I liked the prompt couteous service of all of the staff I encountered. The view was beautiful and the location was very convenient. Do not like having to use valet parking. I like to have the ability to get to my car at anytime.
Cancelled one of my rooms without my authorization, only to find out it wasn't really lost, desk clerk didn't look for it properly. I had to purchase another room and it was not convenient for my family, I reserved double queen size rooms but I ended up with a single with a put out couch. Room had no towels in the room and we had to call several times to get them. Needless to say me nor my family members were not happy.
I loved our room. While we were only staying one night, having a table made us feel like we were living in someone's apartment for the night!
The valet took a long time to give us a ticket to park our car
Right across the way from the arena for a Charlotte Hornets game. Great location. Breakfast the next morning was brilliant.

The staff is friendly, personable and very fun.
The temperature inside the hotel was too warm for our comfort. When having breakfast, the thermostat was set at 78 degrees. We ran the air conditioner our room all weekend. The "free" breakfast Sat and Sun morning was pure chaos. The selection of food was nice, but you have to wait and in most cases ask that items be replaced. On Sun morning they ran out of eggs and orange juice by 9am. WiFi, tho free is very slow. Unusable. At check out, there are only three carts for guests to use. We waited over an hour, gave up and manually carried our belongings ( three trips up and down the elevator)

Staff and room were really great and then came 3 AM when we needed to leave!
We needed to be in South Carolina early so we rose at 3 AM to leave. At 3:35, their valet tells us he can't start our car. I found that the valet who parked it had not turned to ignition all the way off and the NEW battery (Gold Series) was totally drained. I didn't have jumper cables because my battery is NEW!! I sat and watched the valet go through ALL of the trunks of the cars for which they had keys looking for jumper cables. I called to discuss this with the Hyatt Place Manager, Colin and he brushed me off saying that this is a valet issue, not theirs. And yet, the valet service is charged on my bill!! How is the company you hired to service the customers you are servicing not a representation of your hotel? Of course, they said they were doing us a favor even helping start the car and for that I am grateful, but can't help but wonder why Hyatt, the hotel we were paying for this service, does not have a better procedure in place than having valets rifle through trunks, for such emergencies.
