Howard Johnson Portland Airport    

Breakfast was better than most hotels on our trip. It was especially nice to have real food like boiled eggs.

Difficult to find the hotel itself but once we found it the placement of the swimming pool made it difficult to figure out where to pak for ease in moving luggage to navigate to our room. The traffic flow was also cut off and doors with access to hallways were not labeled with room numbers.

The bike that I had brought to the Howard Johnson had the tire and seat stolen from it while locked to a fence right outside the room. It is a shame the safety of the facility is so poor. I do not feel safe bringing anything of value to this company's hotel and obviously regret my stay.

proximity to PDX airport. Shuttle at 4AM. Convenience. Desk staff did offer to upgrade me to larger room for free. I declined.

The staff was amazing in taking care of our needs and very friendly. They were at the airport within ten minutes to pick us up and very kind:) I did like the balcony, if I were there longer I could see myself using that with a good book.

Jacuzzi tub wasn't hooked up to work. Really disappointing :( but I'm sure - if I asked- they would've giving me a different room if I noticed it the night before... and there isn't an elevator, makes it difficult with luggage.

It was clean, in a good location for my needs and the people were friendly. I liked the breakfast.

The year round swimming pool was my main reason for picking this motel. Can you say false advertising. It is seasonal. Also the rooms are small. It is good for one person. Two people kind of bump into each other

No wheat/brown break and healthy choices. NO Fruits too.

Very good value for the money. The room was quite adequate for the night before my flight.

the shuttle service was great. not only did they pick us up from the airport they also took us to and picked us up from the metro station that takes us downtown. the staff was also really friendly. we had an early flight to catch in the morning and they prepared a goody bag with food for us to take.

the heater wasn't the best, took a while for the room to get warm.

The lady in the office was very nice and gave us some food to take since we left at 4:00am and the breakfast wasn't out yet.

The room was very small and the bedspread seemed icky. My husband removed it before hi would go to bed.

Its HJ, so cant complain and we had a pleasant stay throughout. Everything was comfortable, including the bed.

I didn't like the outside entrances. My room was around the corner in the back and I had to pass garbage strewn on the ground outside the dumpster. There were holes in the bed spread and the towels were rough.

I was cheated out of the 42$ day+tax. I was told I would get. The man made my dad pay 55$ day+tax. He told him he couldn't have the room if he didn't pay. The reservation was non refundable. He bullied my father into giving a dep. besides the room charges. When I joined him 3days later he tells me what the man did. I go to straiten it out. The young girl behind the desk is rude. She didn't care if we lived or died. I can't show the 42. on the internet. the days had gone by. But I had the hotel discount coupons. and they are 45. a day. you have best price guarantee. she says no. read the fine print. I am putting this on the internet for everyone to see. I have prepared a letter to Howard Johnsons corp. and I am sending a copy to the bbb. as well. You can read all about it when you get your copy. every morning the biscuts were hard as rocks on the bottom. the food ran out and was not replaced. Dad said the first day the gravy was cold. There was no milk for the cereal. No chocolate in the hot chocolate machine. The donuts were gone. They were informed at 800 and didn't bring anything till 850 and they stop at 900. He only brought milk. Everyday the same thing. waffle's are eggo's toasted. This happens everyday. They are not keeping the grounds clean. There was a large box in the corrider. with trash in it all week. The are overflowing.

The room.smelled like smoke even though it was non smoking. It was dirty the heater was filthy and the door chain was barely on looked like it had been previous broke into.. Bad part of town and huge bangs upstairs like someone was getting beat up all night. Scared to death never slept!!

Nice young lady picked us up at the airport at midnight. She arrived promptly and helped with luggage. The desk people were equally pleasant.
