Stayed here with some friend, we had the Blue Room, they had the Chambre Des Amis. Both rooms were adorable and the townhouse we stayed in was super cute and cozy in both the shared and private spaces. The spa bath in both bathrooms was a nice touch! The tub was huge; great for a romantic bath for 2! Breakfast in the morning was tasty (featuring fresh baked blueberry scones!) and the staff was very friendly and courteous. Our friends got married that weekend and the staff surprised them with fresh baked cookies and fudge with a lovely congratulatory note: this was an great touch!!
Only bad thing was that we couldn't stay longer!!
We could not have picked a more perfect location to call our home away from home for our first honeymoon. The staff was lovely and welcoming, the room was fabulous, and the spa bath was relaxing. Thank you so much for making this moment unforgettable!
The friendly greeting The art, the comfort, the beautifully presented breakfasts, the helpful advice when asked for.
Can't think of anything...
Walking distance from A LOT of great restaurants. Parking was extremely convenient. Such a cute property.
Staff was very attentive and helpful The room was far more than we had expected Binder of information was super valuable during our stay.
Courteous, thoughtful and polite staff, delicious hot breakfasts with table service, abundant amenities, convenient location. Historic building(s) furnished with antiques.
Comfortable bed, incredibly helpful staff, great facilities, delicious breakfast. Felt like the owners had thought of everything.
Opportunity to do one's own cooking as well as having an excellent breakfast.
One had to be disciplined in the use of space in one's room,
- Very friendly service - Excellent breakfast (Early Bird bag-to-go) - Comfortable bed - Lovely atmosphere and little touches of luxury
- Room slightly on the small side - Many keys
Ambience Food Courtyard in back Darling deck off back (top level) Location Peace & quiet in busy city
Bed too small for 2 adults
It was a long walk but we did hoof it all the way to Wrigley Field for a Cubs Game.
I loved that House of two urns made me feel comfortable like I were at home. The area was convenient to a lot of stores and not too busy like downtown. Also the staff was very pleasant and comfortable.
There wasn't much to say I didn't like. The food wasn't the greatest but still good.
Breakfast was delicious, the hotel is eclectic and charming. There is a beautiful back patio and within close walking distance of public transit.
Easy to get in and out. Had a parking spot.
No hot water for the two days I stayed. Gave an excuse the plumber is Spanish. Im not sure what that means. Stayed for two days never cleaned the room or the bathroom.
The breakfast was not only delicious but gracefully presented also. A recommended stay!
Nice cute place; great breakfast; comfortable beds. If I needed to get anywhere via the Metra, the blue line is very close
couldn't get the Wi-Fi code to work; other reviews said it's close to quaint shopping - I wish I knew where!
Lovely house with very interesting artifacts. Good location.Very good breakfast.
I was put off by all the rules prior to our visit and the fact that no service was offered after 6.00pm,which was a shame because it offers good accommodation. The web site did not make it clear enough that our room was not en-suite and I did not realise it until after I had booked it. Our room was very small but I have no idea if others would have been larger.
Great location central to Wicker Park and many restaurants, shopping, and transportation. The Blue Line is a short walk away and the neighborhood is very nice and clean. It is very quiet during the evening and the breakfast was amazing. This will be our spot for accommodations upon visiting Chicago again in the future. Wonderful establishment....
There was nothing to dislike.
The warm and friendly hospitality of the staff, like Sara and Lucy; the proximity to public transport and other amenities; the excellent breakfast; and the quiet neighborhood. My room was cozy and had its own well-designed bathroom. The refrigerator was well-stocked and I could relax in the terrace or balcony. I wouldn't mind staying there next time around. There's a piano too in the main site across the street. A wonderful and memorable stay worth cherishing, indeed!
DO NOT STAY HERE. THEY ARE RUDE AND NOT ACCOMMODATING. IT WILL BE A WASTE OF YOUR MONEY.
Great neighbourhood location perfect for sight seeing Very comfortable rooms - just like staying at someone's house
Wi-fi didn't work
friendly, clean, great breakfast, close to subway, quiet neighborhood, lots of information on what to do in chicago and where to eat in the polish triangle.
Cummunal breakfast where I met lots of different people and obtained lots of information
Nothing to dislike
