The unit we had was nice, but could hear guests in unit above and beside us.
The amount of renovation that was going on during our stay. The noise from other units. There seemed some confusion the first couple of days of our visit, our room wasn't clean, clean towel were not provided and other housekeeping was not attended to. We had to go to the front desk the first couple of days to ask for clean supplies and coffee.
Staff was great at accommodating a special need. Room was spacious; linens comfy & clean (pillows too stiff, but staff raced around to get us different pillows), bathroom excellent. Pool excellent, and excellent location.
Parking charges were a surprise as was resort fee. Thus WiFi isn't really free. Had to pay the resort fee for the WiFi fee, and of course, since you came to a resort hotel, you wold want to pay the resort fee so you could take advantage of the pool.
Location location location
A little expensive for Sunday night.
Nearby kayak ride was my favorite. It would be even better if Humphrey's had year-round concerts.
Parking was hard to find after 9:00 pm. Taxes and miscellaneous city tourism fees raised the cost of our five day stay quite a bit.
We simply love the accommodations of Humphreys! It was a quiet and peaceful place, near from port of San Diego. All packages that I ordered to deliver there were intact. We love it!
It was everything perfect!
Good Location for out of downtown
Rooms need a good clean, and detail.
Room, location and the nice service repair guy.
Used booking.com. what is with the wifi charge? bill for one night was $166+ coming in for the Thanksgiving weekend and will be staying someplace else in San Diego.
Felt like we were on a tropical island! Grounds and room were great.
Always love watching the palm trees poolside
Location was beautiful. Landscaping and pool was nice. Beds were comfortable. Restaurant food was very good and staff was friendly and helpful.
Mini fridge and air conditioner didn't work. Pool was dirty. Wifi was weak to non-existent in the room.
the bar by the pool
$14.00 per day parking fee!
The bathroom ceiling had mold. It was very loud the following morning. A/C was very fickle.
Bike rental, up grade , very quiet. Location , who ever made the up grade because of be disability thank you very much . This was for business. Turned out to be a nice bonding expirence with daughter
I don't think your staff vacuums the carpet, sofa or curtins well enough. Especelly with lots of spiders staff should vacuum more often, staff slow to offer us service at back stage and reg restraunt. I have to come back on Oct20th 2014 hate have to look for a differ hotel, but don't want to get bit and for the money I expect better staff.
Location Room was large and spacious Entertainment Pool is nice and clean
Lots of hidden extra costs Food and drink expensive
Location is great. Hotel staff were awesome.
Wi-Fi reception was poor. Concert security staff was very rude.
Everything was great
Parking was a little crowded
- The room was beautiful - the swimming pool - high standard for a good price (we had before a creepy hotel in down town for the same price)
- Room a little bit too dark - You have to take the car to visit the nicer places in SD
Intimate concert setting Clean rooms Good food Great weather
Great view of the bay. Awesome staff, good food.
Parking was kinda crummy, they let people who are attending the concert buy parking permits and on concerts nights parking is very limited.
I thought it was expensive. Over 300 a night and the noise from the event that was there was very loud.
We were there to celebrate our 15th anniversary and this hotel was outstanding. On Friday when we checked in there was a concert outside our room with beautiful music. We were able to view the concert. On Saturday morning my husband ordered breakfast for the both of us. Later that evening we rode bicycles that the hotel provided. And after the ride we went to the Humpreys Restaurant for dinner and we had a wonderful dinner. This is the best hotel I ever stayed in. Wow
Upgrade when room not ready for early check in. Pool area was very nice! Room service at pool was great. Breakfast restaurant staff very friendly. Cleaning staff also friendly. Comfortable beds, bedding. Young man at desk very helpful for directional information and local transportation (however, he took over for the young woman who knew nothing). Liked that there was on site laundry with TV. Free parking definitely a bonus but on concert nights, if you had not parked prior to guest arrival, parking lot filled with concert goers.
No good restaurants in immediate area. Two of the nights we were there, there were big concert names playing. Hotel restaurant totally booked. Neighboring hotel restaurant poor alternative. Pool side drinks free poured made for terrible tropical drinks...high alcohol content (sometimes as much as 4 oz. a drink!) did not taste good. Rooms need new carpeting. Carpet stained and smelly. New carpets would change room dramatically. Too remote with no services within walking distance. Set up more for concert goers, babyboomers. Upon departure, thought, in error, there was an issue with prepayment. Altho' it was my misunderstanding, desk staff became quite aggressive and defensive. Soured the departure rather than "hope you enjoyed your visit and see you at your next visit" to "It's not our problem, it's yours. Bye bye". Funny how last interaction spoils it. Front desk staff should know this ie. assertive vs aggresive.
First time quests and it was a nice stay.
