I've spent more staying at a Hilton—the law of diminishing returns comes to mind. Sleep Inn was perfect. Great location, comfortable bed, friendly staff—what more could you ask for? Me and my girl had a lot of fun.
The wifi was inconsistent and often slow. Not a dealbreaker for me at all. Was difficult to operate shower (turning from bath to shower is easy if you know the trick).
I was very satisfied with the size, color and decor of my room. Cleaning staff and front-desk personnel were extremely attentive and helpful. Hotel was four blocks from F Train, which helped me tremendously. Would come back again in a heartbeat.
Hotel needs better seating space for continental breakfast. Also, I was not a fan of the coffee in the room.
Location is just couple of blocks from subway and some good restaurants are not too far away. Breakfast is included everyday.
You have to pay for the parking , $25, everyday.
It's near a train station and not so many far from Times Square ..The price is good and I will stay here again
I didn't like the bathroom, there is no space to place things such as toothbrush, shave cream and stuff and breakfast should have more options, it was the same all the days that I stay
I am staying now at the nearby Four Points by Sheraton, and though a level down, this particular Sleep Inn I realize now was much better. The bed was comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast was excellent - you get much more than just bread and cereal. Heater worked well, carpet may need some cleaning. To newbie travelers, don't be intimidated by the neighborhood. Subway is a three-minute walk away. Ample street parking. Friendly and accommodating staff.
Not much - it exceeded the expectations of a two-star hotel.
Room is okay, close to metro.
- Neighbourhood isn't the best around. - We were woken up in the morning by the maid around 9 am; she wanted to clean the room. When we got back to the hotel the room however still wasn't cleaned yet (4:30 pm). Bad service, especially because the staff did not apologize in any way.
If you're looking for somewhere to sleep that is much cheaper than Manhattan, this hotel was clean and friendly. It was also only a block from the subway and right across the bridge from Manhattan.
The location is very near to subway station, and the envirement is safe and quiet.
Before chosing Sleep Inn I have read almost all comments available about this place, so I knew what I can expect. I was not disapointed with the comments and what I found out by myself. Great location, good value for money, area ok, different from Manhattan, room clean, beds comfortable, wifi available. The breakfast area has been increased so there were not lines to get breakfast.
I would like to have on breakfast more various selection of food. We spent a week there and every morning was exactly the same breakfast. I suggest to add something else on weekends- for instance sliced chesse and some vegetables.
The location was great since I lived on Roosevelt Island, So I was able friends& family quickly. Also transportation was very close easy to get into the city. Staff was very polite an attentive to our needs. You see not all NYKr are impatient!!
I wish parking was included in the quote. And the mattress could've been a little firmer.
I indeed was blown away by the attitude of the staff. They were courteous, and solved my issues that wasn't even affecting them. Kumar and Ravi particularly.
Staff were great! Bed was comfortable, plenty of towels, all was clean and room was quiet. Located a few blocks from the train so very convenient to get to Manhattan. Staff knows a great cab service too! Secret to the shower??? Look for the gold ring on the faucet and pull down!! Located in older area, but don't let that discourage you! Never felt unsafe. Great view of Queensboro Bridge!
Nothing! Stay was great!
strict check out time at 11 to 12 pm maximum, they threat me they will charge me one more day if I did not!!
Clean, bathroom in good condition.
The bedroom had a bit of a smell. I would have appreciated if the window could have opened a little bit. The size of the room and the smell made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I would have prefer a hardest mattress.
everything yassmin and the other staff members are great
breakfat eggs should be fried not scrambled. change the sausage to bacon parking please
The room is good. Staff are very helpful always willing to please. Yasmin in the breakfast room is always smiling and attentive always on hand to meet one's needs. Excellent member of staff always willing to satisfy the guests needs.
The breakfast room is too small for the hotel capacity. It was always packed sometimes having to wait for a table to eat at. There was only one menu for breakfast everyday no change. This needs to be reviewed. Hotel needs to consider providing airport shuttle like other local hotels this will be good
couldnt get ice .. machine was out of order or something though i didnt ask the staff for help
the secound I arrived,, they charged my card. and I said I pay by cash, when they refunded my card payment, I lost a lot of money for no reason. They should be ashamed of themselves. Make sure you do not fall into this disgusting trap like me.
Finally we found a great base for our visiting N.Y.C. Will definitely stay there again
The breakfast place is getting very crowdwd at times. Also, we were warned it was a "black neighbourhood" - but honestly: We could not have felt safer.
Great value for money. Great location. Great staffs.
Bad odor in the room. Breakfast was so-so, the taste was bad.
The location is excellent - very close to the subway station and a quick subway ride into Manhattan. Great value for money and very helpful staff.
We didn't have a view out of our window (it looked straight into the neighbouring hotel). The rooms at the front of the hotel have views over Manhattan - it's worth asking for one of those rooms.
Location just across East river from Manhattan, 2min walk to subway Large ensuite rooms, just right! Way cheaper than Manhattan notels, and just a subway stop away from Manhattan!
I spent 2 days in NY and didn't want to spend time in subway, for which this hotel is a good choice. It's just 3 min. walking distance to subway station and a few stations to reach Manhattan Midtown, where most points of interest are located (Times Square, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, ...). The comfort of room was more than satisfactory to spend a night. From rooms oriented west there is a nice view of Manhattan skyline.
Still find the price quite high.
Next to the station metro . close to manhatan. Wi.fi
Plastic plates and forks in breakfast.
