Score from 372 reviews Good
Convenient to port and pick up from newark Airport.
Needs cleaning up around entrance.
Food at the restaurant is good! And so were the servers that I have encountered. Housekeeping staffs were nice.
Room I stayed in was dirty. Had to tell housekeeping to vacuum and towel changed because some were damp. A/c need to be cleaned when I turned it on it smelled like pee. So did the bathroom, needs to be sanitized, floor, walls and shower head.
A place to sleep
Shop items as well as there restaurant were expensive
4am airport shuttle was fast (5 minutes) and on schedule
Arriving about 10pm to just miss the HoJo shuttle and then wait about 70 minutes for the next one (by contrast the other airport hotels seemed to arrive every 10-15 minutes)
Rooms were big enough. Paid Shuttle service to NYC is good but when I booked online they never mentioned that it's paid. But $25 two way to NYC is awesome deal.
The bathtub sink was not draining, but the maintenance guy quickly fixed it. The hotel doesn't have nearby (walking distance) public transportation like bus.
The carpet is very old n uneven which could be cause for serious falls. The carpet looked very dirty. The carpet outside the room on the hallway has stain of vomit. The radiator was very dusty especially my husband just got out of hospital with severe asthma so dust is very dangerous. We just did not turn the heater or cooler so the dust will not fly away in the room and we would be breathing all these dusts. The small microwave cannot be adjusted as far as the clock. It work minimally. The cafe is very poor. Food unacceptable. The waiter was not attentive to his customers. Have to get his attention for everything we need, like more cream etc.
Shuttle to airport
Dirty and shabby. Sheets were dirty. Front desk couldn't find housekeeping. We had to change sheets ourselves. Room was gross.
Close to airport fur early morning flight, and readonsd price
Off hand staff manner
Shuttle bus driver was very friendly and helpful to me and my bicycle.
Arrived early to first be told it is 35 dollars to check in early, within 5 minutes this fee had changed to 20. The woman at checkin was rude and unwilling to answer any questions we asked, she ignored us twice. When we came back to check in at a later time the man on the desk was on the phone while we checked in and again was ignorin us. The shuttle that picked us up from Newark, the driver again was ignorant. Would not recommend to others!
Shuttle to airport every half hour. Only takes a few minutes.
Telephone queries about guests are not intimated.
Handy if you must be near the airport.
Room smelled on cigarette smoke and we asked to be moved to another.
Location, 'urine-like' odor/smell in room, noisy ac, uncomfortable hard/firm bed, dirty comforter, mold in bathroom, water damage on ceiling, cost of parking in lot, uncleanliness in room and common spaces, low shower head. The cost of a room should never be directly associated to overall cleanliness and proper maintenance.
The front End people
The service in rhe rwstaurant. They were not friendly
-Airport shuttle! -Great place if you need to be near airport -Very good place if you want to visit mall (Jersey Gardens) -Rooms are ok
-Dark rooms -Gym is useless -Only Credit Card payment -There is nothing around. You can't buy anything, even bread or beer. -You need to pay 25$ to go to manhattan and back - for two persons it is 50$, you can easly find some hotel on manhattan for that extra 50$...
The price was good compared to other hotels.
The shuttel service to and from airport was slow. The bed was very firm.
.the elevator is terrible..it was broken so i carried my two heavy luggages walking down step by step from stairs...
Everything else: quality of the bar, noise, poor quality of the public computer, staff, location, large room but not very clean, staff of the hotel bus asking improper question to custumers
close to airport, large rooms, pleasant receptioness. Helped us book a great New York tour
Terrible rude treatment by shuttle driver (early morning of Sept 6). He took us to basically baggage claim area, when asked to go to delta gate of departure he said he would for $10.00. Very rude man!!!!!
Cleanliness Shuttle Service Gift Shop Health Club Restuarant
airport shuttle was nice
was injured by a piece that broke off the luggage cart and spent the night in the ER removing a piece from my leg. hotel staff couldn't have been less helpful. they will end up paying for the hospital bill after a big hassle. recommend anyone to chose a different hotel.
