Far Location to the Metro, you have to cross the bridge. Motel is not clean. Breakfast is very ordinary. It is not recommendable for friends who want to explore Washington D.C.
clean room and friendly staff
hotel is located between a railroad and a busy street, so it was quit loud during the night. the wlan was too slow.
The hotel is well located quite close to the center and at 15 min walk to a metro station. The rooms are large and well equipped (fridge, coffe set, iron, hair drier, etc.). When booking, the non smoking option was unavailable, but we could change the room (to even a higher-rank one) at the reception for free. Would stay there again.
The hotel is located in a busy street (NY ave), and traffic noise may be disturbing in the night for those who are sensitive. (I was too tired to hear it and slept well).
Cheap and comfortable for our one night stay in Washington D.C.
The reception staff spoke limited English so when asking about taxis and getting around, weren't you helpful. The location wasn't great. Easy to get to Union Station but the room shook everytime a train went past bed this went on most of the night.
cobwebs toxic combination of stale tobacco and cleaning product smell.
The cost per night is reasonable and my room was clean daily.
The location is too far from public transportation (Metro). The wifi in my room was very slow; most of the time, I had to come out to get better reception.
Location to subway Breakfast
Relatively secure place. Good value for the price.
Noisy due to train running nearby.
-Lack of cleanliness all over. -No maintenance at all. -Wasted furniture, carpets -Totally isolated building -Dangerous area I couldn't believe I have reserved this filthy place with more than 30 days ahead to our trip. Unfortunately I remember some Howard Johnson from many years ago but this is a lousy imitation of it. Maybe in the past was good not anymore, at least this location.
No TV guide
Considering the cost of everything in dc money wise this is the best deal around! Ample free parking and wifi with free very basic breakfast. It is a long walk to the metro station but not impossible. A very good deal for the money and i probably will stay there again for that reason.
The room smelled like a chimney from cigarette smoke and the location is right on the edge of a very bad area. Be sure you specify up front that you want a no smoking room if that is what you want. The metro station is a long walk away over a long bridge and well hidden behind the courtyard by Marriott hotel which is considerably more expensive and everything like parking is extra! Make sure you know where this metro station is if you plan to walk there so you don't end up in another questionable area.
Arrived at 5:30pm some rooms not ready had to wait 30 minutes. Booked non smoking rooms 3 months prior tried to give us smoking rooms. Eventually gave us a room that they said was for someone else after a 40 minute wait!
Was a great place to stay. Was a bit disappointed the pool wasnt open but friendly helpful staff. An all round nice place to stay. Would definitely return.
It did cost to park you car, like all the other hotels. Hot water to spare.
Bedding was out dated. Sink didn't drain well, not clogged.

about 10min walk to subway and fast foods, good breakfast, clean place, good value for money in WDC. frendly staff.
pool open just in national haliday days
I come back to the hotel with my room in shambles, go to the front desk, managers reaponce is "well you're the only one staying in there". Really? So the housekeeper comes in to fix what they clearly walked out on and never came back (at least I hope that's what happened). While she's fixing my room her adolescent child sees her in the window and just walks in my room and starts talking to her, stays there the entire time. Really awkward. Called about no cable, front desk told me they would send someone to check on it. An hour passes..nothing. Call again, " No it can't be fixed today, maybe tomorrow" when I told the man I check out tomorrow he replys, " well you won't have cable." Not to mention this ghetto motel does not even have conditioner and when they actually do clean your room, they take back any extra shampoo you have asked for. Customer service is a joke and the manager called me mama as I was checking out and told me I would receive a discount for all my troubles. Tried to have me leave with no receipt and no discount. Bottom line... Just don't go here.
My price went up when I checked in.
--Subway is nearby, very noisy. --Tax not include in the payment, we paid for more than 50 dollars tax when we chick in. --Breakfast is few choices, little.
The (unsafe) environment and the noisy, arguing, cursing, aggresive guests next door. Started very early in the morning and kept on going for about an hour (every morning). The walk down new york avenue gives you the creeps after dark.
The crowd staying in the hotel was horrible seemeed to be anti social sorry to say but Families should never stay here
I like it was close to downtown.Free breakfast.
No T.V. remote.Hedges blocking view of New York Ave getting out of parking lot.
Staff were very pleasant & accommodating. Breakfast was plentiful.
Stinky room (from smoking). Building was run down. They put us in a room across from a wall, no view.
Bed was a king size and adequate
Could hear noise from the road. Breakfast could have been better, more healthy options such as fruit. In bath, trim around door needs to be replaced. Ice machine right outside door was inoperable. Carpet could have been cleaner
Area is rather run-down and unsafe. Getting to any of D.C.'s wonderful tourist attractions safely will require a cab. Staff was useless and I was directed to two rooms that already had people staying in them twice before getting a vacant one. Wifi was spotty and power sockets were loose. Bathroom had obviously not been cleaned. Breakfast was free, but disgusting. The nearby railroad will keep you up at night, even if the traffic on NY Ave., NE or the noise from other rooms won't. In my opinion, this property should not be listed on booking.com.
