Suite room quite spacious.
Incomplete set of towels upon arrival.
dirty room, sagging bed, broken wi-fi during stay
location; clean bathroom
dark room, lights didn't work eel; old carpetl
Stay far away from this place! The halls and room reek from various odors. The wi fi did not work at all! When wen complained to thew management/owner he could have cared less. I will contact Howard Johnson and also stop my charges!!!
The hair drier worked well.
3 dead flies on the rug which itself felt unclean underfoot. The selections in the breakfast bar were limited junk cereal and an apple, orange or banana. The syrup container for the waffle, which was tasty, was totally sticky on all services. My hand came away needing a rinse before I could eat. The charge was very high for the poor experience.
There are benches placed every few rooms so you can sit ourside. Non smoking.
Some guests sat on the outside benches and smoked. Left cigarette butts on concrete around benches. Room rug had many stains.
Can't give a realistic opinion as the whole place was in the midst of an overhaul and it would be unfair to comment on unfinished upgrade.
It was available when we needed it. The breakfast was typical but perfectly adequate for an included breakfast.
The room, and the overall facility, needs to be spruced up. It has been used hard and shows the effect. The rack for hanging clothes was adrift from the wall and only supported by the bracket holding the iron. The atmosphere in the non-smoking room was heavy and the room should be thoroughly aired. The lighting over the table is really garish. The border around the driveway has been broken up, probably by snow plows, and looks quite shabby.
I am not happy to pay twice for accommodation at Howard Johnson Express Inn Williamstown. Entry was made on my Visa card on May 29th for 59 USD.
The room was clean and comfortable.
Location of the room was not that good, off a narrow corridor.
Room was worn down. Stains on bedspread and carpet. Dust on bureau and refrigerator. Did not stay. Booked into different hotel.
This was a convenient location while visiting my daughter at college. The continental breakfast was okay although the jellies were stale and dried up. Howard Johnson is usually a good spot for a reasonably priced short stay.
The room was not as clean as I expected. It did not look like the carpet had been vacuumed in a while. There was cigarette ash on the floor near the bathroom. The bath mat was dirty on one side, possibly a stain.
it was quiet, staff was quick to take care of cleanliness problems
the 6 a.m. wakeup of what sounded like a rodent gnawing on the inside of the dresser, upon moving the dresser a big hole in the wall.
Price and service
Beds were too hard.
Staff was very friendly.
The room had not been updated for many years, and although the furniture, tv and bathroom fixtures were old, they were very clean.
When we arrived, the room was very HOT...it had to have been 85 degrees or hotter. We called the manager and he told us to open the windows which we did....we kept the air conditioner on when we were not in the room....by the 2nd day the room had cooled to a comfortable temperature due to the open windows and ac but when we woke up the second morning it was extremely warm again. The continental breakfast was not very good. The orange juice was very watery.
It was clean. The staff is nice. The bed and mattress were comfortable.
The room was cold when we arrived and it took some time to heat it.
Hotel is old but well kept. Room was good size, location is great and we considered it a great value for the money. We plan on using this hotel in this future.
No draw backs for us
Poor service, TV did not work for 3 of 4 nights and I had to keep reminding them to fix it. Breakfast pastries & bagels were stale had brown bananas when they had them. & Was billed incorrectly.
They at least did allocate us a ground floor room as requested.
“Deeply disappointing . . .” The location is fairly convenient, albeit highly urban. However, we feel fundamentally misled by the online photographs of this motel, since neither the internal nor external ones bore any resemblance to the reality: as we opened the door to our room, our hearts sank . . . it made us shudder, quite literally. The room was dark, drab, dingy, rundown and in desperate need of updating in our opinion. Clearly, it's our view that those photographs couldn't have been this motel, by any stretch of the imagination. We only got one pillow each, and no spare blankets. We also found it very noisy, in particular the room cleaners shouting and grumbling in the morning. To add insult to injury, they wanted to add an extra nightly charge to use the room safe! Our advice: frankly, unless you're absolutely desperate, steer well clear of this very basic and outdated dump!
Convenient location, reasonable room rate, continental breakfast included
Door's dead bolt didn't work properly. Bedding & decor not "fresh" looking or "fresh" feeling. Room heating erratic.
Fairly clean and comfortable
Old furniture, small room, locks did not work, no view from my room.
Rooms were tired & heavy with odour of polish. Furniture basic & scruffy. Noisy till 11.45pm. Breakfasts very basic. Breakfast accommodation basic.
Bed was uncomfortable - furnishings and bathroom were outdated.
