The bath towels are ridiculously tiny and thin. Management really needs to replace them. My daughter was not feeling well, so we stayed in the room until later in the day, so it was a crapshoot as to whether or not housekeeping would do the room after 1 PM.
The inclusive breakfast was the exact same things every day for the whole week we were there, without deviation: Costco muffins, bananas, coffee, apple juice, orange juice, milk. There was instant oatmeal available as well 2 dry cereals, Cheerios and raisin bran. A tray of white bread, wheat bread, English muffins and bagels, and a communal vat of margarine, cream cheese, grape jelly, and peanut butter.
The room itself is run down and in need of repair--a hole in the drywall where the doorknob bangs it, and various other issues. My room had an old-fashioned TV, although my friend's room had a flatscreen.
The bottom line is though, this place was cheap to stay at in a crazy expensive, resort town.
The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. This motel is a reasonable deal, considering how expensive everything is in Lake Tahoe. The bed was extremely comfortable, and it was fantastic to be able to park my car right outside my room door. While the free breakfast was minimalistic, it was still a way to save money. This is definitely a "You get what you pay for" type of place to stay. Another great advantage of this motel is that it is conveniently located close to casinos, beaches and parks. It was also within walking distance of a CVS pharmacy, Safeway grocery store, and various restaurants.
