The hotel didn't even appear to be open. The sign was low to the ground and not lit - the lobby was dimly lit and the bar behind the lobby was black. The outside did not have much lighting - it was an unsafe environment and I felt we were put in jeopardy. The entrance we were told to drive to was not lit and there were absolutely no cars around. We drove back to the main entrance and walked dimly lit corridors and 3 flights of stairs as the elevator did not work. Worse experience ever.
bad area - lots of people hanging out outside. We will not go back.
We immediately reported that our non-smoking room had a strong smell of stale tobacco smoke and were told that no other rooms were available. Although reasonably clean, the room and hotel in general seemed dark and dingy. We will not stay there again.
The room was spacious and absolutely spotless. The breakfast room was delightful and the food appetizing and well served - friendly, pleasant woman in charge,
Howard Johnson is one floor - 4th. The bottom 3 floors are owned by the City of Holyoke and used to house city residents.
People hanging outside in parking lot all hours of the day and night scary to go outside when u have dozen or so younger crowds hanging out in a crowd kinda loud too need a bit of security outside not too happy didnt feel safe and wouldn't go out to my car alone either!!!
Breakfast was just right
False alarm going off
The ability to bring our dog and it was clean
It's very close to the highway. Very quiet and the free continental breakfast was a nice surprise...
There was a little mess, left behind by accident in the room, behind the bed... but overall cleanliness was great
No complimentary breakfast as advertised.
Hot water, Free Wifi, Quiet, Good location. low toilets
Shower water pressure not strong enough
Room had no blow dryer on the first floor. The night shift lady is never at the front desk had to wait 30 minutes for her. Very annoying.
location: near Dunkin Donuts and Cracker Barrel and bar to watch Bruins game down the street. Close to HCC for our basketball games.
having to use the slow elevator fitness center had no free weights. Fitness center was disappointing.
It was clean, quiet, comfortable, a good location off the Mass Pike and a great value. I recommend it for travelers needing a rest stop. No surprises - besides it fully living up to its promise.
Very nice hotel for a very good deal . Only 15mins to downtown springfield . Vey quiet at night. Staff was nice i stayed for four days no problem . Would recommend to anyone . And would definitely stay again .
The smell from the chlorine was really strong in the corridor. The room was clean and comfortable. The attendent wasn't really knowledgable about the channels, but was really nice and brought me cups to my room for ice. FYI: You all would do a big service to your hotel by providing information such as housing rental magazines and local attractions. I am considering relocating and was unable to find any information. Overall, I would stay there again.
The smell of chlorine in the corridor, channel selections and lack of information for tourists. I didn't need Vermont info, I needed Massachusetts info, especially Western Mass.
great value for such a great room.
