Separate entry. Private bath. All amenities for guest kitchen, great selection of breakfast options. Host is very helpful for local attractions, maps and sights. Very clean, bright, and comfortable! There's even a full body massage chair that you will want to bring home.
Goldilocks syndrome, entirely my own issue: bed was too soft.
Rooms nicely decorated in a quiet neighborhood. There's a great massage chair in the living room. Try it out.
If you are looking for a nice, warm home-cooked breakfast you can forget it. It's a make-your-own continental breakfast. You never see your hostess after check-in. It's not a real problem but some might expect that home-cooked breakfast. Also not sure about the name House on a Rock? I saw no rock.
Lady of the house was very nice and considerate, also very helpful with information about the area. The breakfast was "do it yourself" with a full and stocked kitchen and refrigerator available. The house was very clean.
Super nice family. Plenty of items for breakfast . Nice house. Very clean. We did out laundry while there which was an added Bonus
No view. Name leads to believe that it is on a rock and it is just in a basic housing neighborhood
We liked everything about this stay. The hosts and their darling children were friendly, the room was lovely, the location was easy to find.
My only comment might be to improve the breakfast a bit. Some homemade muffins would have been great for example. I get tired of store bought bakery items when I am traveling.
Prompt attention and responsiveness to questions, requests, assistance with special needs.
- Nice & helpful host - Pleasant living room and space
- Shower is tiny
Great place to stay. Very clean and the facilities are very good.
Just like a hotel but with breakfast and a kitchen and common area for use. Clean and comfortable.
It would have been nice to have more homemade touches to the breakfast like homemade jams or baked goods or warm items like eggs and bacon. Breakfast was great as it was nonetheless.
Owner is absolutely brilliant - very helpful, friendly and flexible. Happy to chat and advise on what to do in Valdes. Plus there are 3 great kids who are supportive as well (and very curious of guests). Breakfast choice is awesome - one of the best I ever had in B&B. It is DYI, but it is benefit (in my view).
You might feel a bit under pressure with "quiet time" which is between 10pm and 8am. The reason is that guests sleep on the 1st floor, while owner (with family) on second floor. This makes you behave like "at Grandma's house", not like at the hotel. Just worth to know!
Spacious room with comfortable beds, complete kitchen for common use with other guests. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety in products. Coffee or thea available at any moment. Good wifi connection. Very friendly hosts.
The noice travels a bit in the house, but nothing what bothered us too much since there was only one other guest staying there.
Nice and friendly family
The proprietors were very friendly and helpful.
We never got our towels changed out. The continental breakfast was somewhat lacking. I would have loved to have seen waffles or pancakes.
