Score from 185 reviews Good
Close to town. Decent beds.
Pool and hot tub dirty. There is a fan motor so loud that even trying to relax in there was impossible. We were given a room with no flushing toilet. You had to turn on the water by hand letting it fill then turn it off as it leaked all over. Then you could flush it. They knew about it prior to giving us the room.
Staff was exceptional
Entry scanner lock to building was broker and thus anyone off the street could enter the building
good hotel the staff very good room clean ,my friends happy with the room and money they pay.
the tv. not was working property.
close to interstate, close to grand canyon railway, fair price but rooms are old, had breakfast bar but didn't use it, had indoor pool but didn't use it, staff was friendly.
rooms smelled like cigarette smoke, card access to building was broken and door taped so anyone could enter, remote to television didn't operate properly, no elevator to second floor.
Stay was good and staff friendly . Rooms was good standard and clean . Value for money . Pool area could do with an upgrade but you get what you pay for . Breakfast area nice and clean . Location is good if going to the Grand Canyon . Have fridge and microwave in the room which can be handy if staying few days.
Could do with some seats out the front for smokers no where to sit , just a suggestion
Convenient location to Grand Canyon Train. Staff was friendly.
1) NO ELEVATOR to 2nd Flr!!!!... very hard and inconvenient to take luggages thru narrow stairwell. 2) Small breakfast area. 3) Small bathroom. 4) No microwave even though the hotel picture shows them. WILL NOT RETURN or recommend to friends!
Everything was good. No complaints!
close to down town
Easy walking distance to the Grand Canyon Railway. Spacious, clean room. Good bathroom.
Breakfast area a bit too cramped. No lift
beds were comfortable
old and smelly, breakfast was awful!
AC in the rooms
no AC in the hotel (front desk) pool too much chlorine..!
Fridge in room.
Horrible security! The outside building door lock was 'out of order' and the thin pained window could not be secured shut. There was a piece of wood to wedge the window shut but even that was too short. Called the front desk to get the wifi credentials and they wouldn't work. The room smelt musty.
Location to the park and grand canyon railroad
Was all good
Excellent location in Williams, easy walk into town, hotel staff were fine, room was clean and well maintained, everything worked, modern TV, fridge and air conditioning. Breakfast was fine, endless coffee, juice, cereals, toast, waffles.
The room rate was very reasonable and included free wi-fi & breakfast. It is a family oriented hotel and is quiet at night. Parking is in front and all rooms are accessed from the inside. The lobby is manned at all hours. Fridge & safe are in the room. Microwave is available in breakfast area. We used it to warm up some restaurant take-home food. The shower water is instantly hot, and has good water pressure. Lobby sells 25-cent postcards. Overall, it is a nice clean hotel for the money.
Location is in a semi-secluded area of Williams, AZ about 1.5 blocks from its downtown. It's a little desolate for our taste but might work for others. (tip: location is 1 hour drive from Grand Canyon National Park's South Rim entrance - give yourself extra time) The pool was nice, but it had a large window into the street. I personally, didn't want to be on display while in my swim trunks. The breakfast consisted of starchy items: cereal, muffins, and make-yourself waffles (tip: use 1 and a half dixie cups of batter, they turn out pretty good). On the room: There was no conditioner, just shampoo, soap, & lotion. Tip on the TV remote: point into the air (not at the screen), so the infrared rays reach the back of the set. Fridge made a thumpy sound if set higher than level 2.
Cleanliness, convenience to town, it was quiet and comfortable.`
The light over the sink was too dim for shaving and make-up. There were no ramps to roll luggage to the door and no elevators.
We were sleeping when a large group came in after midnight slamming the doors and very loud. I called the desk clerk and he stated wait 5 minutes before calling him back. We had to put up with the noise for over an hour. The continental breakfast is not a continental breakfast but waffles, cereal, and coffee. No eggs, no toast, or yogurt.
Location was close to the places we needed to be.
The facility was old and not well taken care of. Poor availability for the continental breakfast. Stand up room only.
The possibility to have a rollaway bed for 10 dollars per night and the proximity to downtown Williams. The front desk was very efficient.
Limited choice for breakfast and the very unconfortable rollaway bed.
Location of the hotel and proximity to the Grand Canyon. Nice, big room with comfortable beds and great TV. Everything you need for a pleasant overnight stay before making your way to the canyon.
At the time, the access doors to the hotel rooms were not secure. The security system seemed to be broken, so door locks were taped open so anyone could get in. I'm sure it was a temporary fix and they were working on the problem, but it made me feel a little uneasy.
The location was great for walking to the train or uptown.
The breakfast wasn't the best, and the card security slot(the one you have to use your card to enter the building) on our building was broken. They posted a sign on the door that it was broken, so that told anyone that should be in there that they could just open the door and come in. Howard Johnson should fix that before they get a law suit!
Not far from downtown
WiFi didn't work. Small breakfast nook for the amount of people eating.
Our room was on a second floor and there is any elevator. We are woman and it was hard to carry the luggage upstairs and nobody help us to do it.
Easy excess to the freeway.
