The host on duty upon my arrival was very friendly and helpful, especially when I was unable to get the room "key" to work. There was no safety mat for the inside of the shower/tub, so I was unable to take a shower, for fear of slipping/falling.

Very tired facility. Our room #302 had stained worn chairs, the floors and bathroom could have been cleaner. Styrofoam in the breakfast nook. Everything was just as profitable as the owners could make it. We reserved at the Howard Johnson hoping the national chain would be a safer bet than the locally owned motels which didn't look that great. But we would never go back again and were anxious to get out of the room the next morning. Very poor value for $169/night, even with high fall foliage season in mind.

Very tired looking hotel with the rooms dull and dark, the beds had bottom cover protection but these were never fitted properly and made sleeping uncomfortable. Breakfast was poor and not replenished if you were down later

It was inexpensive and close to North Adams and Williamstown. Not real happy with this place. Bathroom smelled like stale urine and the air conditioning buzzed annoyingly even when it wasn't on. We booked it because we figured that with the Howard Johnson's brand that it might not be the lap of luxury, but at least it would be clean and the service friendly. After two nights we asked to be let out of the balance of our stay and the front desk clerk said that the manager had to give permission to give us a refund. It took over 24-hours to arrive at a satisfactory conclusion during which we were first told that we would have to pay for an additional two days (or stay for that time to get our money's worth). Not the most customer-friendly approach in a region that is starved for tourist dollars.

Friendliness of front desk staff. I didn't like the hard beds or that the back of the hotel view looked into some private family home.

La saleté. Les débarbouillettes étaient sales, les couvres-lits, le tapis, la porte... Le personnel. Pas attentif. Donne la mauvaise chambre. Le prix. Trop cher pour ce que nous avons eu.

The most positive thing I can say is that the bed was comfortable. The room did "seem" to be relatively clean. The internet photos were much nicer than how the room actually looked . This is a motel that has not been updated in 15 or more years and it was shabby especially for the price.

Clean room, friendly and professional staff. The remote controller for the TV did not work. The front desk staff was unable to fix it, but was kind enough to deduct %10 from the bill. Neverthleless, it was a bit annoying. Also, the pillows were not especially comfortable.
