Near the airport, the service was great...

Not too much at, the remote on the TV didnt work and the list had issues, but minor issues for me. ..

The free and convenient airport shuttle service to the Newark International Airport ever 15 minutes from which you can take a train into Manhattan. I would often stop at the little restaurant in the evenings inside the hotel to have a bite to eat, which I was greatful for being open late!

Flood light outside the window came on during the night was so bright and the curtains would not close to block it out. Wake up to think it was morning it was so bright in the room. And ask for a receipt and was told he would email me one later that day and now 3 days later no receipt.

The rooms are really good, also the bed was really comfortable.

The staff was really really bad, they were not friendly, not willing to help, and spoke English poorly. They even get angry when I asked for a receipt. We also had to pay to store our luggage their for 5 hours, which should be a normal service to our opinion.

No frills, 5 min from airport, great value!

Wi-fi service was horrible. I even saw a guest in the hallway with his Ipad trying to get a signal.

Nowhere to leave your luggage when you've checked out and waiting for your flight 6 hours later. Not Bar

The price. The spacious room. It was clean and comfortable.

- The $15 fee to park in the hotel lot!! It isn't mentioned when you book the room and that great deal is now a little less great. - One person in the Ambrosia Restaurant works as cashier and waiter for the whole place so service is very slow at breakfast. The waiter isn't slow...just too many things to keep up with. The food is "ok". - The waiter doesn't mention they have already figured in a 15% tip when they give you the bill (or tell you what it is when you finally have to go ask for it). I am sure that ends up with them getting extra cash. Sneaky. - The hotel is next to impossible to find. If you do spy it from the road good luck getting to it without a GPS. - The planes are coming in for a landing over the hotel and you will hear them....they are loud.

The cafe was adaquate, food was good( no other choice). The shuttle to the airport was dependable but not regular per their schedule.

Location is in an industrial area, not within walking distance to anything. public transit available only by going to the airport. The sink was broken and repaired with caulking compound, bathtub edge broken and not repaired. the emergency phone in the elevator was hanging by the wires. This hotel was not what I expected from a Howard Johnson.

The nicest and or friendliest person was the attendant manning the parking lot station.

I paid $70 per night, upon arrival a giant banner was posted staTING $49.95 per night! To get to anywhere other than the hotel you must get on the freeway and then back off, there is no back road or arterial rode to the hotel Altough non smoking the room smelled so bad we ended up getting airfreshners and deodorizers The matress had bed bug bags on the box spring and matress??? Sounds like they had an issue there. Early check in was $35 even though the room was ready and then upon check out they asked from across the room our room # and said ok your done..... did not offer a receipt so I had ro ask and did not ask if we enjoyed our stay.

It's not to far from NYC and it's very close from the outlets

The room smelled like pee...also the windows don't have any mosquito screen on the windows so couldn't open it safely ,the AC smelled like mold.when made the reservation breakfast & parking were included then when we got there it wasn't! WTH?

the beds were to hard, the one male front desk clerk was rude and unprofessional, i dont like that i have to pay for parking while i already paid almost 500 to stay there..

The hotel was a cheap, convenient option for Newark airport. Facilities were adequate for the price and we had a comfortable stay.

Our stay was somewhat overshadowed by the airport shuttle bus (one of the main reasons for choosing the hotel) running out of gas on the motorway on the way to the airport at 5:30am. We were stranded on the hard shoulder of the extremely busy road with no way of getting to the airport! This shouldn't really happen on a service that guests are relying upon and its failure could have costly consequences. The driver, whilst genuinely apologetic, did not really have a strategy in place to deal with the situation - did not know what to do and had difficulties contacting the hotel on an inadequate old phone. When he (and other passengers) established contact with reception, the staff did not seem overly concerned and the situation was only solved by another shuttle bus from a different hotel stopping to pick us up. Very stressful and probably rather dangerous! Just grateful it worked out ok in the end but not very impressed at all!

It serves it's purpose.. Late night arrival at ewr - Howard Johnson is quick/ easy-1mile from the departure terminal for my 5am flight usair- a comp'd shuttle runs every 30min.(tip driver :) . Clean bed for a quick night rest

The Philly cheese steak wasn't the greatest- fries were good- all in all - just thankful to have hot food after traveling 18 hrs from germany

Good place to stay first night after a long flight. Descent restaurant.

No bar at the hotel and not in the surrounding areas. Be prepaired to stick with coke :)

Nothing, paying to park at a place your paying to stay is stupid and I ll never stay at a hojos again

Everything, the price of the low end food was nuts. I had 3 different rooms on this trip and all 3 had things wrong with them. They were dirty
