We ended up leaving the hotel and staying somewhere else because the heat was broken in our room. We tried 4 different rooms, all had no heat. It was so cold we ended up going out and buying our own blankets, then just decided to switch hotels altogether and eat the cost (because they would not give us a refund). Do not stay here!!
The good things about the different rims was both nights had smoking rms. The first nite I had everything I asked for. Fridge, microwave, ironing board and hair dryer. The second nite, dif rm, smelled better than 1st rm. I had a very comfortable bed.
I had a smoking room both nights. 1st night the room smelled horrible & the bed was very uncomfortable. The 2nd nite wasn't planned so had to get different room & was on second floor. No ash tray, no fridge/microwave, no ironing board & no hair dryer.
easy access from major roads; Room carpet, walls & most of bathroom looks relatively new (except for tub which was chipped and the nonslip strips were starting to peel off); variety of restaurants nearby; convenient continental breakfast included.
wifi in the rooms was not connected to the internet. When the front desk was told about this, they did not care about correcting it but said the wifi worked for them. When I started to check it, I was told it was a different router! This router was connected to the internet, but had a very limited range - only the lobby area. For all practical purposes, there was not free wifi in the room. The room ran out of facial tissues and the front desk informed me that they did not have any more, but offered a roll of toilet paper instead. Lobby and breakfast area still undergoing construction.
Close to Highway Room
Updated rooms. Clean and comfortable. Great value for the price
Breakfast not ready at 6A.M. Minor delay and not a big problem.
Reliable and consistent quality for a reasonable price.
No hot water. Ran water for 20 minutes no hot water. Complained in person and on the phone. They offered no solution or remuneration.
TV channels WVIT and WTNH had no sound.
I booked a room with two queen beds a month ahead of time for my friends bachelorette party. When we arrived we only had one full bed and there were four of us.The hotel was under construction and fully booked so we could not get another room. The employee at the front desk spoke poor english and was going to charge us $30 for each rollaway bed. I will never stay at this hotel chain again.
Burn holes in all the bedding. Curtians all riped. Bathroom not clean. Room needednuch renovation
Fridge & Microwave in room.
Poor TV picture.
Nothing...would never stay there again, even if it were free.
The place is not sanitary; it's not up to date, no are the facilities kept up. Since they are moderately priced, they must feel they don't have to keep their facility up. They allow pets, so not certain if I was on a bed where a pet may have been. Very shocked and surprised that they are part of Wyhndam!
everything. very good restaurant attached
Rooms were dated but clean, beds were comfortable
Bathroom was patched together No WIFI contrary to what they advertise, I called to the lobby to tell her none of our 3 devices could login, she said her tablet was working fine in the lobby but she would look into it. Nothing happened and we suspect there is just a router displaying a network but not actual internet connection. When we went to the lobby for coffee in the morning, logged into THE SEPERATE LOBBY NETWORK for wifi which, surprise surprise, worked just fine. We rely on wifi when we travel so this was a deal breaker. Lobby area looks like something out of an episode of The First 48. They have a paper sign taped to the wall that says they are renovating, but we're pretty sure that's not true, it just looks that bad. Also if you are relying on "breakfast"you are better off hitting up a gas station on your way out.
The place was under renovation. We were booked in at $75.00 yet it was widely advertised at $49.95 and $5.00 for an extra bed. We didn't stay, and ended up at Quality Inn. Ron King
Stayed at motel 2 years ago when it was Howard Johnsons- needed lots of TLC. A total change. Fresh rooms, new carpet and a totally remodeled bathroom. It appears that renovations continue. I was very impressed with work and also price.
Didn't have a good breakfast They didn't clean the room The place was dirty We were charged more for the room
very little.....quiet; close to exit
so called breakfast; A/C; window; stairs; 3rd rate stalag
They were very nice people
the pool was not open and they lost our reservations! and the building was falling down pretty much! I felt a little unsafe. I dont think we will be going back again next year.
we are non smokers and the only king size bed was in a smoking room that reeked of old cigs the linens and blankets also reeked
close to food and other activitys
the staff was not friendly, should have ice machine on 2nd floor
The location is very convenient. It is just off Interstate 84. The room was clean and comfortable. The Vernon Diner is a few steps away, and serves delicious food. After a long day of driving, we appreciated having a great restaurant next door.
Everything else. I had stayed here the year before with my son, one night, and another night alone (college orientation). Then it was a Howard Johnson and was worse than it is now. Upon arrival my heart sank, I was with my wife and I would never subject her to these conditions. The person at check in stayed that the rooms had been re-furbished. The walls were re-painted, the bathroom wall papered and the carpet was renewed. The furniture was very old, chipped and rough, the bathroom had cracks in the sink, filled-in holes, and some lamps worked and some did not. The linens were dingy looking but worst of all was a mattress that sunk in the middle. Perhaps Days In (or Wyndham) should inspect a "re- furbished" facility before allowing their name to go on, but suffice it to say Days Inn is off my list as long as they can have their name on a true "no-tell motel". At least top sheets weren't an extra charge.
The staff were very nice. My cat was allowed to stay with us for an extra $20 per night, which was great. Our room had a fridge and a microwave.
The room was a great value for the price, but there were a few unpleasant things. The curtains had tears in them, the bedding had cigarette burns, and the bathroom was a little grimey. They didn't clean our room everyday, although they did give us fresh towels each morning.
