The hostess at the front desk was very friendly, unfortunately, she could not assist with all the issues this Howard Johnson has.

Advertisement on line is not even close to the condition of the hotel. The pool was out of service and looked like it has been for a Long Time. The facilities were sad, nothing was clean. I was affraid to stay there. We had a 3 night reservation and left after night one. Only because it was late and the front desk staff was very nice. This place may need a health and welfare check, soon.

It was unclean, parking lot dark, rooms very dirty, headboard was off the wall behind the bed, the floor was dirty, the sheets were dirty, there was a smoking burn in the comforter. My cildren were unsettled to stay there. We had two nights and only stayed one. Will never stay again.!!!!!

The pool was closed. The breakfast was the worst. And the building was falling a part.

The value for money was great. The staff was nice. Everything was very smooth at the hotel.

The phone rang at 5 in the morning every night. It was probably an alarm of some sort.

There was sperm stains on the floor, the microwave was taped up. The bathroom toilet leaked all night, also the bathroom light buzzed like I was in a mental hospital, the rooms smelled like death, the phones said the wrong room numbers on them so you would call the wrong room, the door doesn't seal all the way. Overal it was scarier then the baits motel.

Check in was quick. Is that good enough?

Breakfast Selection was ... Pathetic. Room not so clean, old looking rooms. Pool closed bc it did not meet cleanliness standards for Florida.

The room we stayed smelled I asked for non-smoking room but I believe it was a smoking room, the bathroom was terrible there was pubic hair in the tub and on the shower walls. I had to clean the tub before I even took a shower. The water facets fixture in the bathroom were very loose. Had it not been we had been on the road for 8 hours and tired I would have cancelled and gone somewhere else. It took us 30 minutes to get the tv to work. By far this is the most nastiest room I've stayed in.

Had I been going to Jacksonville for a vacation or to just get away from everything and relax, I would never book a place here to stay. I would find a hotel where I wouldn't have to fight to turn the shower on.

Staff is excellent, above and beyond to ensure you have what you need. Great Beds, clean clean rooms. I have stayed before and will stay again.

Excellent staff

Howard Johnson staff demostrated a poor level of customer service. The level of training with the staff and experience while a customer was not memorable. The T.V. was blurred and out of date, room service had to be called on several occasions just to get towels and the overall appeal of the hotel was a shack and should have been a hotel on the side of the road for maybe truckers and not near business places. Im never going to shop with booking.com again. I trusted there opinion and overall selection for a hotel to be in there line-up. Howard Johnson without a doubt brings down the appeal of booking.com. Booking.com will not survive as a company with these types of hotels in roster.

Hotel, was in the middle of nowhere, rooms were filthy, my duvet cover had a burn right in the centre of it. Mattresses were far too soft, and when one of the beds were sat on the legs gave way.

30 minute wait to check-in. Desk clerk kept leaving to check on rooms. Cleaning staff burst into room. Had no towels. Toilet clapper was disintegrated and leaked.

In general, we like it

Got a great deal for a week's stay. Really pleased with hotel as good location for access to Jacksonville beach, Ponte Vedra and downtown. Double queen room was clean and pretty quiet with very comfortable king bed. The continental breakfast added extra value to our stay with a variety of morning food and drink. A nice enough location, within driving distance of several restaurants and shops

Swimming pool was a bit disappointing and not that inviting. Breakfast hours were between 6-9am so quite early for people on a break. Aimed more at business people staying there, but made sure we were up nice an early for the day ahead

For my trip it was perfect. Quiet, clean, inexpensive. Bed was comfortable. Swimming pool was good. Coffee was very good in the morning. Staff was great.

Hotel is older so it will have what older hotels will have at times. Ac unit stopped working but they repaired it quickly.

The price only

It was not very clean. The Shower have dirty curtin, there was mold in the shower, and other stains.

I booked a smoking room and didn't get one. The desk lady brought up a key so we could move, but we had already unpacked. Also, many choices at breakfast were not available when we were there.

The desk clerk was extremely hopeful with directions. Virginia was her name.
