Location is good.
The night-shift staffs are not educated and doesnt know how to treat the guests.
Staff very kind.
Great staff, great rooms and brilliant location to enjoy Santa Monica.
Strangely this was the only place we stayed in a two week trip that didn't have a full length mirror.
your site says that a pool was among the facilities and that was not true...I need a pool for exercises...there is no pool...I moved to another hotel...a lot of work...I should not have paid the full price...I believe I deserve apologies and a big discount for your false information on your site...I am still thinking what I am going to do about that! shame...
Many problems with the room that were unattended. The staff were polite and responsive, they just couldn't seem to fix the problems (e.g., slow running toilet, television) and the maids seemed incapable of cleaning the room in the 8 hours a day we were out.
Staff was very helpful. I forgot a bag in my car and the valet went right back and brought the car, even though he had just parked it!
Tried to have drinks at the Penthouse, but was full and no special section or possibilities for a guest to have preferred seating. Host was no help and offered me a parking validation. I was already a guest, as I tried to explain.
Great location, most of the staff were excellent,
We had reserved a king, on checking in we were given a queen, very small room, When we asked to have it corrected as we had reserved and paid for a king, were told all kings were booked, and hotel was busy so too bad, after further discussion were given slightly larger room but no king, Not a good experience
Nice hotel with its own vibe. They do all things quite well, period. But the location really beats everything. My suite had an amazing ocean view, the ambience is a bit dated but kind of cool. Friday and Saturday nights will get loud because of the Penthouse, so beware if you're a light sleeper or don't like partying.
The hotel was decorated so beautifully. We loved the Penthouse views and cocktails. The hotel was in a perfect location so it was not noisy but within walking distance of all of the excitement.
The restaurant and location
I asked them not to run my card I held my reservation on, they did it anyway
VERY comfortable rooms/beds/cleanliness/up-dated/staff very kind! The Pent House restaurant on the top of the Hotel has spectacular views and delicious food. We had cocktails and apps there as well as Brunch......turns into a party club later at night with the "velvet rope" and all, but the "bouncer" recognized us coming in from an evening out, headed to the elevator, and opened it right up and said. "Welcome Home!" Would stay there again!
Liked it all....nothing negative to report!
everything but the constant wait for elevators
Having to wait 5 or more minutes for an elevator no matter the time of day.
The hotel is perfect for a brief stay in Santa Monica.
The service in the restaurant was slow and unsatisfactory.
Staff were helpful in early check in after long flight from Australia, and booking restaurant for New Year's Eve.
Minor repairs in rooms near ours made noise to disturb our jet lagged sleep.
Location and room were excellent. Staff was very friendly.
This seems to be a party hotel. If you want to get some sleep, this may not be the place you want to be. Our room was surrounded by very noisy and rowdy groups of young adults in their mid 20's to mid 30's who screamed and slammed doors constantly between 1:30 and 4:30 am on Saturday night. For full disclosure, we're in our early 50's and have little tolerance for parties in hotel rooms. When you ask hotel staff to get you a cab, they try to get you into the more expensive town cars.
The hotel has a good location and very interesting interior design. The rooms are spacious and the beds are good.
The hotel has only one lift that makes the whole check-in/ check-out and generally moving very frustrating. The staff are plain rude (except for the bell service guys) and seem consider that staying at the hotel is already a favour so one shall not ask for more. I cannot recommend it, despite the good location, and will never stay there again.
Bed was lovely and soft Good location Very helpful staff especially the lady on Thurs morn, let me know what was going on and very helpful with transportation in area to get to places, the market day..
No tea making facilities... There has to be a jug provided with tea and coffee.. We don't want to have to dress to come down to foyer and get tea or coffee
Location parking wifi
I enjoyed the very small gym..that could be expanded..did go up to the Penthouse for drinks..very nice
The fact that you are charged for wifi..We were abhorred..
The views from our room were good. The rooftop restaurant was very good except for my husband's breakfast.
Very poor value for money. No spa bath as advertised, no tea/coffee making facilites. Furniture poor . The bell boy said it was not the "Malibu Suite" the receptionist said it was!!!!!!!
Rather noisy 2 lifts not adequate for size of hotel and had to wait 15 minutes for valet parking car return very badly organised. Bar area was basically a disco so no where to sit of an evening
nice hotel,nice location
The rooms were excellent, very clean and with quality features. The Penthouse seemed like happening place in Santa Monica,.
The reception on the tv was terrible and the drinks were over-priced.
Attention to detail and amazing choice of quality items in room equipment. From bathrobe fabric to sheets, music selection when you enter the room and service quality.
Valet wait times.
Room sizes were extremely generous and very comfortable.
