The staff was extremely friendly. Lot of extra benefits. the breakfast room is very very nice, and the food was excellent. Nice touches in the rooms. Memory foam mattresses, refrigerator and a microwave and they even give you a little rubber ducky. Very nicely decorated. Excellent swimming pool and hot tub. We loved our stay here and would certainly come again!
The staff, especially the manager, Matt, made my stay a wonderful experience. This was the first time that I traveled alone, and, needless to say, I was a little nervous. Upon meeting Matt when I checked in, I knew that everything would be ok. Matt was extremely helpful with ideas on where to eat and what to see. Please forward this note to Matt; he should know how thankful I am for his kindness and patience.
There was nothing that I didn't like. The building was older, but well maintained and very clean and neat.
Beds were old , and springs were sticking out. Uncomfortable.
The staff was friendly, genuine and helpful. It's obvious they care about this place.
The room was clean and the shower had good water pressure so you could get clean. The pool and hot tub were well kept.
The breakfast was Ok, just the essentials, nothing fancy.
The rooms were clean, the food was pretty good the first day, with hard boiled eggs and hot waffles the first day along with the usually hotel continental faire. The pool was clean and a good temperature.
The manager was kind as we checked in and said that anything we needed, they would take care of. Very friendly. However, after that we rarely saw him, he didn't really keep front desk hours, and we had to ask multiple times for things we needed. We needed an extra blanket for a cot my son was sleeping on and we never got that. The second day for breakfast was more minimal than the first, and no one was available to ask questions. I would stay there again because it was clean and the hotel was in good shape. Customer service was just not the best.
Beds need to be upgraded. More attention to the food and coffee in the breakfast room. The coffee was empty and several other items needed to be replenished.
The room was very clean. The staff allowed us to check in early which was a blessing to have time to prepare for a wedding. The whole facility was clean and accommodating. The room had Q-tips! I always forget Q-tips.
The property was clean and had personal touches that were welcoming.
The receptionist was not available upon check-out (she had left a note on the counter saying that she would be right back). We along with others waited for more than two hours for her to return. We had to leave without officially checking out.
Facility is needing some repair. It has just changed ownership from Howard Johnson to "Grand Mesa Express Inn." The included breakfast is just OK, not wonderful.
The beds were very comfortable and the location was not noisy.
the tv guide was difficult to see and read and the picture was only so-so.
Convenient location, quiet, clean. Staff friendly.
There was a power outage which was not hotels fault but wireless internet was not reliable after power came back on. Staff was friendly but girls at check in were sitting outside on curb smoking cigarettes when we arrived and walked in. Continental breakfast was broke down when went downstairs about 9:50. Keep open to 10 or 10:30.
Location, room facilities, $value.
Could use more healthy breakfast options (e.g., yogurt)
We loved the quiet atmosphere, the yummy continental breakfast, the dog-friendly option, the hot tub, the clean rooms and hotel, the friendliness of the manager
We loved everything. We will come again next year!
Bed was too firm for us.
hard bed, loud heater, lack of enough blankets to turn off heater
It was clean, quiet, not a lot of lights coming through the windows.
Taking a shower was loud, the floor in the tub creaked with every move, the TV had a line that moved from bottom to top and then over again, wasnt much of a selection in breakfast, milk warm and juice machine didnt work right. Juice tasted awful. Would not pay that much just to sleep again.
We liked that we can have our dogs with us. It was right in town.
The staff was nice but a bit unprofessional, the owner (mgr) had his daughter check us in which is fine to teach a child to do this, but she was not skilled in how to check in people. It is a very family oriented town but lacked a bit of professionalism. The biggest complaint we had was the adjoining room sheets looked like someone sleep in them after walking in a field and there was some kind of metal piece from a curtain rod or ? in the bottom of the bed covers...
Friendly staff, very accomodating. Excellent location from which to explore the Grand Mesa, and good also for the canyon country west of US50.
