three teenagers, very comfortable beds and two well appointed bathrooms. The roof area was great for relaxing in the sun. Clearly, as this is a boat, waste is collected in a septic tank, but this caused no problems (or smells) at all. Should it have required emptying, were instructed to call Amos, who would have come straight over to deal with it. I would recommend the house boat to anybody, but especially those looking for something a little bit different, and we would certainly stay again.
The marina pool was closed due to redevelopment, although an alternative was available it was not as convenient. Wi fi also not operational. I understand that the marina is now up and running and all is now resolved, so we look forward to enjoying the full facilities next time.
Close to a lot of things.
No flushing toiletry paper
