I had a non-smoking room, but smelt like a smokers room. There was mold on the ceiling above the tub. The TV was fuzzy. The fridge didn't keep items cold. The beds themselves were way to hard.

Squeaky beds, broken blinds

The price of the hotel was great and the breakfast was ok, the rooms got cleaned everyday without fail.

I wasn't happy with the location as I was under the impression it was a lot closer to time square also there were not any subways near so had to pay for a bus everyday which was $24 dollars. The staff were ok but not very talkative and I know I paid cheap for the room but you could tell as they were very minamlistic.

I appreciated that there was a shuttle set up to make the commute into NYC so easy. The staff was polite and helpful.

I was in a refurbished room, but there was still a corner with mold in it and water damage. There was blood and toothpaste on my bathroom door the first night. The shuttle service runs ridiculously late.

I was under the impression that a shuttle operated between the Newark Airport and the hotel. I was disappointed that there wasn't any service.

The room is decent: the bed and the bathroom are spacious and clean. The breakfast is included in the price.

The location is everything but convenient. Indeed, you have a shuttle every day, but you have to respect strict hours to leave the hotel on the morning and come back on the evening. Therefore, if you want to watch a show on Broadway or take your time to enjoy ny by night, you have to take a taxi. Yes, there is no other way to reach Howard Johnson on Tonnelle Avenue. Trust me, we have asked everyone everywhere. Moreover, the people in charge of the shuttle are rude and the bus was almost every day 30 minutes late.

I was positively surpriset. Everything was working okay. Breakfast was better than I expected. Friendly staff and the room was clean. Nice, very big beds. The shuttle took us to Manhattan every day and we returned by a bus. Everybody was very friendly.

I can absolutly not find anything good to say about this hotel on my stay.

Book very long time before and pay and then You are shure You will get the badest room they have free when You arriwal.-- This mean If yoy book long time before and pay- they never reed whot You really want, but You get the batest room they have free! The staff absolutly know nothing about to use puplic transportation, but only tell that You can book a taxi--?

The room was clean, the fridge and microwave were very convenient. We liked the complimentary breakfast that was provided. The bus service was okay, a bit chaotic when leaving the city, make sure you get a return ticket but for $10.00 round trip I wouldn't complain too much.

The room with the continental Brackfast the price it was very good.

The only disliked I have, is the urine small at the entrance of the room.

-The cheapest price possible. - Free parking. - I can park my car infront of my room! - Not too far from Manhatten. - From out side, the hotel is horrible, but inside the room, and the bathroom are not bad. - Close to some food plases and gas stations.

- The front desk usually doesn't pick up the phone! - The room smells a little bit, and not clean enough. - Remember you will pay $12 every time you cross the tunnel to manhatten! - The naighborhood of the hotel is dirty and crowded. - We got a free breakfast, but we took it to our room because of crowd at food court!

This is my first time to stay at a place and hate it so much and be sorry for my money because they gave me a room and in the second day I found that there are two mice in my room and when I told them they only gav another room without saying any thing to apologise or at least say a good thing to me for this bad room cleanliness they also did not gave me a same room but a worse one but what should I do I excepted it because I did not have time to find another place. they even did not help me to move my stuff from the old room to the new one. also all the place is full of dirt and mice poops.

Hotel arranges bus to take customers to go between hotel and times square

Nothing. Run by indians which is hard to communicate. Rooms were discusting I stayed in $4 a night hostels in bangkok which smelled nicer and you got a friendler service.

There was a suttle bus into manhattion and the bus driver was ingornant.. Wen we arrived the full boking was charged for our 3 days which im not surprised because once you see the rooms you wont be paying for the rest of the nights. We payed for 3 nights and stayed for 1. we ended up just paying extra money for a better hotel beside times square. Bottom line is this hotel is a con.......do not book

Very welcoming, friendly service, and nice and quiet at night.

The only bad thing was climbing the outside stairs to get to our room, after being out all day. So, the next day. We parked our car at the bottom and drove up at the end of te day. Not too much of an inconvience.

Very friendly and helpful staff comfortable rooms and the motel was ideally placed with a shuttle bus service to and from Manhattan.

I was very disappointed in the motel and room. Everything looked like it had never been upgraded. For example, the carpet, paint, etc. I would have tried to go to another hotel if it had not been so late when we returned from sightseeing in New York and I wasn't sure if there would be an opening somewhere else. I could not breathe in the room and had to use my rescue inhaler numerous times. I developed bronchitis from staying there and had to miss work the following Monday after my stay. The air unit and room were musty and seemed to have lots of dust particles also. I would never stay at this particular place again. This motel was chosen because of previous experiences staying in Howard Johnson's facilities. I would rather pay double the price and not have the health issues I faced after my stay there and would never recommend this particular location to anyone.

Not satisfied at all

Would never stay at this hotel ever again the staff was impolite and the hotel room was dirty and very dark.we booked a smoking room and there were no ash trays went to front desk and was told they dont have any. I had ask for a different room for the second night of our stay and was told that there wasn't any available but went to front lobby for ice later that night and a couple came in and ask if any rooms were available and they were given one.the room wasnt cleaned when we left for the day and had to ask for toilet paper was told that they would bring it and they did almost an hour later! Booking.com is doing a disservice by offering this hotel on thier website.

Service does not exist, did not change cover sheets for 3 days! Bagels are at least 3 days old
