I liked that it was in walking distance of everything.

The location was OK for our quick pilot training in Winter Haven. The parking and rooms were convenient.

The breakfast is meager at best. No eggs, just cereal and toast. Plus, they limit the hours of breakfast. I think that 9:30 is a little early for breakfast to be packed up. I also think having the area cleaned and chairs turned upside down for the rest of the days with the limited lobby wasn't a wise choice. The hotel is going through renovations. There was construction noise during Saturday afternoon. There is no fitness room, which was described on the booking form.

Yoilet kept running and refilling all night. noise in hallways until 12:00 midnight.

We arrived 90 minutes after check-in time and our room wasn't ready. We had to wait an additional 45 minutes for the room. The pool was ICE COLD - there is NO heater. The room was not very clean. The sliding door didn't close completely. The walls had chipping paint. There were rooms that had the doors open and beds stripped as if they were being cleaned.... They were in the same condition the next morning - with their doors still wide open.

The carpet was filthy, the room smelled like dirty feet and cigarette, the two chairs in the room had some sort of stains on them, the spring boxes of the bed were stain (yellow colorish, NASTY), at the time of sleep we noticed the cover sheet had some red stains on them (blood, GROSS) the TV had cigarette burts and so did the carpet, the fridge's inside trades were rusty and the fridge it self was dirty. . . what a bad experience this was... NO I would not recommend anybody to stay in this nasty place... the place doesn't need to be luxurious. . . it just needs to have some hygiene.

The deciding factor for choosing Howard Johnson for what we needed it for was because on the web site you advertised a work out room. When I could not find it I asked the front desk they said this location did not have one. That was a disappointment.

The room was dark and dreary the facility needs to be upgraded badly. The breakfast was miserly. The pool was cold and not attended to the grounds although large were poorly taken care of

Location to baseball sport complex

Ordered a king said they did not have one wanted to give us 2 double beds and housekeeping cleaned one for us we checked in at 6pm and true check in starts at 3pm the king should have been ready listed a work out room and there was not one at all old coaches sitting in a side hall way did not like the feeling of that at all

In few words my stay was great. rooms were big, beds were clean and comfy and the location i was very please with it, Not bad neighborhood, i had everything around hotel. staff friendly. the howard johnson winter haven has a great price also. i picked hotel quick at last minute and i had no complaints.

The room was clean and the beds where comfotable.

The hotel was run down, the "breakfast and breakfast area" was not inviting, the TV area was not on for up to date news( traffic nor weather ), area outside was fraught with debris from carpet and bags of trash. I would not choose this establishment again.

I had to call the front desk three times durring the night because of noise in the adjoining room.

The price was low...friendly and courteous staff. The room definitely could use updating... breakfast was lousy, but what do you expect with the price??? The water smelled like dead frog, but that's Orlando for you. Would stay there again because close to Legoland. Also, comfortable king size bed.

This was just an inexpensive place to stay on the way to somewhere else. However, the service was very good. The hotel is a bit run down, but OK for an overnight. Plenty of room in the double for a family of 4 (or 5 with an extra bed).

Stayed at H.j winter haven as a stop over on our way to the gulf.it was O.k ( just about ) as a building. Desperately needs a makeover. But the staff were friendly the breakfast was ample and the bed was excellent just so scruffy.
