There was no hot water in my room for a whole day and it took 3 calls to have it fixed. There were toe/finger nail clippings all over the floor in the room and on the balcony. There was also broken glass all over the balcony.
The location was great as it was very close to downtown.
Sketchy area. Felt unsafe.
DONT STAY HERE. Filthy room. Poor quality.
Far from downtown
The room is spacious. We liked that it came with a microwave and fridge. It was fairly clean. The first room we were in was a little smaller. Once we made the front desk aware they quickly came up with a solution.
There was no sense of security. Doors were left ajar. There were shady characters coming in and out.
The hotel was close to the freeway
Our room smelt like mildew. We were on the first floor and the patio door didn't lock properly. The doors used to enter the hotel had the ability to be locked and you could use your room key to get in, but they were never locked. Not a good neighborhood at all! I'm surprised our truck didn't get broken into.
The bed and pillows were soft.
As you drive up you're greeted with the cacophony of traffic noises and abundant exhaust smells from the huge highway overpasses you're under. The room itself had a distinct foot odor and there were clearly ladies from the "oldest profession" making money in the back parking lot. It wasn't really our cup of tea.
The desk staff were very kind and helpful.
cigarette holes in comforter and cockroaches
I called the front desk three times asking for towels and they were never brought to me. We had to use dirty towels to shower one night. Also, we were placed in the back of the building where grafitti was huge on the wall, which often symbolizes gangs! Some of the guest looked as if they were living there and gave us problems, as in staring at us girls vulgarly and following us to our room!!! The door was off the hinges and flew open so they looked in our room! The checkout time was wrong on our door so we had to rush to check out! The entrance door did not even require a key because the scanner was broken so anyone could just barge on in. We did not feel safe at all.
I asked twice for extra blankets and pillows and both days they never brought them
The smell of the rooms were awful. The entire facility looked old and unkempt.
Accessibility to Austin downtown
Excellent room with brand new amenities
Too much traffic from other guess in the hallways.
The staff made sure that we were satisfied after upgrading to another room.
There were cockroaches in our room. When I checked in there was a woman changing in the lobby.
The only problem being the way housekeeping just knockedEden before checkout time.
I liked the hospitality of the front desk.
People walking around the hotel at night.
We got to stay in brand new furnished rooms.
When we arrived it was as if our neighbor was trying to look in our patio window. My boyfriend opened the sliding door and asked him if there was a problem, the guy said there had just been a nasty fight in that room before and he was just "wondering" if everything was alright. My boyfriend told him we had just checked in but it felt a little weird. We were in Austin for a concert so we weren't going to be in the room all day we just slept there overnight. Overall the stay was good other than the nosey neighbor. As long as nobody got murdered in that room we were ok with staying in there.
I liked how convenient it was to the highways. Good area. The bed and pillows were awesome!! I slept so good. I woke up fully rested!! I would recommend this hotel if it's just an overnight stay.
The selection of cable tv, the broken glass in the parking lot, and the amount of parties that went on nightly.
I like that the guest service agent was very attentive to details. He was very friendly.
The room had a musty smell. The bathtub did not drain quickly. The patio had trash on it, including a beer can.
The price was right.
Like the breakfast and easy to find the room.
I didn't like that I could not communicate with the lady cleaning my room because she spoke no English. I brought her our dirty towels and she had no big towels so she wrote down our room number so we thought she was going to bring towels to our room. We got back at 11:00 pm and we had no towels so I went to the front desk and they said they had no towels and house keeping would be in at midnight then we could get towels. We were leaving at 6 the next morning so I didn't want to stay up for and hour or more waiting on towels. Very disappointed in the fact that we could not even take a bath after being in the hot sun all day. I will not recommend this hotel because of that fact.
