Club Quarters in Washington DC is a new concept for the hotel industry. This private, full service hotel overlooks Farragut Square, and is 2 blocks north of the White House, and near Lafayette Square....
Score from 765 reviews Very good
Located less than 1 mile from the University of Maryland College Park, this hotel provides free shuttle services to the campus. Facilities include an outdoor pool and an on-site fitness center.
Score from 150 reviews Good
Friendliness of staff, efficiency of shuttle. Good selection for breakfast. Quick check in. Comfortable beds and rooms.
Only enough coffee for 1cup each. Distance from convenience shop.
That there was a fridge and microwave.
i liked everything - good spacious room, very neat & clean
Spring bed's springs are out (meant not good, bed needs to be replaced)
The pool was closed.
Did not show 2nd room on reservation and charged slightly more than Booking.com confirmation
When you need something they respond quickly
To much traffic people partying in the rooms and smoking weed and smelling up the floor. And its supposed to be non smoking rooms.
I really enjoyed having the shuttle service to metro. The driver's were great and you could kick back and relax
the aircondition is perfect
the breakfast and the cleanliness of the hotel cause there where reptile in the hotel cause i woke up one morning to find out a rat walking out of my room. though complained to the hotel staff. and some insect in the room that made me uncomfortable.
Get some water into that swimming pool please!!
free shuttle to METRO
the chaos in the breakfast room
At first we were nervous when we pulled up that the area was safe once inside everything was perfect. Beds were comfy and the room was spotless. They were very nice and friendly. Free breakfast was delicous. Definatly would stay again if in area. We used it as a stop over on our way south. It was perfect and right off highway so made it easy to get going in morning.
I never heard of a hotel charging $30.00 for a rollaway. Almost all give you for free and if they charge it's never more than $10.00. I was very unhappy with that.
Beds were comfortable, pillows comfortable, loved the shower.
Carpet in room was very worn in spots and old looking. Rooms could stand updating.
The hotel was damp and smelled moldy. Even the sheets felt damp. Would not stay here again.
The price was good. Location reasonably close to DC.
The facility is old. Our first night, there was no soap in our room. Front desk said they would send housekeeping. Housekeeping didn't arrive. We shared soap with our family. Lastly, this hotel is too busy. They don't have a large enough breakfast space to accommodate the number of guests. We skipped breakfast first day.
Nice quiet place to sleep.
Check in process a bit old fashioned waiting for a fax to confirm booking
staff were very friendly, thoughtful and caring. They made my stay a pleasurable one. It felt like home away from home. I would definitely stay there again
The staff. Our room's air conditioning was not working; and it was handled within 15 minutes! That was great!!
I didn't like that the pool does not open until 4:00 p.m. That defeats the purpose of having a pool!
It was close to six flags
I booked and paid for a queen room but once I got there I was told there were only double beds rooms left and they wouldn't refund me the difference. The room was run down and not the cleanest. Th free breakfast was very tiny considering the size of the hotel and it was too crowded for us to even stay (was not waiting an hour to get our breakfast) not a 7/10 hotel like the reviews said. Very disappointed!!
Like room and the friendly staff!
nothing wont ever stay at hojo again
the property was badly built, the halls smelled from water damage and marijiana, the room was old and out dated. the staff could have been more professional. the hojo at this location needs to be torn down and rebuilt not just remodeled
Hotel was convenient to my business meetings. Room was cool and clean.
At check-in I was given the wrong room. This was corrected after I went back to the front desk. Temperature control didn't work in the room. It was either cold or hot. No in-between.
Price, WiFi access
Clean towels with hair on them. Also, When I requested to pay with cash at the end of my stay, it was not noted and my credit card was charged without my consent.
It was close to the downtown DC area, that is about it
My wife, mother-in-law, my wife's aunt and my 5 children booked 3 separate rooms at this hotel weeks in advance. Upon arriving and getting our rooms, we found out that my room (which I would share with my two sons) had no air conditioning. I called down to the front desk for someone to come check on the air conditioner. Within 15 minutes a man, who I assumed was the maintenance man though he had no hotel uniform or other identification on his person, arrived with several small hoses in his pocket. I opened the door, there was no "hello, I am here to look at your AC" or "I work for the hotel, I got a call that you are having trouble with your air conditioning", I got a simple, blunt "AC?" and he proceeded to enter the room. He walked across the room to the running (but not cold by any stretch) air unit and checked the settings and looked at his watch. He asked me what time I checked in (it was about an hour before the call was initially made). At this time he tried to remove the cover to the unit with his bare hands and when it didn't come off he hurried across the room towards the door and said "I have to go down to the desk, I'll be back". Almost an hour went by and not even so much as a phone call from the front desk to let me know the guy had even arrived. At this point my wife came to my room from hers and was very upset because I was supposed to be waiting for this imaginary repair man to come back and it was holding up our plans for the evening, including a trip to the pool with my kids before it got too dark and the pool closed. My wife called down to the front desk and got Monica (the same person that checked me in upon arriving at the hotel) and she asked where the repair man was and what was the status of getting my air fixed. Monica told my wife "oh yeah, we are just going to send up a fan". My wife became incensed.
comfortable, clean and nice and friendly staff.
Openning hours for business center could be 6 am instead of 7 am but still ok.
The things that we were promised?
What was promised was very hard to come by. 1st, a shuttle to the train station. In the morning, not a problem as it was booked the night before. When we were ready to come back it was a different thing. The 2nd night we waited half hour, the 3rd night we waited 50mins along with 20 other people as time went on. After 2 phone calls and calls from the other guests he finally arrived. Not sorry but trying to say he had been to the station twice in the previous half hour. He didn't even have the decency to look after the van door. Just sat in the van while we bundled in. As it was hot everyone packed in and he said nothing. 22 passengers didn't concern him when it was only to seat 10. 2nd, I asked for hair conditioner and was told they don't supply it. Left a note for the maid and was given 3 tubes. 3rd, hair dryer broken and it was never fixed. 4th, key cards kept stopping opening door. Had to keep getting them reset. 5th, had loud disturbances until 3:15am. We complained and someone spoke to the guests once but it didn't do any good. 6th, maid woke us at 8:15am to clean the room. She wanted to get her work done. Don't guests come first anymore? We spoke to the manager and he listened only to make excuses for his staff. We are reluctant to stay at this chain of hotels as we are concerned that this is a practice in the other hotels.
