the secound I arrived,, they charged my card. and I said I pay by cash, when they refunded my card payment, I lost a lot of money for no reason. They should be ashamed of themselves. Make sure you do not fall into this disgusting trap like me.
Finally we found a great base for our visiting N.Y.C. Will definitely stay there again
The breakfast place is getting very crowdwd at times. Also, we were warned it was a "black neighbourhood" - but honestly: We could not have felt safer.
Great value for money. Great location. Great staffs.
Bad odor in the room. Breakfast was so-so, the taste was bad.
The location is excellent - very close to the subway station and a quick subway ride into Manhattan. Great value for money and very helpful staff.
We didn't have a view out of our window (it looked straight into the neighbouring hotel). The rooms at the front of the hotel have views over Manhattan - it's worth asking for one of those rooms.
Location just across East river from Manhattan, 2min walk to subway Large ensuite rooms, just right! Way cheaper than Manhattan notels, and just a subway stop away from Manhattan!
I spent 2 days in NY and didn't want to spend time in subway, for which this hotel is a good choice. It's just 3 min. walking distance to subway station and a few stations to reach Manhattan Midtown, where most points of interest are located (Times Square, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, ...). The comfort of room was more than satisfactory to spend a night. From rooms oriented west there is a nice view of Manhattan skyline.
Still find the price quite high.
Next to the station metro . close to manhatan. Wi.fi
Plastic plates and forks in breakfast.
Close to Laguardia, friendly, helpful staff, well appointed room, close to subway
Room was freezing when I arrived, water was brown in tub, elevator usually took awhile, breakfast was underwhelming
The staff was exceptionally helpful and did everything possible to make our stay a good one. The proximity to the subway station was a big plus. The room was small but clean and comfy.
Very close to the subway, only 3 stops away from Manhattan. Big, very comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. Free tea or coffee in the room. Strong, free wi - fi. Breakfast o.k. Computer availability. The staff was helpul, especially Mr Ravie.
Kind of a rough neighborhood, we were a little bit scaring to come back late at nigght. Breakfast was the same every day and had not enough space in breakfast room. Room was not very clean and the third day of our stay, we returned and our room had not been serviced at all. Even i complained to the staff three times, no one changed our bed sheets for seven nights we stayed there.
The working stuff is very friendly and always willing to help. Especially the ladies preparing the breakfast (Jasmin and Sultana) take care of every customer. the hotel generally is good and clean. Very close to subway making easy the access to Manhattan.
Perfect location, only ten minutes to Manhatten by subway, very friendly and helpful staff, nice and comfortable room
Great location. On site parking. Friendly staff.
Amazing hotel and staff, really good breakfast facilities, close to subway and city center.
nothing was to dislike for
The hotel is about 4 blocks away from a subway stop. Breakfast was very good with many selections. The beds were very comfortable and the wi-fi did not give us any problems. There was limited parking available at the hotel for a fee, but it was very convenient.
The area does not have restaurants nearby.
- The staffs were mostly nice. - The bed is very comfortable - The room is fairly clean - Great breakfast included - Great location (close to F line, Queensbridge station).
- There are some moldy spots in the washroom - The ventilation in the bathroom doesn't work very well - The hotel charges $1/ luggage to store the luggage if we pick up the luggage after we checked out
Good location at the quite place with the nearest metro walk about 5 minutes to the hotel. Clean and tidy room having a reasonable price. Helpful staff make us more convenient.
Hotel is very close to the under ground and only a few stops on the train and you are in Manhattan. We felt very safe walking the short distance from the train to the hotel and would certainly recommend it to others who are on a budget.
We did not like much of anything. The staff in the breakfast room were nice and doing their best they could.
The night staff when we arrived were fine in providing info. We went to find a restaurant and no thanks, you will not find a nice restaurant in the area. The area is industrial with appears to be project housing. We ordered pizza ad gave the leftovers to the girl on the Front Desk. To find a decent restaurant you need to get to Manhattan, their breakfast room is tiny to accommodate the number of people, the eggs and sausage truly are not appetizing. Coffee is good, had yogurt, a small danish and a piece of fruit. It is located 2 blocks from the Subway, of course, when we were there our line got shut down for maintenance, lucky us. We had to hoof it approx 10 blocks in the dark in a seedy area. Lighting was very poor in our room, my bed made such horrible sounds I called and asked if we could change rooms since my bed made horrible sounds, I was told they are all the same and they would get back to me, they never did. Continual problem with the linens, not enough facecloths, we are two ladies, we wanted one each, at times we were left none, their pictures are misleading online, our bathroom had no counter for toiletries, the toilet tank and the sink are sloped (curvature) so you cannot set anything out on them without them falling off. The third day we returned and our room had not been serviced, told it was our fault because of the green tag hanging on the door, it was on the door when we arrived, the tag says to stick it into the doorlock if you do not wish to be disturbed, we did not do that, called and all they did was bring us some towels and facecloths. I talked to the front desk in person and not once did the person identify herself as the Manager, our rate had been changed from what was quoted on our confirmation, ridiculous. We booked for 5 nights, our first night did not arrive until after 6 p.m., so obviously did not go anywhere, trying to pack in as much as possible, we would leave early in the a.m. and return later in the evening.
It was my first time there and it was a short trip from the West Coast. Hotel was nice and clean. Short distance to subway.
The area wasn't the safest, but I'm sure it wasn't the worst either.
Close to the subway, 5 min walking. Great amenities for a reasonable price.
Crowded breakfast and weak wifi signal in the room.
Breakfast was good
Can hear everything outside the rooms.
close to subway, quite good breakfast, wifi works fine, very kind manager of the hotel, nice Manhattan view
too small area available for breakfast, you have to wait for table
We enjoyed our days in this hotel. The location and the services are very good!
