Too much air freshner in hallway to our room (216)
At check in, we did not receive the type of rooms requested. I informed Arvin at the front desk of our confirmation. He immediately took care of the problem, and made us very happy.

Staff was very kind and attentive. The location was great! The room was comfortable for our family. Breakfast was good.

Parking can be a pain.
The staff were amazing and anything we needed they helped out the best they could. It was an amazing stay.

This place seems to be short term living for people without a home rather than a hotel. There is trash left out for days, a mattress in the hallway, it smells bad, the floors and walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from other rooms, the floors are super squeaky, and it is not a pleasant experience. We were in town for 6 nights for a conference and everything else was booked so we didn't have another choice.

Staff were rude
I liked the location
April 15, 2015
The rooms (non smoking) smell funny, located in a sketchy area with sketchy people hanging out in the parking lot with broken class from car windows. The walls are paper thin, I could hear the people next door talking the whole time I was in the shower (where there was a long black hair hanging from the shower head). The towels were like sand paper. Will definitely not return
Free WiFi is the best thing I cab say.

We had to find a place with very little notice, and his Howard Johnson had space available.
April 12, 2015
The hot breakfast is a joke. The breakfast is not maintained unless a guest tells them and then it takes a long time for it to be resolved. In need of much maintenance.

could not go to sleep in the midnight
April 11, 2015
it would be nice to have the cream, sugar, sweet-n-low in the room with the coffee pot.
good value for the money in a good location with clean rooms.

The only bad thing is they added about $7 in tax and didn't really explain what I was getting taxed on
I liked the fact that everything went smoothly from check in to check out...no problems at all

Right across the street from the Grotto.
March 30, 2015
The hallways seemed a little dingy, like moisture was a problem, though the room itself was quite neat and clean.
The shuttle driver who picked me up at the airport and the one who dropped me off at the MAX rail were courteous and helpful. I appreciated that breakfast included pre-peeled, hard-boiled eggs and fruit. I slept like a log on a comfortable bed in a quiet, comfortable room.
March 29, 2015
The only suggestion is that the smell of air freshener in the halls and rooms was not please and was way too strong and gave me a headache. Also the property could use some TLC and fixing up.

When we checked in we were told our reservation was charged a No Show and was billed on my Amex. Apparently, the mistake was realized and our reservation was re-booked again. However, my Amex was not credited back! Which seemed nonsensical, however front desk reversed the charge and gave us a suite to make up for the inconvenience. On our first day in the room a baby cockroach was found crawling around on the bathroom floor, which was not pleasent.
The staff were helpful and the bed was comfortable.

In general poorly maintained hotel hopefully the owner not a white man
March 24, 2015
You didnt have enough channels to pick from.
March 21, 2015
I think the person staying in the room down from us was a drug dealer? And there was a wasps nest outside our window, located in the deteriorating sophet and siding. No screen on the window to keep those out. The maids did a good job of polishing the turd though. The inside was kept up, and the bed was comfy.
It was about what I'd expect for the price I paid...

Parking lot was busy but found parking spot not too far from room when we returned after the show. Only things; the heat system seemed a bit weird. Perhaps needs upgrading. It was either OFF option or full blast HOT. We did not see a thermostat. We turned it on before we went to bed then off after we got under covers but room was freezing in AM or when we had to use toilet at night. Hopefully they will get that fixed. I had some issues with wifi both on phone and tablet - very slow - although my friend didn't have issues with her phone. I gave up. Also bathroom could use vents. We had our own air freshener :) Still a great deal on room, less than $40. each.
Clean, spacious 2 queen beds, private patio with chairs. Refrigerator and microwave with coffee, cream and sugar. Older model tv but who cares? Channels came in fine. Ground floor. Above guests had children, up at 4AM ceiling creaks but why we also travel with ear plugs and white noise apps on our phones. Hot shower, good pressure in the morning.
March 20, 2015
I hated that the hotel didn't have an elevator and I had to carry my heavy bag to the second floor. The TV picture wasn't clear.
Free shuttle to the airport, free Wifi, I left at 4:00 am so they prepared a breakfast bag for me, my room had a patio, the staff were very friendly
March 18, 2015
The walls were too thin. We could hear the people next door and the moving of people above us. Breakfast was not as expected. It was really nothing except cerea and some bread and waffles.
The price was reasonable. It was clean and the staff was friendly.
March 15, 2015
Bed was very firm for us, bath fan out of order, bath door in need of repair.
Friendly staff, continental breakfast, discount @ on site indian buffet, ample free parking for our trailer. Our second time here. We will be back, but wouldn't recommend to our friends that are accustomed to more luxurious accommodations. A bit run down, but it looked like they are attempting to refurbish. Carpet seemed new and I saw boxes in the dumpster from new heating units.
