Safety and security
Room was very clean. The towels were soft and new. The security locks on the suite were very secure.
When I arrived at check in time I was told that no rooms were available and should come back later. The room I did get was the corner room with the view of a cement wall. This room should probably be used as a storage room and not a guest room. Call prior to specify.
Location was fantastic! Right in the middle of Old Town! Rooms aren't fancy but were clean. Pool area is nice.
All of the electronics, including coffee pot were plugged into one power strip that didn't work.
The location of the motel was great for walking to old town Scottsdale. The price of the room made it affordable. The room itself was very quite. It had been updated but need some TLC in the bathtub area. The bed was comfortable. I would stay again!!
Our room was so quiet and comfortable! We heard NO talking, laughing, etc. from the neighboring rooms. Also, there was a clerk by the name of Corbin, who was friendly and exceptional in providing us with information and assistance.
A couple of ladies on the weekend were not so helpful and didn't attempt to speak or acknowledge that the customers were in the room during breakfast. When asked about a fork, one was almost rude in saying there were no forks available. Then, when we asked if we could take an extra blanket to our room, we were told that Housekeeping would bring one, but never did. Also, we and another couple both hung the "do not disturb" sign on the outside of the room door but the cleaning crew went in anyway while we were out.
Convenient location in a established area
The room was clean and in good shape. The staff was awesome - so friendly and helpfully. They made all the difference.
excellent front desk staff location is amazing close to restaurants, nightlife, shopping etc
maid forgot to clean bathtub - dirty superbowl weekend so way overpriced or what you received
This hotel was way beyond what we expected for the cost. The hotel seems to be an older one but everything has been redone. We've just traveled across the country and this was nicer than hotels that cost a lot more.
Folks were extremely friendly and helpful. Location is awesome...walk to restaurants and Old Town Scottsdale. We will be back. It's an updated Howard Johnson exterior entry hotel. It has all of the needed amenities, however. Not the Marriott, but for the money, a great value. Folks walking everywhere, plenty of golf cart taxi's working on tips, active area - felt very safe.
Cold breakfast only...but we were good with that. Plenty of restaurants just across the street if a warm one is needed.
location, was close to everything
Great location, nice room and an OK breakfast.
It was close to the downtown area
Breakfast was a little primitive will very few tables and chairs.
The kindness of the young receptionist upon our late c/in. The same in the morning ... If we come back we definitly come back here.
Location and price was great. the room was clean and very well equipped.
there was a disturbing noise like heater or something
location the voice of the girl that works in the morning shift, very friendly
water leak in bathtub is that the name for breakfast ? bad attitude of girl night shift tv remote did not work hot water tank broke down wifi did not have enough signal shower curtain was old poor blankets on beds last time i stayed there was 1999 and i can tell the hotel is still owned by the same cheap old owners
Great location. Great Value. Clean and Friendly
We are just used to a softer bed, but it was fantastic overall !
Cozy. Price. Greeting at front desk.
Clump of hair in toilet bowl looked like someone cut their hair. Queen size fitted sheets on double bed
Excellent bang for the buck, great location, clean, staff were excellent and we enjoyed our stay.
Didn't have any complaints, got exactly what we expected for the $ spent.
I liked how close restaurants are walking distance, and the cleaness of the room.
Nice bed Clean shower
The floor needs water and soap. It's so dirty it sticks to your shoes. You don't want to walk on your socks or bear feet. Wifi seems to be a difficult thing in America. We have been traveling through the stakes for a month and only a few places that deliver proper wifi. Again this was slow and unreliable.
Area is good .
Second floor room . I like ground floors rooms.
I flew down to Phoenix last weekend for some golf and the football game. Was greeted at check-in with warmth/friendliness. Helpful staff all weekend. I travel & stay at many 4/5 star hotels, and would rate the staff at this HJ in top 5%. Room was spacious, clean and tidy. Comfortable bed.
Although the washroom was clean, the facilities were dated. The shower was OK, but could use a newer shower head.
location , and coffee in the morning The price per night for room was fair for what I received in benefits.
pillows were less than desirable, no bars or support in the shower.
It was a very clean room besides the carpet. Great friendly staff. Nice free breakfast every morning.
Should remove carpet or get it cleaned more often. The carpet was a dark pattern that doesn't show the dirt, but my feet were really dirty after walking on it bare foot.
