The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, going out of their way to get me where I needed to be (I was there for the March on Washington on 12/13/14 and did not know the area at all). The rooms were spotless, made up with care. Whoever cleaned up and remade the room showed pride in their work. The price I got was unbelievable for Washington ($77.00 all taxes included) so how can you beat it? Also, they had a complimentary, fresh, delicious continental breakfast. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Washington!
Nothing - it was a perfect stay.
Room was clean, comfortable bed. Neighborhood was good (thanx to Union Market nearby).
just a little more thoroughness in cleaning of a toilette, would b nice.
Excellent value and an easy walk to the DC Metro and food emporiums, - (i.e. you won't find better bang for the buck for a Metro-convenient location in DC, because believe me, I searched long and hard for something reasonable and this place will always be on my "A-list" for value when I tour DC).
They pack-up the continental breakfast too early for late sleepers like me !
This was disaster. The location is not good, somehow out of city in the highway. Dirty rooms, no secure neighbourhood and. A lot of noise from highway doesn't let you sleep well.
This place was really big and comfortable. We had all neccessary things: iron, coffee machine, hairdryer, TV, desk. Room was clean and we were upset we had to leave it so quickly. Also, free breakfast was tasty
- The Staff is nice and helpful - Comfortable bed - Wireless is ok
- A bit far from the Downtown, but it´ok
It was very quiet, the room was spacious and clean.
Too far away from retail services.
Given this price, it is excellent overall, clean and comfortable room with close distance to gas station and McDonnas.
The only problem is the traffic flow in front of hotel. Located next to a high traffic flow way makes is noisy at early night time. And the road doesn't allow left turn in front of hotel.
Early checkin with no extra fees
Poor breakfast and fair fi wi signal
Poor quality and services.
The good position
close to road, a little noisy
The bed was comfortable
The room was dirty. The pillows were small. The WiFi kept cutting in and out.
Had a nice few days here. Generally a quiet place even though it's on a major street. It was handy to the places I needed to go, but it isn't real close to the usual tourist places. No problems.
The WiFi was sometimes a little slow, but it wasn't a big thing. There is a train track nearby, and now and then a train. I didn't find that a problem, but others might. No whistles or horns, just a bit of rumble. Wasn't enough to disturb my sleep or anything.
Event thou i liked Washington i would go back again to that hotel, it is old, noisy and not so clean.

The neighbourhood is really unsafe!!!! The night reception is impolite!!! Pay more but be relax, it really deserves.
Far Location to the Metro, you have to cross the bridge. Motel is not clean. Breakfast is very ordinary. It is not recommendable for friends who want to explore Washington D.C.
clean room and friendly staff
hotel is located between a railroad and a busy street, so it was quit loud during the night. the wlan was too slow.
The hotel is well located quite close to the center and at 15 min walk to a metro station. The rooms are large and well equipped (fridge, coffe set, iron, hair drier, etc.). When booking, the non smoking option was unavailable, but we could change the room (to even a higher-rank one) at the reception for free. Would stay there again.
The hotel is located in a busy street (NY ave), and traffic noise may be disturbing in the night for those who are sensitive. (I was too tired to hear it and slept well).
Cheap and comfortable for our one night stay in Washington D.C.
The reception staff spoke limited English so when asking about taxis and getting around, weren't you helpful. The location wasn't great. Easy to get to Union Station but the room shook everytime a train went past bed this went on most of the night.
cobwebs toxic combination of stale tobacco and cleaning product smell.
The cost per night is reasonable and my room was clean daily.
The location is too far from public transportation (Metro). The wifi in my room was very slow; most of the time, I had to come out to get better reception.
Location to subway Breakfast
Relatively secure place. Good value for the price.
Noisy due to train running nearby.
-Lack of cleanliness all over. -No maintenance at all. -Wasted furniture, carpets -Totally isolated building -Dangerous area I couldn't believe I have reserved this filthy place with more than 30 days ahead to our trip. Unfortunately I remember some Howard Johnson from many years ago but this is a lousy imitation of it. Maybe in the past was good not anymore, at least this location.
