Room shabby, chairs coming apart, bathtub tile grout was moldy black in places (needs bleach cleaning), radio didn't work. Front venetian blind fell down when adjusted.
Location was good and the people were very friendly.
The room was very outdated and smelled of a mint room freshener. The bathroom shower curtain had mildew on it.
A little dated
Rooms were very unkept, old and run down we heard our neighbour all night.
Room was ready before 3pm. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Room service was excellent.
The staff was very professional and courteous.
The room smelled strongly of chemicals, even with the window open. The bathroom smelled like urine. Another person's crumpled towel was left in the bathroom. I was surprised that Booking.com included this motel as an option, because it was so unpleasant.
Rather tired looking, the facility setting (parking lot, buildings, and general ambience) was bleak, and the price rather high for this level of accommodation (should have been around $79). Breakfast was particularly disappointing. Wonder Bread for toast and packets of glue-like jelly. Cereal choice very limited. Coffee mediocre.
The staff was very nice and the rooms were very comfortable! Well worth the change in interary to stay there. It was a great place to stay!
The staff was very nice and accommodating. The continental breakfast was good. I liked the benches outside the door to sit and relax watching the mountain views.
Kitchen area was too small
Location in Williamstown is convenient to college - but it's a small town anyway.
Service, price, value for money. Arrived at 10:30 after long day. Desk clerk said, "be right with you" as he proceeded to do God knows what on the computer. Phone rings, he answers - I'm still standing there. Has lengthy conversation about room availability and price - I'm still standing there. Hangs up phone, begins check in process. Phone rings again - he stops checking me in to answer. Another lengthy conversation with previous caller who's trying to negotiate price. I'm still standing there. Get the picture? Plus, rate was $160 a night for a HOWARD JOHNSONS PEOPLE! I'm not a snob - but this isn't even close to a $100/night location. But you take what you can get. Will try never to return. Was reasonably clean - that's the best I can say.
The credit card that was used to book this hotel was debited for the cost of the room. When I arrived at the hotel I was told the card had not been debited and I had to pay. I had a different card with me at the time and paid. When I got home 3 wks later I discovered the problem!
Night manager very helpful
Staff very pleasant. Beautiful location. A bit dated but suits it's purpose
Suite room quite spacious.
Incomplete set of towels upon arrival.
dirty room, sagging bed, broken wi-fi during stay
location; clean bathroom
dark room, lights didn't work eel; old carpetl
Stay far away from this place! The halls and room reek from various odors. The wi fi did not work at all! When wen complained to thew management/owner he could have cared less. I will contact Howard Johnson and also stop my charges!!!
The hair drier worked well.
3 dead flies on the rug which itself felt unclean underfoot. The selections in the breakfast bar were limited junk cereal and an apple, orange or banana. The syrup container for the waffle, which was tasty, was totally sticky on all services. My hand came away needing a rinse before I could eat. The charge was very high for the poor experience.
There are benches placed every few rooms so you can sit ourside. Non smoking.
Some guests sat on the outside benches and smoked. Left cigarette butts on concrete around benches. Room rug had many stains.
Can't give a realistic opinion as the whole place was in the midst of an overhaul and it would be unfair to comment on unfinished upgrade.
It was available when we needed it. The breakfast was typical but perfectly adequate for an included breakfast.
The room, and the overall facility, needs to be spruced up. It has been used hard and shows the effect. The rack for hanging clothes was adrift from the wall and only supported by the bracket holding the iron. The atmosphere in the non-smoking room was heavy and the room should be thoroughly aired. The lighting over the table is really garish. The border around the driveway has been broken up, probably by snow plows, and looks quite shabby.
I am not happy to pay twice for accommodation at Howard Johnson Express Inn Williamstown. Entry was made on my Visa card on May 29th for 59 USD.
The room was clean and comfortable.
Location of the room was not that good, off a narrow corridor.
Room was worn down. Stains on bedspread and carpet. Dust on bureau and refrigerator. Did not stay. Booked into different hotel.
