The foyer and interior design of the Hudson is still pretty spectacular after all these years, plus the location is excellent. We were also big fans of the Korres bathroom products. The concierge staff were wonderful too - they did all our restaurant bookings, basketball games, even organised a complimentary glass of champagne at one of our dinners. The reception staff were pretty unhelpful and not very friendly when we first checked in. Also the telephone is unclear - none of the direct dial buttons (e.g. to room service) worked, it was only when I went scouring through the hotel guide that we found a 4-digit extension number. Even then, we rang through 4 times and no one at front desk picked up. The 5th time, they put us on hold or so long that we had to hang up. The room is also extremely tiny for the money that we were paying (ended up being a lot more due to city tax, service tax, etc), and we could barely fit in the bathroom. The breakfast was ordinary and is served in the bar where anyone off the street comes in at night - too many dishevelled drunkards falling over. |

The desk staff did a nice job of working through an issue with the reservation when I first checked in. I spent extra money to move up two room grades and got a tiny room with no view. I hate to think what the regular rooms were like. The hotel is suppose to be super-stylish and chic, but I found things like the very very dark lobby and no hotel sign outside the front door to be just pretentious. Probably I am just too old for the place. The younger crowd seemed to be having a good time. |

Cool Bar and reception area. Library bar very nice. Rooms are small which we expected. There was no Room Service Menu or Mini Bar and not even a bottle of water in the room for $300-$400 a night you feel a bit like you were being ripped off. I have stayed at The Sanderson in London part of the same hotel chain and it was much better experiance. Plus the bars in the hotel on a couple of nights were closed for private events so we had to go else where for a drink. |

I liked the atmosphere of the hotel, design and the location! The Hudson bar is amazing! Only the room size but you got used to it as it was cozy, the housekeeping does a very good job. Everything is nice and clean. |

I"m here for the second time and again I have received a room adapted for wheel chairs and consequently with poor bathroom installations. Had to complain on the front desk to receive a proper room. |

It's convenience for downtown Manhatten and it's friendly relaxed atmosphere. Although they are trying to have their own design and style, it was simply too dark. The lighting was poor in both the lobby area and also the rooms. |

I really enjoyed the hotel -- lobby is great. Will definitely come back to see courtyard in spring. Double room was fine -- halls were a little too dark but that did not seem to be uniform. Loved the hotel bar. |

i asked the adress of nobu restaurant for a meeting dinner with friends and the Hudson's concierge didn't say it has two... I went to the wrong adress and lost my meeting. |

Seriously, only the location and beautiful lobby and bar area (Which sadly I was too busy to enjoy). The rooms are not user friendly. No space for clothes (dresser) lighting for reading very poor. Bathroom space for personal items almost nonexistant. The worst part is that our room was flooded when we arrived at 12:00 We did not have any help after several requests in moving our belongings so did not get settled since we had to repack and carry all our belongs ourselves until 2:30 A.M.. This was following a 3 1/2 hour performance I was in at Radio City. I had a performance the next day and the lack of sleep almost did me in. Residents below our room came up to our room as it had flooded their apartment (faucet turned on by itself and over Continuing..... And over flow drain must have been plugged. The manager simply did not care as actually said because she upgraded us to a suite we should be thankful ... basically it was not a concern to her that we had to move ourselves in the middle of the night. Additionally, the doormen never opened a taxi door for me or helped me get out with luggage, bags, etc..... or even got a cab for me. Every time I saw them they were standing like statues next to the door talking to their friends (employees). Once I would approach the door they would greet me politely but it was too late! |

Helpful staff- the staff could not do enough to help me with any questions and were consistently polite and friendly. The Atmosphere was great, everyone was having a great time and I always felt happy and safe there. Wellknown- the hotel was well known by all the taxi drivers in town and it was easy to get directions there if I got lost, plus it was in a great easy to find location. |

Court yard nicely done, architecture in the reception area nice. Nice looking furniture in the rooms. Overall good interior design. Friendly staff. -'Disco' next to reception area already at 21:00 in the evening,-very small overpriced rooms,-very expensive internet access in rooms and business center, -too strong airco in the breakfast area, -very uncomfortable bed, -tv in the room, that didn't work,-whole hotel is too dark, more light would make interiors nicer, -overall feeling dusty |

Nice dance club. The food was delicious but pricey. My bed was comfy, cool light fixtures in the room. food too expensive, restaurant too dark |
